And yet anti-SJW types still always think Gaider is gay liberal Satan. lol I don't. I hate SJW culture but I like much of his work. He's a solid writer, and the dark humor and snark in some of his characters was refreshing in a fantasy setting. Of course that's his earlier work when game directors might have been helping him vs whatever he did in Inquisition.

Have you crossed the threshold into our sanctuary? Have you seen the spiralling silver towers that glow pink with the rising sun? Have you flown on the back of the phoenix, and taken in the beauty and bounty of our eternal valley? Have you been lifted into the heavens and then brought crashing down to earth by the song of the starborn? If not, then I'll thank you to hold your tongue!

Posting this here too. Just watched the special ep of Sabrina (loved it) so this was bound to happen I prefer the LI to be a different class from my characters but I would love an Ambrose-like love interest as mage love interest] Maybe like an anti-tevinter tevinter mage that doesn't like tevinter if that makes sense (I need to burn that place to ashes sorry lol) Lol, if you were in Sabrina's place you would've hooked up with goat-daddy Satan in episode one. I mean... where is the lie LOL but I like me some humans too lmao

Let's have someone like.....Aveline perhaps? Not at all shady, as DA rogues often are (Sebastian doesn't exist, obviously), quite upstanding....basically the lesbian knight in shining armour. *runs off to make a thread* EDIT - I replied via the recent post archive...looks like you've covered this already )

I don't usually care that much about class with romances. Mage is the only really story relevant class. With the others, you can have a devout Andrastian, lawful good rogue in Sebastian, or a morally grey mercenary leader with stereotypical "rougish" charm in Iron Bull. You can write them any way and just have them use whatever weapon. If it doesn't effect their background or personality, it's pretty moot.
On average, though, I guess I like warriors less often because they're more often lawful good, faith driven and other qualities I just don't go for. They can and have mixed up the stereotypes, but it happens less often, so I usually like mages and rogues about equally and warriors the least. Obviously I'd be happy if lesbians got the KISA this go, because I don't want it lmao.

I like mages the least because I think mages should be locked up in towers But that won't stop me from loving a mage because he'd obviously be the exception to mages being shit!

I appreciate her biceps tho. I don't usually care that much about class with romances. Mage is the only really story relevant class. I've said before that my tastes tend to skew rogueish (as in, the personality type, not the class) or dark and cynical. I'd love a giant qunari warrior or mage lady with a rakish sense of humor and a more dominant personality. Or Calpernia and her morally grey, vaguely-Tevinter-supremacist self. I mostly support the gay/lesbian KISA on behalf of others and because Dragon Age tends to shy away from that and have those Lawful Good religious knight types be straight - but I personally don't jibe with Alistair, Cassandra, Cullen, etc. that much.

I think Alistair is the most appealing because he's actually not even religious at all lmao. Like, he openly hates the Chantry. So, he's not really like the others, so much. I think he's less black and white about things and less self righteous. When you try to do something he doesn't like he's usually just worried spoopy witches will get you or something and it's less a moral thing, which doesn't bother me as much. But I'm not super into him because he's pretty boring and his points of interest fall back on being a grumpy bastard prince and done to death tropey shit. Cullen and Cassandra, I just actively dislike, tbh. I wouldn't romance Cullen if he was an option. Not for aesthetic reasons, because basic humans are always just whatever to me as LIs. I just can't stand him and never could. At least none of the bioware KISAs are as bad as Bethesda's KISA holy grail, "I support the literal genocide of anyone with a skin condition", Danse. Seriously do not get the interest in him with so many other LIs in that game. Why not Preston? He's a KISA, imo, and a genuinely good person.

I dunno, he's pissed if you let Isolde sacrifice herself to save Connor (or kill Connor instead), and there's the Loghain issue, and he likes to remind Morrigan that the Chantry doesn't condone apostasy..... Ultimately I don't mind these things because they're part of building a character of substance, like with Cassandra's bull-headedness, Aveline's mother-henning, etc. It's less the flaws - everyone has 'em - and more that I just prefer my party to skew Neutral.

Preston was unpopular, because Bethesda ruined him by making him a walking radiant quest dispenser. He was so glitched that for some people getting near to him made him give you 3 new settlement quests. Otherwise, he was perfectly nice.
Also, Danse is neat. He got into a shitty group, who spoon fed him propaganda, but aside from Hancock, he's mad at you (and gives you minus approval) every time you are rude to a ghoul. Not to mention that the BoS messed him so up so bad that he'd rather commit suicide than consider they were wrong. The way everyone on the Prydwen turned on Danse instantly (after admiring him for years), was pretty indicative of how cult-like the BoS is.
Now if they hadn't let his story end abruptly after his personal quest, and kept that quest, where you'd depose Maxson and change the BoS as the new leader, that would have been neat. Instead he screams "for the brotherhood", while gunning down BoS vertibirds...
