The only reason to support a human gay LI for DA4. This is very valid. By the way, for example dwarven noble families exist. Why human only? Now I'm imagining a world where my DA6 PC romances gay all-grown up (and fully adult, which shouldn't need to be clarified but may have to......) Duncan Aeducan (son of the Warden and Mardy) or Endrin Aeducan (son of Rica and Bhelen) or even a yet to be identified gay Harrowmont heir.

By the way, for example dwarven noble families exist. Why human only? I suspect Orzammar's caste system would limit such marriages to surfacers. That might depend on who you made king, but they're usually pretty conservative, so there's a high probability a dwarven noble would have been stripped of their nobility (like Varric's family), if they decided to marry a non-dwarf.

But you know, I'll romance an elven deity or whatever, that's beyond a royal wedding when we get hitched. Literally gay ascension. Why not?

"BUT WOULD THE GAYS BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE DYSFUNCTION OF THE STRAIGHT ROMANCES???" Do you think the gay romances in Dragon Age are totally devoid of conflict and drama, man? Do you think gay relationships are devoid of conflict in real life? You should be happy to know, I love the gays. Some of my best friends are the gays.

It possible – but even with Behlen? And even if not count as noble has a strong connection to the ruler what can be good both of two country. With Harrowmont on the throne with lesser chance. But I'm not a dwarven politics expert, I admit. (I even was disappointed, why the Warden can't be ruler – instead of the conservative one or the gangster one...)

.....barring liking Scout Harding as a character, I kind of hope neither of the f/f options in the next game is a rogue. Four out of five seems a bit excessive already. Since I want Vaea, I’m going to have to disagree with you about this.

several LGBTQ posters here are admittedly no fans of organized religion, so having a partner that puts God above them might have different interactions. I don't think that's an issue for many people. Leliana is a hugely popular - if not the most popular - f/f romance in Dragon Age, and she's devoutly religious. So much so that she can die defending Andraste's Ashes from the Warden or live on to become the Thedosian Pope. In her romance, she talks about how the Maker led her to you. And many, many women wanted Cass, and many guys wanted Cullen, both of whom are quite religious. Aveline, Alistair, and Blackwall are not particularly religious, more culturally Andrastian than anything, and are still often cited as KISA or KISA-esque.

It most likely wouldn’t be seen as Ace by most people but instead merely a straight woman falling in love for the first time like for example Bastila or Tali.

I think they'd have to level Orzammar politics to not be dependent on our DAO choices. A marriage option that is only available, if you made Bhelen king (making the underground dwarves more open to progressive relationships) seems like too much of a hassle.

Ace romance or not, she could be only interested in men. Doesn't have to be f/f. It most likely wouldn’t be seen as Ace by most people but instead merely a straight woman falling in love for the first time like for example Bastila or Tali. I think that would depend on the writing? I don't see how making her available to both changes that... by that logic, many people would just read her as bisexual. But if she doesn't have a sexual path in her romance and explicitly describes herself as ace or demi (or seeing as they probably don't have those exact terms in Thedas, just describes her lack of sexual attraction in general, that she just "doesn't feel that way"), but still has romantic feelings for men, she could still be a m/f option and ace. She's pretty cool. Even though I waited until DAI came out to romance her.

KISA about having a noble ideal and being willing to die defending it. The person can have a religious calling like Cullen or Cassandra, or just feel a sort of noble obligation to uphold their moral ideals and defend the weak. For whatever reason, this character is always straight in Dragon Age... time to change that. (Also I don't like that vague inference that LGBT+ people aren't likely to be people of faith; that's not necessarily true, and I just don't like that stigma.)
