Was it really a concern after all the screenshots were showing how it looks in the game? 

Is it, though? Many gamers are not young anymore and that number will grow as society ages further and fewer children are born.
So I looked it up and technically the age group 18-34 is the biggest at 38%, so not children/teenagers. But yeah on the younger side, fair enough.

Don't think this focus group nonsense is paying off though. Granted, the internet is always skewed towards negativity but I haven't seen many people express positivity about the trailer anywhere I've looked, including younger people. Even here people are mostly disappointed and confused.
Chasing trends fails so often because by the time you finally release your ridiculously expensive AAA game, kid shave move don to something else. Wouldn't be surprised if most teenagers who watched this trailer thought it was lame. Boomers trying to look cool kinda embarrassing.

The success of BG3 is hopefully proof enough and influential enough to MAYBE get it across to some of those publisher cockroaches that there is a HUGE interest in nerdy games. And profit to be made. There is absolutely no need to make every damn game look the same, hoping to attract the same crowd to every game. Like, go ahead and keep making your soulless MP games for that MTX money you drool over. Fine. But why allow RPGs to me made and then advertise them as the same shit as all your other generic crap???

If those greedy publishers put their non live service game devs on such a leash and force them into the same tired old mold, see Anthem, just don't fucking bother. Just close them down and only publish your shitty MP games so I don't have to watch something like the Veilguard trailer ever again.
Let AA and indie studios make the interesting games. Serves everyone better.

He sounded so good. I'm obsessed. I miss a voiced protagonist after BG3's silent protagonist (my biggest complaint in the game given how much I love their Voice 3).

No, it’s just something that his historically happened in BioWare games, though less commonly recently. Actually I don’t think they’ve done it since DA2.
