Unless there was private session in Edmonton too.

I've been checking the system requirements from the 2024 releases and apparently, Assassins Creed Shadows is lower than expected. Do you think Dragon Age will follow something similar? Bioware hasn't been too demanding from low-end PCs so far. Minimum: OS: Windows 10 CPU: Intel i7-4790 | AMD Ryzen5 1600 Memory: 8 GB Storage: 100 GB Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6 GB | AMD RX 570 4 GB DirectX: DirectX 12 AC Shadows doesn't have official system requirements yet. The ones that exist (like on the Epic store page) are just placeholders and are copy-pasted from the requirements of older games like Valhalla from 4 years ago.
DAV is on Frostbite, so judging by past titles - should be a tad easier on CPU requirements. However I can't imagine the minimum being lower than an i5 8600/Ryzen 2600X, more likely a 8700 and a 3600X. As for the GPU - something with 8GB of VRAM is the most likely minimum, so we are looking at a GTX 1070 as a starting point. And the game will almost certainly require a SSD.

the Inquisitor?!?! wow they are really revealing everything, huh? I was spoiled about Hawke CC in DAI, and now Inquisitor in DATV The marking realise they have done a bad job. Now they try to show positive things. So that the fans watch the gameplay.
Marketing is throwing all but the kitchen sink at us. Still, I echo your "why". Then, again, a preset Quizzy face may not do, thus giving us the opportunity to "remake"..... However.... given the new art style, the new Quizzy won't reflect the old. The quizzy will look different anyhow.

For those more Discord-savvy, is there a way to filter it just see BioWare responses in their server? The channels, being vague large catch-alls, have waaaaay too much conversation going by way too fast by way too many people. A reason why I still vastly prefer forums. I agree. Don't like Discord and don't be their. So thank you for all the one filter the information out of it.

With Blackwall I had a dude that looked like my Dad However, myself being a person of a certain age (mid 50's), I don't take issue with the characters "senior" status. I am an older person myself so I do not have a problem with Emmerich from that PoV. However, he does look just like my Dad in that group shot sitting round the table, so now that is fixed in my mind he will have to remain a good friend not a romance because that would be weird.

Didn't know this but according to Xbox wire we will be up against a pair of corrupt ancient gods determined to destroy the world.. Baldy is one but who is the other? I think they're more hinting to Andruil and Ghilan'nain.
These two Evanuris, elven gods, have co-ruled their realms and were lovers.
It would be odd to pair Solas with any Evanuris, but pair these two makes perfect sense.
Now why would they destroy the world? Spite against Solas to not let him remake the world the way he wants, destroy his millennials long plans. They don't care about the elves, they're all revolting slave decedents as far as they care. They care even less about other races. Perhaps they think they can remake the world themselves, rule Thedas as co-queens while enslaving any survivors to do their biddings.
At least that's my speculation.
My bet is Elgarnan and Andruil. The voice at the end of Thedas Calling (was it the name?) really didn't sound Ghilannain-y. Also that mosaic with a moonhead and a beetlehead. Also fighting the chief evanuris sounds so badass.

You don't put up a roadmap of your marketing schedule to public out of panic.
It is very clear they knew this would happen and this was some sort of compromise they got with EA Marketing department.
It is possible trailer will target specific demographic that will hit positively, while relying on those who don't like the trailer won't be turned off, especially with gameplay reveal only 48 hours after the trailer.
A road map is one thing, crudely giving away bombshell info guaranteed to hype people up over Q&A following a poorly received trailer instead of waiting for a proper reveal in a gameplay trailer is alarm bell damage control. So, I don't think that's very clear at all that BioWare anticipated so much heat, but I'm also not looking to get into a disagreement about something so minor. /shrug Mark Darrah said in the comment to the video where he reacted to XBox show case: They they don't anticipated that much heat. They know heat was coming but it was more than they have thought.

Afterall Venetori are still around and trying to bring back the old days of Tevinter, meaning even the old gods might still be around( if they aren't Evanuris that is). So whoever we heard in DA Day trailer, might be someone from Venetori.

I found the word "rampaging" associated with "gods" pretty interesting. What kind of gods are those? "Blood for the blood god! Skulls for the skull throne! Let the galaxy burn!" Doesn't give me "elven" vibes exactly.

So do we know anything lore-wise about the Shadow Dragons other than they're mostly the Tevinter middle-class? Like goals? Composition etc? You could check out their short story on the Bioware site. They weren't actually called Shadow Dragons then but it is called Minrathous Shadows, so go figure. Their leader was the Viper in that and were definitely in opposition to the Venatori. Tevinter Nights had a underground group that was opposed to slavery and they appeared to have a rich benefactor who employed Lucanis anonymously to go after Venatori, so I think the Shadow Dragons probably developed from there. I imagine they are largely Soporati with a few Laetans mages, which is what I assume Neve is although we will find out more in game. They may also have Liberati, freed slaves who are not true citizens, so an underclass from those that are.

Who else has connected the dots on the name of the Qunari dragon hunter? Taash, as in Ataashi, qunari word for dragons... It might hint at her being Tal-Vashot if they are named for their positions or qualities in Qunari society. Unless things have really gone haywire and we can recruit a Qunari warrior for our cause

They have been doing the same to Assassins Creed Shadows, even comically going to Japanese version of trailer with auto-translated comments to Japanese, with bunch even admitting they aren't Japanese just wanted to appear they are genuine Japanese audience being offended.
Also this overwhelmingly negative reaction seems to be almost entirely on YouTube, everywhere else reaction is more mixed and polarized but nothing like on YouTube. Yes, even Twitter is more level headed, which is definitely unusual.

Press Release:
Bellara, a creative and romantic Veil Jumper obsessed with uncovering ancient secrets. Davrin, a bold and charming Grey Warden who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter. Emmrich, a necromancer of Nevarra's Mourn Watch who comes complete with a skeletal assistant, Manfred. Harding, the dwarven scout, returns to the fray as a companion with her big heart, a positive outlook, and a ready bow – as well as unexpected magical powers. Lucanis, a poised & pragmatic assassin who descends from the bloodline of the House of Crows, a criminal organization renowned throughout Thedas. Neve, a cynic fighting for a better future, both as a private detective and a member of Tevinter's rebellious Shadow Dragons.
Taash, a dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune who lives for adventure and doesn't mind taking risks.
I think Bellara is a good fit for my exploration bug. Uncovering ancient secrets is up my alley. Lucanis from a criminal organization is not. Sigh... I guess my classification is neutral-good. Neve seems to be a necessary companion while Taash.... I see her as only a tank. BTW, there is no way that Taash can jump that high(from trailer) in the game. There's something call gravity. Harding swill be an interesting char when she finds out about her magical talent.
Now... i want to hear BANTER...

So whoever we heard in DA Day trailer, might be someone from Venetori. If it's not one of the gods, then I hope it is the Black Divine because he has been portrayed as a ruthless political schemer and opportunist, so I wouldn't be surprised if he changed sides from the Imperial Chantry if it suited him to. Another alternative would be the Viper, the leader of the Shadow Dragons, who could be using their followers to advance their own power base.

That leads towards the Evanuris...although to be fair, given how the elven myth of the their gods are a distorted version of the reality, there's also the chance the Old Gods are the elven Forgotten Ones. But it'd be a big spoiler to reveal the OG's nature like that.

Lucanis from a criminal organization is not. I would advise not writing him off until you've met him. There is more to him than the label Crow would suggest. I would recommend reading Tevinter Nights if you want more. Suffice to say he would appear to have rejected his heritage and is now using his considerable skills for something other than indiscriminate assassination on behalf of the Crows. You can't choose where you start out in life but you can choose where you end up.

Me too! .. eh a modder that is. LOL DA:V will definitely contain Denuvo. ... for the 1st two weeks anyway. That's the critical window for the success of the game. The new release is supposed to be less of an overhead hog than previous releases. Fast net connection is preferred.
This new release can invisibly watermark you game footage. Oh, yes, you leak a pic or clip and you are identified....

That isn't nessassary. You only need to distracked them from the companion. Make a trailer where fighting is the highlight not the companions.
Show the enemies so straight male can hype over that. The woke people can only bash, if to little people like it.
Tomorrow's trailer should be it. But tomorrow will only be the fans and not new gamer. So a bit a miss.

Does "This Fall" refer to the autumn months of August, September and October or just the second half of the year in general? As in, does November still count as a Fall release? Fall is in termes of astronomic September - December.

Thanks for the links, all. For anyone wondering about source^ Ok. So. One would think any necessary decisions from the last game would be covered by the keep. But that post might just mean “get to choose if your inquisitor wants to stab solas” the way it’s worded. It could in theory mean you make your inquisitor Ala Hawke cameo, but I am gonna temper my excitement for now. I refuse to get my hopes up until we get more explicit info. Hopefully they fully showcase the CC tomorrow. Maybe for new player without keep world.
