Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but yesterday's QnA gave me an impression that BioWare has set release date, just waiting on right time to reveal it. Its the impression I got but which would be kind of...wild. That they haven't told us yet. Unless they really do want to give us a specific time window before it releases to announce the release date for internal reasons. Midn you they did also mention they were trying to implement a few last minute things (photo mode) as well. Well game was meant to be released in September 2023, so it would be shocking for game to get another significant delay.
As I said multiple times before, September is the best time for DAVG to be released, as October to December are packed. September only has Space Marines 2, completely different genre.

For purely selfish reasons, I hope for a September release. It would make my birthday present very easy for my family.

Just they should've done it if that was the case...IMO... What's in October? Well biggest release would be Call of Duty in October, even non-shooters had overshadowed by it. There's Silent Hill 2 remake, so there's gonna be huge nostalgia drive with it.
There's also New World: Aeternum, an action RPG coming from Amazon Games. Even if it's a bust, it is still a direct competition to DAVG.
Sonic X may sound silly to being up, but it is a massive franchise and something to avoid sharing the timeframe, like with CoD.
Also as I was checking it out, I forgot God of War Ragnarok is being released on PC in September. Considering DAVG took a lot of inspiration from GoW 2018, it is in a sense direct competition. But it's only on PC, while game has been out for years on PS5 and not at all on XBox. So PC sales might hurt, but consoles drive the bulk of sales anyway.

I wonder now with all the new hair options if I'll end up going crazy and picking something very hairy. Normally I'm pretty practical and picking ponytails or updos for my characters because I hate thinking they'll get their hair in their mouth during combat. xD

Isn't New World an MMO though? I don't see MMO's as competitors to Veilguard as they will draw a different crowd entirely.

Ironically, September is the least convenient time for me, because the Age of Mythology remake and a Crusader Kings 3 expansion are both coming out then. And I need time to upgrade my PC, which probably can't handle Veilguard as is. That's less than three months away, right? I feel they'd have already announced the release date if it was that soon. I have a semi-tradition of playing a big RPG over the holiday season, so Q4 is fine by me.

1. Do we know anything about advisors, or other NPCs who might be romanceable (Cullen, Josephine... Gil Brodie, Suvi, Reyes...)? I'm curious about this as well. I enjoyed Cullen's and Josephine's romance. I would like the main character to walk into a tavern, then make advances towards the bartender or barmaid. Maybe romance a character from another faction that you might encounter.
The Pink Rose! Where is this R&R establishment in Minrathous?

So uhm, I just realized something. I think we can all agree, whether we like it or not, that the character models and textures are different, right? We are to recreate our Inkys using the same character creator... will we even be able o make them look similar, or will I feel like I'm playing my character's cousin thrice removed's former roommate's housekeeper? I'm sure with time and skill you can get them to look similar-ish but I'm gonna say since they aged 10 years I won't try to make them look exactly the same anyway.
@quissbunny has a point. I like mine the way I remember. Besides, I have a pic of mine and she looks young now as she did 10 years ago. Re-creating her in DA4 may be impossible.... close perhaps but I don't have time to recreate the past.... it's the new game I'm interested in.

As i twouldn't hav ebeen like how October2022 was originally planned as that wa soriginally going t ohave Midnight Suns Forspoken and Gotham Knights launchin gal within a coupl eo fweeks an dalthough Gotham Knights met it's deadline both th eother gamesgot pushed back as Midnight Suns eventuallt ylaunched in December and Forspoken in January. You should all be happy, I'm never right with these things, so it increases the chance for an early release. xD

Do they have game that release in Q3-Q4?
If they have other game release but have some time gap, maybe that is for Veilguard.

You know what else is inconvenient in fights? The size of the shoulder pads some of these people wear on the regular. Those things would poke an eye out just by raising your arm. Let me have my flowing locks, I'm playing a fantasy game and I wanna look like the main character in a Chinese martial arts film. I'm done with buns in Bioware games.

I really like the addition of variable skin texture, to rpg CC's. I had Inquisitors who were of varying ages (late 20's to late 40's - yeah, yeah...I know they initially said 18-40 for DAI, but " I do wut I want!". I have yet to see a pore/fine line/broken blood vessels/rosacea/moles/age spots/irregular freckles/etc... Granted, some of those things did require a mod, but most were available in the base CC. This is just my tastes and preferences, but I really like "character" in face/skin textures. Having said that, I can still work with what we get. Just wishing things were a bit different. *shrug* I'd love it if we could paint moles or choose where exactly we want scars or at least certain tattoos.
Hm... Frankly I don't understand this obsession with ruining/uglifying one's face with scars, tattoos or whatever. I'm sure, though, that the CC will offer features and options to your heart's content. The more I read about it the greater the tale. LOL

I don't always use them, but what I do like about them is that it makes the character feel "lived", as if there were events that shaped them before you start playing. Flaws also help them feel more "real". That being said, I totally understand wanting to play a babe/hunk.

Just wishing things were a bit different. *shrug* Yeah, there was a sharpness and clarity to the textures and details in DAI that I appreciated, it made things pop. In the gameplay for DAV I feel like I'm looking at everything through a thin layer of fog, smoothing uneven details and reducing the sharpness of the finer ones. Makes me sometimes reach for my glasses or, if I'm already wearing glasses, check that the lenses are clean.
That's what puzzling. Unless all of this is part of the game's prologue. Still, it does look a bit punky. I can understand trying to make Minrathous a city full of magic and weirdness but I hope the remaining locations look "normal".
