I still haven't pre-ordered, but I was instead gifted the game for my birthday by a friend so... Can't decide if I'm in the club or not lol. In the club via a technicality is still in the club lol

Taash seems to be the forgotten companion in these here talks. She's been kept relative hidden, so far, by Bio.
Before all these "reveals", my thoughts were that this Q would be one of the most interesting characters. STEN, for example, was a breath of fresh air and so was the Arishok. Why? Well it was a refreshing outlook on life and society based on the Qun beliefs. They were driven by it. They were brainwashed by it. They lived by it. What a wonderful opportunity to meet another "strange" foreign character, I said to myself. To converse and get her to reveal more about Q culture. There's no indication at all that Taash follows the Qun, and we don't know if she ever has. I'd say that her belonging to the Lord of Fortune indicates that she's no Qunari in the religious sense, since they're unlikely to be doing another spy story right after Bull. (I think she's probably Tal-Vashoth since it would make sense to have one in the group after Qun-loyal Sten and Bull who can go either way, but there's always a chance she's Vashoth like an Adaar Inquisitor.)

kind of fun how multiple people in here are giving off sus vibes. Of course I can't say Harding is on the list really. Also add Davrin to the sus list. Wouldn't it be easier for you to say who isn't on your list? Expect the unexpected, trust no one, my friend, no one. (This is Bioware after all)

I only suspect Bellara right now, honestly. But wouldn't it be a little obvious, though? That's the part that gives me pause... 🤔
If I'm wrong about Bellara, sorry girl (blame BioWare!), it's nothing personal. I'll send you some flowers and like a gift basket and some scented candles.

I do agree that so far there's no indication of Taash following the Qun, or ever being following in the past, although she doesn't seem to really be a part of the LoF. By her updated bio, it seems more like she works with them and she's not technically part of the group, since she's 'allied' with them. Maybe because she can hunt treasures by working with them, and/or the LoF recruited/seeked her because of her expertise in dragon hunting.

I feel like if there's a traitor it almost has to be Harding because everyone else is too obvious. We're used to being betrayed by Mages, everyone's going to be suspicious of the elves because of Solas and the Evanuris, and they just did the Qunari betraying us last game. That just leaves Lucanis and Harding and Lucanis turning on us would probably feel too much like the Zevran betrayal route in Origins for them to want to go there again.
So my prediction is that there's no traitor(s) this time. That or we're doing a wild twist on the formula and it's possible for Rook to betray everyone else. (I would love that. Wouldn't do it first time around but I'd definitely make a character who'd go for it at some point ...)

Betray us to whom though? "I'd love to live in a world overrun by many small darkspawn and two big ones"? Then again... "But they promised me my own little sh*thole to lord over!"

Rook (potentially) being the traitor is what I’m highest on currently, but if Harding really is re-connecting with a titan, she shoots way up the list of suspicious characters. After all, dwarves were essentially hive mind workers for titans at some point, and titans are so enigmatic so far that I could see her betraying us to serve their own interests, whatever that may be. (Also this is minor copium on my part, probably, on my hands and knees every day praying for more cool stuff with dwarves. BioWare please.)

While it's possible that they'll release some more news later today, the time when they started posting the last few days. I really don't get their marketing campaign sometimes. It's fine to not post everything each day, but the amount of information and details they shared so far is quite lackluster, while also giving the impression that they'd post each day by diving something that could've been shared in one day. At least we'd get the podcast tomorrow, but given that the Q&A is on Friday, there are good chances we won't see anything more in-game...unless they'll do the same thing of last week and release something in the weekend. I would like to tell them that there marketing isn't effective and very confusing. I think it has hurt more than it has helped. And at the moment they are to closed up. Only marketing on their platforms. At the moment only ME or DA fans are on it. They will need more than the fandom.

Betray us to whom though? "I'd love to live in a world overrun by many small darkspawn and two big ones"? Then again... "But they promised me my own little sh*thole to lord over!" Kind of the point of the franchise, or at least a long running theme. Despite the dangers of Red Lyrium/ the Blight we see people continue to make weapons out of the stuff or use it because they know better...and that level of power gives them the ability to shape the world to their will and perhaps reset it to their own desires. The Evanuris. The Magisters Sidereal. The Venatori. On and on it goes. ANd this does not just apply to that either we also have regular Lyrium being quite known for its abuse and yet the Templars take it to serve the greater good and give them defense against magic, Blood magic in order for desperate mages to have a defense against Templars. ANd on it goes.

Betray us to whom though? "I'd love to live in a world overrun by many small darkspawn and two big ones"? Not betray us to the initial big baddies but once they are dealt with. That opens up the field considerably: Morrigan, Solas, the Inquisitor (if they drank from the Well or side with Solas), Harding on behalf of the Titans, Bellara or Strife on behalf of the Executors, with Rook having the option to sell everyone out to become their mighty overlord or something similar. There will be a twist in the tail somewhere.

I can understand not doing it in europe (i don't see this advertising in my youtube). But they need to advertise outside america. But at least it is better than nothing.

I believe Bio is very much aware of how to target the right gamer demographic. The studio designed the game to play well on low end PCs on top of the PS5 & Microsoft hardware. From a hdw point of view, they've expanded and therefore increased potential sales.
Marketing is key, of course and the awareness of DA4 must be pushed out. Bio may start the marketing campaign in earnest shortly... ahem.. soon.

Betray us to whom though? "I'd love to live in a world overrun by many small darkspawn and two big ones"? Then again... "But they promised me my own little sh*thole to lord over!" None of the characters considered the "betrayer" in the previous games did it for someone else. They were the betrayer because they had their own personal agenda and used you to get it. In DAO, the betrayer is Morrigan...who wants power for herself and manipulates you to get it. Note here that the betrayal is different if you accept or refuse the deal, but she always leave without telling you anything. She's also the most forward about it, probably why many don't consider her a betrayer. In DA2, the betrayer is Anders...who used you to commit terrorism and start a global war, because he decided all mages had enough. In DAI, the betrayer is Solas...who wants to destroy the world as we know it to go back to the version he also destroyed. He hangs out with the Inquisition to get back the mean to do it after he gave it away to the Big Bad because his can opener was busted and then just " let me corrupt your organisation and start a war with the Qun" for giggles. All 3 games also have a conditional betrayal based on relationship level (Zevran, Isabella and The Iron Bull), two of them are just siding with their original organisation and Isabella is a pirate... In DAI, everyone is a member of an organisation, so I'm guessing relationship level betrayal might be a thing. But we do not have any apostate in the party...we do have Morrigan and Solas making a return thought.
