yeah now that he mentions it I seem to recall a moment where it showed 12 arrows. We've even seen 22 in an IGN video. Well that's a bit more then 12.

I don't mind delays if they lead to a more polished game. Having said that, while I'm fine with polishing up a game, I'm strongly against gaming companies changing their artistic vision to please fans. Careful, that could anger certain people who feel that the devs should cater to the fans. Though which fans they're talking about is a mystery. If there is one constant with gaming fans, it's the classic "Listen to us, not them!" theme. I'm guilty of wanting certain content myself, but I still wouldn't want their artistic vision to be changed. I think Dragon Age has so far been quite tempered in this regard, fortunately. There have been some concessions to fans, but it's been nothing egregious (I disagree with Cullen being romanceable by mage Inquisitors, but that's a minor quibble).

I try very hard not to speak to anything that wasn't at least shown in something we've released publicly... but yes there are big axes too. My favorite Warrior build uses a very specific 2H axe!

Saboteur - Set the stage. Deploy explosives and turrets that devastate enemies, then pick them off with arrows. I wonder if the Saboteur's Turret will be anything like the unused Turret in Inquisition. A bit heavy on the camera-shake, but it had a satisfying sound to it. Oliver's two most agonizing decisions, who to romance and what specialization to go for. Still it is a bit of a fascinating thing to consider because of those of us who have been paying attention to such things apparently there is only one ability and one ultimate per specialization. So that does seem like quite a lot for only a single ability to handle and...well the ultimate really didn't seem like it would be turret ready but then given what they apparently had cooking in Inquisition at one point does make me wonder about that now. From there though we get the interesting idea of how much of this could be handled by the passives and button prompt combo thingies. Deploying grenades when you dodge? Being able to 'affix' traps to the end of your arrows and show them at the ground in order to set up ambushes and stuff? And then of course passives which could change damage and what not. Actually speaking of which I do realize something to, with the people who have been counting things, as they have pointed out we have 13 active abilities in the game...and does that include the ones in the specializations? So if evreything stays equal we have 10 in the core tree and 3 in the specs right? WHich would just give us access to...eleven at any one time. Interesting to keep in mind. Yeah I'm with you here. Like I have had my desires about the game like everyone and about ten years to fantasize how I want it to look from a gameplay and story perspective but I also know that I am A. have a pretty amateurish perspective of game design and B. even still am on the outside looking in, so I have no idea what technical stuff BioWare is dealing with that would prevent them from enacting my vision. Like I've said I've hated how they have done stealth in the previous games so I really would have preffered them to adopt the system from Assassins Creed or Horizon. But they did not do so, so it seems, and I am fine with it because I just do not know the challenges in facing such a system so...even the things I don't like seems fairly easy to make peace with. Granted I am a little worried about how easy I will find this game without my precious barrier and guard.

I'm glad about the variety of weapons that seems to be present.
I hope there'll be more robust warhammers then the one shown in the companion video, as it's the kind of weapon I'd love to use for a possible dwarf warrior Rook.

I'm bringing the leaked alpha build screenshots from years ago because I just noticed one little thing. Could be scrapped in the final build though. All (I believe) companions were present in the mission and we didn't even noticed.

Okay, I'm still no wiser really. It seems that it may be just they decided to go full on Crow when it came to the description and labeling of abilities. There was a node on the basic tree that was marked Antivan Crow, so I don't know what significance that has. Perhaps it gives access to certain abilities that you only acquire if that is your faction, even though it just seemed to relate to general rogue skills. The trouble is they only revealed selective information and so we are going to be in the dark until they decide to reveal more. I think the labeling is that we know, that this are skills the crows use. So we aren't a crow, but we use their skills. I don't think it has anythink to do with your faction.

All (I believe) companions were present in the mission and we didn't even noticed. May add context to something I just noticed in one of the gameplay vids. Apparently you can access your companions 'exploration abilities' through the Lyrium Dagger. Convenient way to maybe solve one issue but could be annoying.
Other words though it might be an...after effect...of this idea. That maybe they were planning on having you bring out the entire party in the field but only have two of them active ala Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Or this could be a one time story beat.

Not sure if this has been posted before, just a heads-up for those who want to avoid spoilers - some people who got to play the Veilguard early said they're going to post major spoilers once the embargo is lifted on Sep 19. I for one will be forced to stay of social media, curiosity be damned! Apparently people gave Kala abuse and she's now deactivated her Twitter. This people are insane. She only try to help. I can't believe that people are like they are at the moment.

Let me propose a hypothetical to you all. Let's say the result of this presser event ends up leading to a lot of negativity surrounding certain features of the game (ex. Animation quality). As a result, BioWare decides to delay the game for 4-5 months for additional polishing. How would you feel? (Again, it's a hypothetical. I very much think this scenario is unlikely to happen btw). "Looks like I'm playing the new Life is Strange *before* DATV instead of months later"

I saw her have a couple of mini meltdowns on Twitter those past months. She should do her Youtube video, disable comments, and buy herself some peace of mind but I'm cynical and I imagine she'll be back in a week, get overwhelmed again rince/repeat. Don't wanna throw too much stone, cos I easily foam at the mouth myself but not everyone is build to deal with semi popularity on those platforms.

I wonder if the Saboteur's Turret will be anything like the unused Turret in Inquisition. A bit heavy on the camera-shake, but it had a satisfying sound to it. What is this? Please show spell name. I don't remember this spell from Multi.

Well, you say this, but it's not a controversial thing to say that places like Twitter have gotten a lot worse in past years. Twitter was always a tricky platform to communicate on because of its word limit, but today it's easier than ever to be dogpiled for the smallest thing; for whatever reason people choose to pick on the tiniest slips, or choose the least charitable interpretation of one's post, to a point where it became a massive meme.

We've even seen 22 in an IGN video. Well that's a bit more then 12. I still haven't found the video showing veil ranger combat or the 22 count of arrows. I was the one who asked about ranged combat in the discord though. It seems weird to me to force arrow count on full ranger spec rogues after having 3 games of unlimited arrows (unless using the special ones in Origins). I'll see if I can find the ranger video in a bit if I have time.
ETA: I did find the video that shows that 22/22, but that ranger is also a dagger build. So, still waiting to see some actual ranger gameplay with actual ranged combat.

Yes it served a need, especially in Inquisition when you had no backups, but now they've figured out how to make combat fluid. Besides 22 arrows from what we have seem should be enough to handle most singular engagements from there it's just a matter of how fast they recharge for the next one.
