You are always finding even tiniest inconveniences to justify you not pre-ordering the game lol. As for puzzles, what puzzles? You mean the one in the Hinterlands? That's a pretty minor one unrelated to the main story.
Minor to you but a F*******g headache to me. I spent over an hr then quit. Only to find out later there was a bug and a patch had to be applied.... The puzzle is the one where your team had to stand on a plate. Unfortunately, because of the bug, they kept moving around.
And, I did preorder DAI, btw... only to find out the mages were castrated with noauto attack, which I loved in DA2. No auto attack no playing the melee class.... as I am horrible without it. Now of course I wait to see what else Bio has in store for me with DA4.
So you see , everyone has a valid reason (to them) why they like/dislike something.... besides, three mo down the road there will be mods, corrective patches and guides to help me along... I see nothing wrong with that.
Huh? I think I remembered encountering a bug with the Temple of Mythal tile puzzle. It took me about 5 minutes to realize it's not working so I reloaded the game and then it worked as intended. It's so deep down the main story so I was very focused with the story to even regret about preordering the game. I'm very very patient with simple bugs like these because I have encountered big headaches like games crashing at loading or in the middle of the it. As far as Bio goes, their games are well optimized. I have never encountered game breaking bugs in any of their titles, except for minuscule things that could easily be resolved with a simple reload.

It took several Bioware several weeks to come up with a work-around, and even longer to issue a functional patch.

But then I was a really really young kid who didn't even know Dragon Age was going to be a passion for life Did they fix that bug on pc? I have never encountered game breaking bugs in any of their titles, except for minuscule things that could easily be resolved with a simple reload. There was a bug on the DLC for DA2 the Exiled Prince and that occurred after a patch/update for the game as a whole because it was working for me and then suddenly it wasn't. It meant I ran into a full stop when I went to meet Leliana at the Viscount's Palace and it got stuck after the initial fight. I tried pressing escape but it didn't help, re-loading and trying the sequence again but it just kept stalling at that point. Boy, was that annoying but at least I did get one play through with it working okay before it fouled up. Then I just avoided that quest on subsequent runs. Then there was a bug on DAI initially concerning Dorian and his approval. For some reason when it should have gone up, it went down, so his personal quest wasn't triggering. Luckily they sorted that one out fairly quickly once they had identified the problem. Obviously it didn't stop me playing the game altogether but it was annoying. Still, I'll grant that there haven't been too many major issues with Dragon Age games up to now that have affected me (I take my time so may be patches were issued before I got to the places where they occurred), so I'm hoping it will be the same with Veilguard.

Same here but I came to Dragon Age after it had already been out around a year, I think, and so any patches had likely already been applied when I loaded up both the main game and Awakening, that had also been out a few months by the time I started playing it.

I remember being bothered by something when you have to meet the Mother.

Did they fix that bug on pc? I recall having to download a mod to be able to get the game to work. As I recall, you did not need a mod to avoid the crash, I only needed to remove my equipment before entering the cave (hazy memory). I imagine that a good patch was eventually released.

I don't have time for puzzles. Had a hard time with one in DAI. Only to find out DAI needed a patch to fix it. Another reason not to pre-order !!!
EDIT: If this game is truly offline, how will Bio communicate to players about upcoming patches??? You are always finding even tiniest inconveniences to justify you not pre-ordering the game lol. As for puzzles, what puzzles? You mean the one in the Hinterlands? That's a pretty minor one unrelated to the main story. There was also the puzzle at the well of sorrows. Hard to believe puzzles are a deal breaker especially since they've been around RPGs for a long time. In fact it's practically a staple to have puzzles and scavenger hunts in RPGs.

In fact it's practically a staple to have puzzles and scavenger hunts in RPGs. Older games were full of them, including Bioware ones. Maybe they really should have kept the tower of Hanoi in every one of their games. People seems to remember that one, but not the other puzzles and riddles... There was the puzzle moving tiles relating to Kitty in the Stone Prisoner quest in DAO but the chief one related to the actual main game was that one in the Gauntlet. It wasn't all that difficult to figure out but you had to be careful to tell people to stand still where you told them. Then there was the one in Legacy relating to unlocking parts of Corypheus' prison. Again, I knew what needed doing but it was a bit fiddly. I seem to recall there was also a lot of running back and forwards to the areas that were unlocked before changing the pillars again to unlock a different one. I never managed the one in Ghilan'nain's Grove in DAI because my companions kept on moving when I told them to stay put and in the end I decided it wasn't worth the aggro. The tiles in the Temple of Mythal annoyed me because I couldn't figure out how the final one worked. So, I checked the internet and discovered that basically you had to cheat by climbing on the wall and running along it. Well, if I'd known you could cheat I'd have figured it out on my own. I thought you had to stay on the ground at all times. Silly me! So, I'm okay with puzzles provided they don't pull a trick like that on me. Since we can't control the companions I assume there won't be any that require me to place them strategically to solve it.

Still don’t know why I’m ordering two Deluxes (one for the Series X, another for PC), those armors are hideous. It’s like, self-bamboozlement. 🧐 Some of the weapons are okay, though. That a staff or a “wand”/scepter like Neve’s? Someone on steam give away DA:TV keys. So you aren't the only one that has to much money.

BioWare @biowareBioWare is saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Renaday, the talented voice actor behind one Dragon Age’s favorite Grey Wardens, Duncan. His performance in DA: Origins brought life to his character, and his passing has left an impact on our community. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
