Some interesting information about what will be covered after the embargo lifts on the 19th.
Contrary to what it seemed before, a good part of the hands-on is going to still be covered by NDA.
The fact that what they are able to share from the hands-on is all from early game (act 1) helps my spoiler anxiety A LOT.
Thanks for sharing!
One day, the magic will come back. All of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part, and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see. -Sandal Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a world to save. Again. -Inquisitor

I seem to recall those who were invited to play and feedback to Bioware were saying some time ago that they were only able to play to the end of Act 1, so whilst there might be some lore spoilers (confirmations?) there and we're already seeing a few companion spoilers when it comes to our early relationship with them, I'm thinking that overall probably there is a lot they didn't see so far as the main narrative is concerned or even our interactions with various people, whether companions or not. I suspecting (or at least am hoping) that there is a great deal more to be uncovered, particularly with respect to Minrathous, even more than other locations, whether talking about the current political situation or its relation to ancient history. So, hopefully, when we start to play the game and really get deep into it, we will discover how little their various testers actually saw of it and could therefore spoil with their reviews.
I would appreciate knowing if they played it on PC and what build they were using. I've sourced a reasonably priced rig to purchase but am holding off doing so because the last thing I want is to make my purchase and then read a review that says it doesn't run well on X or you would be better off with Y. I know what Bioware have stated are the minimum and recommended system requirements but that covers a huge range of what is available to me, so here's hoping for some clarity from the 19th onwards.

Is act 1 7 hours long?

No, they just played for 7 hours. That doesn't mean Act one is 7 hours.

Hm...
This game is so chatty. I can see the team sitting comfortably near a warm fireplace for hours on end. Part of the seven is the tutorial. New players can't be thrown in the "main" portion of the game without some familiarity. And, the CC, in imo, is part of the seven..... the smart ones fiddled with the CC for 20-30 mins, then picked a pre-made Rook and went on with it.
Be ready to hear and see a re-regurgitation of the first Bio game demo. This time from a new and "awkward" player perspective. Great stuff... I see myself in those first hours. My question is which class did they play? Melee? Rogue? or Mage? I'm interested only in the ranged class. Hopefully, there will be something for us ranged players.

I'm hoping we will be shown a bit more detail of the node screen. Whilst this may have been restricted up to now because it contains spoilers if they show too much of companion screens, I don't recall any evidence of blocked off paths on Rook's progression screen so surely it would be okay to let us see a bit more of that for each class.
Also more detail on the specialisms. We have seen a small amount of Warrior Champion and Rogue Duelist but I think that is all. The daft part is that these two specialisms have featured before in the games, even if they have been revamped for DAV. What I want to know is what the new specialisms bring to the table. Saboteur is likely similar to Artificer in DAI and Death Caller to Necromancer but it would be nice to have some confirmation of this. However is Slayer really similar to Berserker and Reaper to Reaver? Evoker is pretty straight forward but what exactly does Spell Blade offer other than being another form of melee mage and is Veil Ranger simply a Marksman (formerly only available to Varric) with Lightning? Or is it more like Royal Archer, a combination of archer and shadow previously only available to Sebastian? I don't see why they would be so scant on information on these aspects of the game as I really don't see how it could involve any spoilers.
