I had a thought that Skyhold might prove to be a crucial location in the quest to stop Solas, as it is strongly implied to be where he erected the Veil. You know, the place where they held up the sky.

Eric Anderson @ericander94Not sure if this question is taboo... but I’m curious—what happens to Skyhold after Trespasser? Does the Inquisitor rent it out as an air bnd? Is it abandoned and now a squatter’s paradise? Or is it a Thedas tourist attraction/museum kind of situation? Patrick Weekes @patrickweekesHopefully this is something we will get to address in the future. We go back to Skyhold and the Inquisitor walks the PC to the war room. Your character looks up as they pass through the hallway, and the player can see the hole in the wall there has finally been fixed. Roll credits. All I’ve ever wanted.

The Inquisitor with the awesome new prosthetic hand, maybe? That would qualify as a person with a thing who also wears a shirt. Let me dream. Given the middle to high medieval setting, the ex-Inquisitor may adopt the nom de guerre of Captain Hook.

Alternatively it may be justified as "not a bug, it's a feature"! It could also be justified as an integral part of Skyhold's air conditioning system. (Maybe I should stop putting ideas into people's heads.)

Unless there are nooks and crannies Inquisition never had an occasion to investigate (which is quite possible) it's probably been either destroyed or pillaged over the long period during which Skyhold changed hands (and shape... let's not forget current Skyhold is not what it was at times of ancient elves) multiple times.

Well, Morrigan took hers with her. I think? I don’t remember. It might be interesting if there’s some hidden chamber beneath the current fortress. I’d gladly revisit the fort briefly with an Eluvian trip. I’m curious what would happen if you disbanded the Inquisition. Would it just be flat out abandoned or would Divine Victoria organize a garrison of Seekers or something?

Would it just be flat out abandoned or would Divine Victoria organize a garrison of Seekers or something? I don't think she did. At least at the end of Inquisition she didn't. Who knows whether it stayed there or not - we definitely don't see Morrigan carry it on her back as she leaves Skyhold on her epilogue cards It may be that she lent her eluvian to Inquisition or it was transported out as a favor to a location of her choice sometime after Corypheus was dealt with or way later. And I'd be surprised if there weren't some secret chambers - some maybe even half in a different dimension or carved in the mountain itself. We still don't know what's the source of all the water spilling on both sides of the fortress. Those are some sizeable waterfalls that couldn't have possibly formed out of snow thawing on the rooftops - besides, one of the waterfalls is definitely flowing from underneath Skyhold and is responsible for pushing out a huge, stone wall and damaging a good chunk of the keep's prison. Unless we're talking table mountains waterfalls simply don't form on mountaintops, so there has to be some sort of process there happening that is far from regular laws of physics.

Sometimes I think I'm the only Dragon Age fan who does not give one solitary fuck about that hole in the wall. It's not a hole it's a picture window. You just have to imagine the window. What really annoys me is that they won't let you jump out of it, nor can you use it for defenestrations when you sit in judgement.

I wanted to show my love by voting for Inquisition because Dragon Age is definitely my favourite BioWare series ... but I went with the honest answer, which is still Baldur's Gate 2 after all these years.

I can’t believe they actually put the mobile games on the poll. Lol
And I picked ME 3. I love both series but I still love Shepard most. And while I hate the endings, the crew/li interaction in that game was my favorite. ME2 is right after it, though. Hard to beat the suicide mission and the culmination of everything in the game leading up to it and actually mattering. Depending on how DA4 goes, it or Inquisition could take one of those spots, though.

not to spread misinfo because we just dont know yet, and not being alarmist; and yea I know DAI had separate non-mandatory MP that didnt detract resources from SP; and yup I know live elements/post launch stuff doesnt automatically mean an mmo/anthem-style post launch shared world support (and so forth) - but boy, gosh, do I everrrr still wish BW would stop saying "Dragon Age 4" and "multiplayer" in the same sentence lolol

Anyone who knows me knows my answer to this question. Little surprised that ME 2 did THAT well. Yeah... wasn't expecting to see that much ME2 love. Kotor too, to a lesser extent. Where's the DA love?? I deliberated a bit and almost voted for Origins before switching to ME2. I vastly prefer the story and characters of Dragon Age, but tbh I feel like Mass Effect is the better video game (Subtly distinct from being the better story). The gameplay's always been more fun for me and the identity of the series is way more consistent, whereas it feels like Dragon Age kind of reinvents itself with new iteration. Outside of its strong character-focus, it doesn't really have a defining feature that's been continuous throughout the games - the first game was a tactical RPG, the second was an ARPG, the third is open-world... Hell, inconsistency is the most consistent thing about it.
Not that experimentation is necessarily a bad thing, but it leaves me going "Okay, what is the next Dragon Age about and am I going to like it?" I remember waaaaay back when DA2 was announced and they said it'd be a new protagonist with all new-companions... and my interest in the game plummeted. The world is interesting enough but it's the characters that keep me coming back, so every new Dragon Age game has to win me all over again. I'd probably be paying way less attention to DA4 if I weren't desperate to know what's up with Solas and the Inquisitor.

If the Bioware team keep to a similar implementation, I would have no problem with that. The cooperative approach worked well, and I see it is still going strong.
