In DAO, the betrayer is Morrigan...who wants power for herself and manipulates you to get it. Note here that the betrayal is different if you accept or refuse the deal, but she always leave without telling you anything. She's also the most forward about it, probably why many don't consider her a betrayer. In DA2, the betrayer is Anders...who used you to commit terrorism and start a global war, because he decided all mages had enough. In DAI, the betrayer is Solas...who wants to destroy the world as we know it to go back to the version he also destroyed. He hangs out with the Inquisition to get back the mean to do it after he gave it away to the Big Bad because his can opener was busted and then just " let me corrupt your organisation and start a war with the Qun" for giggles. Me in DAO: You won't abandon me, Morrigan. Our love is eternal. I won't do your dark ritual because I will change you and....waaaaait, where are you going...Oh, damn, I am so dead...
Me in DA2: Oh, sounds like we are making a bomb...Yup, we are totally gathering stuff for a bomb...And now we are planting the bomb...Oh, look - a bomb...
Me in DAI: Oh, Boring-Elf-I-PermaBooted-From-Group-First-Chance-I-Got has an extra cutscene at the end of the game...

About to make off with the biggest score of my life 0:52 And what's standing in my way but twenty-nine bloodthirsty, flesh-hungry Cue-nari? 0:59 PATRON 4: Oh no! As fierce as dragons but smart too. 1:10 And should you ever find yourself standing across from one, just remember, absolutely, 1:15 do not look them in the eyes. To them, there's no greater disrespect. 1:21 PATRON 6: I will never. Do not look them in the eyes. So I find the biggest fucker and get nose to nose with him, 1:27 eyes locked. I hold up my fists and say, "Which hand do you want me to kill you with?" 1:34 (CROWD GOING NUTS) PATRON 7: You're a mad man! PATRON 8: Come on, then! What happened next? (COINS JINGLING) Come back tomorrow and come 1:59 back with coin, for a good story don't come cheap. I bled to bring you these tales. 2:06 The least you can do is pay accordingly. Fear not, once the bag is full, 2:13 I won't spare a single gruesome detail. (DRUNKEN HEMMING AND HAWING) 2:20 (HEAVY FOOTSTEPS, SLAMMING DOOR) (MUSIC) 2:26 SINGER: Compel to forge on. What will we become? 2:37 (CLOCK TICKING) OLEN: (Singing) Oh, Grey Warden, what have you done? 2:45 (DOOR OPENING, KEYS BEING PLACED ON TABLE) (WHISTLING, COIN PURSE BEING SET DOWN) 2:52 Bless the maker, that wind has got a bite to it tonight. 2:57 (FIRE BEING LIT, ROARING) That's better. 3:03 NADIA CARCOSA: There he is. The man with a plan. OLEN: Nadia 3:09 NADIA: Olen. OLEN: What are you doing here? Did anyone see you come in? 3:14 (DOOR SLAMMING) NADIA: I came to have a quick drink with my trusted friend. OLEN: Don't you know that every templar, guard, warden, 3:21 and bounty hunter, this side of Thedas is looking for the now notorious Nadia Carcosa? 3:26 NADIA: Hey, I said a quick drink. (CORK POPPING) OLEN: There's no time for that. And I'm plenty drunk as is. 3:33 You gotta get out of here. I damn near thought I was being followed home. 3:38 NADIA: You set that job up. Now I want to have a drink. So we are going to have a drink. 3:45 (BOTTLE SLAMMING ON TABLE) OLEN: Alright then. One drink. And then you're gone 3:53 NADIA: (Clearing throat) To Elio. 3:58 OLEN: Look, Nadia. I had no idea the job would go down like that. NADIA: Shh, shh, shh. Go on, drink up. 4:05 (GULPING DOWN DRINK) There you go. That's the spirit. Now I'm gonna need some answers. 4:14 OLEN: (Coughing) I don't have any answers. I already told you I was sorry. NADIA: Actually you didn't, but that's okay, 4:20 we'll get to sorry here shortly. OLEN: Nadia, you have to leave. I can't risk having you here. 4:27 NADIA: Oh, but if I leave, how will you ever get the antidote? OLEN: (Coughing) What antidote? 4:33 What are you talking about? NADIA: Do you really think that was an Orlesian ale you just sipped? Give it a moment. 4:40 You should feel a tickle in the back of your throat. (OLEN WHEEZING, GLASS DROPPING) There you go. Now it's working. 4:50 Next you'll feel your lungs getting tighter. Then you'll pray for air. But for now, we can talk. 5:00 OLEN: I don't know anything. NADIA: Hm. Well that's what we need to find out. 5:05 Now, let's start from the beginning. (TICKING CLOCK INTENSIFIES) 5:15 NARRATOR: This is Dragon Age: Vows & Vengeance Chapter One: Once A Thief... 5:23 (BIRDS CHIRPING) ELIO: Wake up. Nadia, 5:32 it's me. Good morning. You with me now? 5:37 NADIA: (Sighing) I'm always with you. ELIO: Good. Get dressed. I have a surprise for you. (FOOTSTEPS) NADIA: Mmm, I do love surprises. 5:45 ELIO: I'll be out by the table. NADIA: Wait, wait. ELIO: What? NADIA: Come here so I can kiss you first. 5:51 (FOOTSTEPS) ELIO: With pleasure. (Nadia laughing) (Nadia and Elio kiss) 5:58 ELIO: Take your time. I'll meet you in the dining chamber. (FOOTSTEPS, DOOR CLOSING) 6:07 (MUSIC) (FIRE ROARING, THROAT CLEARING) 6:12 (PLATES AND SILVERWARE CLANKING) (FOOTSTEPS) NADIA: What is all this? 6:19 Are we having breakfast or a banquet? ELIO: I wanted us to celebrate a special day. 6:25 NADIA: Those flowers are beautiful. What are they? ELIO: Andraste's Grace. I thought they'd be, I dunno. Poetic. 6:32 NADIA: You are so sappy. But I love it. ELIO: You mean everything to me. 6:38 NADIA: Okay, okay. Just tell me what are we celebrating? 6:46 ELIO: You. NADIA: Me? ELIO: Yeah. I thought we'd commemorate your birthday. 6:52 Real proper like. NADIA: Elio, I told you I don't know when my birthday is 6:57 ELIO: Exactly. So I figured it can be any day. We'll just pick today. NADIA: Elio. 7:03 ELIO: Wait. Before you say anything, let me give you a present. 7:09 Here, open it. (BOX OPENING) NADIA: What is this? 7:14 ELIO: What does it look like? NADIA: Why would you give me this? ELIO: Generally speaking, there is 7:20 but one use for such a thing. (Nadia sighing) ELIO: Come on. It's perfect. 7:25 What better way to honor your new birthday than with the start of a new life? (Nadia sighing) 7:32 NADIA: Why can't you just leave things be? You always have to push! (FOOTSTEPS) 7:37 ELIO: Nadia! Nadia! Keep playing. I'll be back. 7:43 (FOOTSTEPS) Nadia. Nadia! Let's discuss this. 7:48 NADIA: Discuss this insane wedding ring that you gave me. ELIO: This ring is not insane. It was my great-grandmother's. 7:55 NADIA: Elio! ELIO: What? NADIA: That's even crazier. I can't wear this. ELIO: Why not? 8:01 NADIA: Look, I love you. I really do. But we cannot be that kind of couple! (DOOR SLAM) 8:08 ELIO: Nadia, I'm tired of this being a secret. It's time to bring us into the light. 8:13 NADIA: Elio, I am a Liberati. You are a mage. And not just any mage! You are part of the Magisterium. 8:21 This is already a recipe for disaster! ELIO: Whoa. Why are you getting mad? NADIA: Because! I adore what we have 8:28 and I don't understand why that can't be enough. ELIO: Because you make me want so much more! 8:33 Why can't you see that? NADIA: You may be used to getting everything you want 8:40 but people like me have to live in a world filled with walls and ceilings and dead ends. 8:46 ELIO: Nadia- NADIA: No, don't Nadia me. You always think everything is fine, 8:52 that it'll all work out, no problem, no big deal. You'll, you'll sign some papers here, make a decree over there. 8:59 But I am the one who will have to live with their stares and whispers. I don't fit into that part of your world. 9:06 And if you really loved me, you would understand that putting this ring on my finger is like 9:12 putting a target on my back. ELIO: It doesn't have to be like that. NADIA: It is like that! 9:18 You can't just wave your title around and make everything okay and make up fucking birthdays and throw flowers on the ground. 9:26 I know what I am. I am a nothing in this world and I'm okay with that. 9:32 But I thought maybe just, maybe I could be something special to you and only you, but no. 9:41 No, that wasn't good enough. You just had to push. ELIO: Hey, hey, hey. Come here. NADIA: No, no. Get off me. 9:47 ELIO: Nadia. NADIA:No! ELIO: (Sighing) I'm sorry. 9:53 Okay? I'm, I'm sorry. What else do you want me to say? 10:00 NADIA: You know what? Look, I need some air. Nadia. Nadia! 10:05 (DOOR SLAM) Shit. (SEAGULLS, SHIP BELLS RINGING) 10:16 FISHMONGER: Fresh oysters. Fresh clams. Catch of the day right here. 10:21 NADIA: What's the daily deal? FISHMONGER: Oh, I got a special on pickled krone and rum. 10:27 NADIA: It sounds disgusting. I'll take two. (COINS JINGLING) FISHMONGER: Oh, here you go. 10:34 NADIA: Thanks Joren. FISHMONGER: Oh! Hey, by the way, you should know I saw some surly looking drag with a dead eye nosing about your 10:41 houseboat this morning. NADIA: Hmm. Thanks for the heads up. 10:47 FISHMONGER: You got it. (MUSIC) (FOOTSTEPS, CLIMBING INTO HOUSEBOAT) 11:02 NADIA: Ugh. Ick! These pickled krone smell like last week's special. 11:09 (Sighing) Elio. Elio, what am I gonna do with you? 11:18 VIK: Been waiting for you all Morning. NADIA: So I gathered from Joren's description. 11:24 VIK: Olen says he needs to see you. NADIA: Too bad for Olen. VIK: He says you owe him one. 11:30 NADIA: I owe him shit. VIK: Fancy ring you got there. Maybe I'll just take that 11:36 and see if it clears your debt. NADIA: You touch this ring and I'll pull your guts out like I'm threading a loom. 11:42 (Laughter) NADIA: What's the call, Vik? VIK: Just a job. 11:48 NADIA: You know I'm out. VIK: (Sighing) We know. But this one is special circumstances. NADIA: Was it worth the salt? 11:54 VIK: Come see for yourself. All I know is the coin's good. And Olen said he needs the best thief in Thedas. 12:00 NADIA: Oh, did he say that? VIK: Yeah, but after they said no, he sent us to find you. 12:05 NADIA: (Laughter) I've missed you friend. (RAUCOUS TAVERN) OLEN: So, there I was treasure in one hand, blade in the 12:12 other about to make off with- NADIA: The biggest score of your life. OLEN: (Laughing) Nadia. Oh, it's been too many moons. 12:22 Ladies, can you give me and my dear friend here some privacy? We have some important business to discuss. 12:28 Then I promise to finish telling you my adventures. COMPANION: Don't keep us waiting too long. 12:36 NADIA: (Clearing throat) I think you mean my adventures, no? OLEN: Your adventures, my adventures. It's just a damn good story. 12:43 And I live to entertain. NADIA: Yeah, yeah. So what's the job? 12:48 (THUD ON TABLE) OLEN: I'm not gonna perfume the pig pen. This is a rough one. 12:53 The information is slim. The ask is impossible. And if anyone gets caught, we're all fucked. 12:59 NADIA: But? OLEN: But this. (COIN PURSE THUDDING ON TABLE) NADIA: That sounds heavy. 13:05 OLEN: Gold and lots of it. This is just a taste to get things started. Delivery guarantees triple the bag. 13:13 NADIA: Triple? What sort of fotress you got me breaking into? OLEN: (Sighing) Yeah. How about that? 13:20 NADIA: (Sighing) Olen. OLEN: You ugh (Coughing) you have to break into Arcanist Hall, The Archives. 13:26 NADIA: I'm sorry, what? OLEN: Look, I know it sounds impossible. NADIA: (Gasping) No. 13:31 OLEN: Come on, just hear me out. I have a plan. And you owe me. NADIA: No, I meant, "No, it doesn't sound impossible." 13:39 It sounds like just the thing I need: some fun. OLEN: (Luaghing) And here I thought 13:45 retirement would calm you down, but you sound crazy than ever. NADIA: Hey, I never retired. 13:52 I just took a little break from reality, but we all gotta wake up sooner or later. OLEN: I'll drink to that. 13:58 (CLINKING GLASSES, GULPING, GLASS SLAMMING DOWN ON TABLE) NADIA: So what's the mark? 14:04 OLEN: The Eye of Kethisca. NADIA:What in the world is The Eye of Kethisca? 14:09 (SHIP BELLS TOLLING, BUSTLING CROWD, LUTE PLAYING) 14:16 FISHMONGER: Get your fish. Fish! The freshest from the sea today. ELIO: (Clearing throat) Pardon me. 14:22 Excuse me. MERCHANT: Looking to win over the fair heart of your beloved. ELIO: No, no, thank you. 14:28 MERCHANT: Here, give this a try. ELIO: No, I said no. Thank you. 14:34 MERCHANT: Excuse me, sir. Hello! You look like a man with a heavy heart? 14:40 ELIO: If you only knew. MERHCANT: Oh, perhaps a nice bouquet of flowers will help mend your day. 14:46 ELIO: (Laughing) Flowers are what got me into this mess. If you'll excuse me. 14:51 (FOOTSTEPS, CRICKETS CHIRPING, LIVESTOCK NOISES) 15:01 ELIO: There's no need to follow me from the shadows. NEVE GALLUS: Magister Andante? 15:08 ELIO: And you are? NEVE: Name's Neve. Neve Gallus. ELIO: Ah, I've heard that name. 15:15 NEVE: (Laughing) In good context, I hope. ELIO: Always on the back of whispers. NEVE: So probably not then. Makes sense. The powerful 15:24 tend to look down on private investigators. They're not comfortable with anyone who's a friend 15:30 to street urchins and scullery maids. ELIO: Not to mention you know where all the dirt is hidden. 15:36 NEVE: And where all the bodies are buried. Yes, precisely. (SHIPS BELLS TOLLING) 15:41 ELIO: So, what is it that's brought you to me? NEVE: It's about Nadia. ELIO: You know Nadia? What's going on? 15:50 NEVE: I've received word that she's about to do something quite reckless. ELIO: Hm. That is kind of her thing. 15:58 NEVE: So I've been told. But now she's been tasked with stealing an ancient artifact. 16:04 ELIO: Also kind of her thing. NEVE: You don't understand. 16:09 She's going to break into the Archives and you have to stop her. ELIO: (Laughing) No, nobody stops Nadia, I'm afraid. 16:18 When her mind is set, it's like stone. NEVE: Well, you are going to have to find a way to stop her 16:27 because many lives depend on it. ELIO: What? Come again? 16:36 (CRICKETS CHIRPING, FOOTSTEPS) GUARD 1: (In the background) So, that's when I turned to me wife and I said, "Honey, I'd fight a whole legion of darkspawn 16:44 if it would make you be with me forever." (Laughter) Oh, come on. She bought it entirely! 16:49 VIK: (Whispering) This way. NADIA: (Panting) It seems like an awful lot 16:57 of guards here tonight. VIK: When has that ever stopped you? NADIA: Good point. VIK: Besides we got a man on the inside. 17:03 NADIA: Clever. (ARMORED FOOTSTEPS) GUARD 1: (In the background) Think about what it would be like to have your own guards. 17:08 GUARD 2: (In the background) Instead of being one of the guards. GUARD 1: (In the background) Yeah. VIK: Now, over that wall. 17:16 (GRUNTING, LANDING THUD, HEAVY BREATHING) 17:21 NADIA: You good old man? VIK: I'm fine. Dammit. NADIA: (Laughing) Wanna make a little wager? VIK: (Laughing) Oh, 50 silver to whoever's 17:28 over the south wall first? NADIA: You're on. (BREATHING, SPRINTING) VIK: Hey, wait! Hey! (GRUNTING, RUNNING FOOTSTEPS, BREATHING, LAUGHING) 17:44 (GRUNTING, RUNNING FOOTSTEPS, BREATHING, LAUGHING) VIK: You cheated! 17:49 No one said go. NADIA: We never established that as a rule. VIK: Whatever. Here's your coin, dammit. 17:55 (COIN CLINKING) NADIA: (Laughing) Thank you. Now give me a hand with this. VIK: (Grunting) Anchor the top of that wall. NADIA: Yes, I know how grappling hooks work, 18:02 thank you. (CLINKING OF HOOK, TOSSING ROPE, HOOK CLINKING ON GROUND) VIK: You were saying? 18:07 NADIA: Shut up. (Laughter) GUARD 1: What was that? VIK: (Whispering) Quiet. NADIA: (Whispering) I can get it this time. 18:13 (ROPE SWOOSHING) VIK: No, just wait. (NADIA GRUNTING) NADIA: Yes! Got it. GUARD 1: (In the background) You hear that? It's over there. 18:19 NADIA: Oh shit. VIK: Dammit. I told you to wait. NADIA: I thought you had a man on the inside. VIK: He just left the window open! 18:25 NADIA: (Sighing) Well, guess we better climb. VIK: You're climbing without me. NADIA: What? VIK: I gotta clean up your mess. NADIA: Vik! 18:30 VIK: Just go and remember over the ledge, through the window, and the Archives are down the spiral staircase. Go! 18:36 Over here, you bastards! Try and catch me! (Laughter) NADIA: Crazy fool. 18:42 (CLIMBING, GRUNTING) 18:49 NADIA: And there's the window. Thanks Vic. 18:55 (HORSE WHINNYING, METAL CLANGING) GATE GUARD 1: Someone approaches! GATE GUARD 1: Stop! Identify yourself at once. 19:02 ELIO: It's just me. GATE GUARD 1: Magister Andante, sir. GATE GUARD 2: We didn't see you in the dark. 19:08 ELIO: That's all right. Just doing your jobs. Try to stay warm out here, all right? (FOOTSTEPS) GATE GUARD 1: It's after hours at the archives, sir. 19:15 And our orders are to let no one pass. ELIO: Luckily for all of us. I am not no one. 19:21 (FOOTSTEPS) GATE GUARD 1: I'm sorry sir. But we cannot let you pass. GATE GUARD 2: Yes. Yes, sir. 19:27 ELIO: (Laughing) Let me see if I have this straight. You a night watchman are telling me, an Altus mage, 19:36 where he can and cannot go? GATE GUARD 2: But our orders, sir. 19:41 ELIO: And who gave those orders, hmm? The Magisterium of which I am a venerated member. 19:47 The Magisterium, which funds this building and pays your salaries, which means those orders came from me. 19:55 And now I'm giving you new orders to let me in. So, open the doors. 20:02 GATE GUARD 1: Uh...yes, sir! Right away. (GATES CREAKING OPEN) 20:09 Sir. ELIO: Have a good watch. (FOOTSTEPS, GATES CLOSING) 20:18 NADIA: Wow. 20:24 This place is massive! ELIO: How else do you expect it to hold every object, 20:31 scrap of writing, relic, or antiquity. that's even remotely interesting to the Empire? NADIA: Elio! ELIO: Evening, my love. 20:37 (FOOTSTEPS) NADIA: What are you doing? You can't be here. ELIO: Actually, no. I have every right to be here. 20:43 It is you who trespasses. NADIA: (Sighing) I'm sorry. I needed to clear my head after this morning. 20:50 ELIO: There were better ways to find peace than breaking into the Magisterium. NADIA: (Sighing) You wouldn't understand. 20:56 ELIO: You're right. But how can I understand when you keep so much locked away! NADIA: I do that to protect you. 21:02 ELIO: (Scoffing) You do it to protect yourself. NADIA: Elio, I... (SOMETHING MAGICAL HUMMING IN BACKGROUND) 21:09 Wait, listen. Do you hear that? (FOOTSTEPS) ELIO: Nadia? No! We have to go! 21:15 NADIA: Look over here. It's this box. I think this is it. 21:21 This is what I came for. It's the- ELIO: The Eye of Kethisca. 21:26 NADIA: How do you know that? ELIO: Listen to me. You've been tricked. This isn't a simple grab and go for the money! 21:32 There are bigger forces at play. We have to put this back and leave. NADIA: What? No, no. I could never- 21:39 ELIO: Nadia, look at me. I speak the truth. This thing is dangerous. 21:44 Please just put it down and come with me. We can go back to our lives like this never happened. 21:50 No marriage, no complications. Just you and me. Please. 21:57 NADIA: Okay. Okay. I trust you. Let's go. (FOOTSTEPS) 22:04 ELIO: Oh, no. NADIA: Really? You brought Templars? ELIO: They're not with me! (ARMOR CLANGING) TEMPLAR SERGEANT: The two of you! 22:10 Don't move. ELIO: Gentlemen, this is all a misunderstanding. I am Elio and - 22:16 TEMPLAR SERGEANT: We know who you are, Magister. And your treasonous deeds have been brought to our attention. 22:23 Believe me when I say that you and your little thief partner will hang 22:28 for everything you've done. ELIO: Sergeant. I'd advise you to watch your tongue. 22:34 TEMPLAR SERGEANT: And I'd advise you to come quietly. Otherwise, you'll suffer far greater than a rope. 22:41 NADIA: On my count. Get ready. ELIO: We should just surrender. I can explain things to the council. 22:47 NADIA: Look at them. Do they look like they wanna listen? ELIO: Nadia- NADIA: I'm sorry, but I won't let you pay for my mistakes. 22:52 Now watch out for the stacks. (SHELF TIPPING OVER, CRASHING TO THE FLOOR) 22:58 ELIO: No! The relics! TEMPLAR SERGEANT: No! NADIA: Do you think we can get away? ELIO: Not that one! 23:04 TEMPLAR SERGEANT: Save what you can! Kill the traitors! (STRUGGLING, FIGHTING, DAGGERS CLASHING) NADIA: Elio! Forget the damn relics! 23:11 ELIO: I can't believe you just did that! NADIA: Would you rather I let us die? Come on! 23:17 TEMPLAR SOLDIER 1: Watch out! Flame blast! (SPELL CASTING, SCREAMING) NADIA: Whoa. Have you always been able to do that? 23:24 Whatever that was? ELIO: Of course, I'm a bloody mage. 23:29 NADIA: Look out! (FIGHTING, STRUGGLING) ELIO: Oh, impressive moves my dear. 23:36 NADIA: Thanks. Now, can we please get out of here? ELIO: Lead the way (FOOTSTEPS, DOOR CLOSING) 23:44 NADIA: I have an escape route on the roof at the top of those stairs. ELIO: All of this because I wanted to celebrate a birthday. 23:50 NADIA: Now is not the time. ELIO: It never is. NADIA: Just be quiet and skip every third step. And don't touch the walls. 23:56 ELIO: What? Why? (FOOTSTEPS) NADIA: (Grunting) I installed some surprises, just in case. 24:05 (EXPLOSIONS) ELIO: My lady. I don't know if I should be impressed or scared. NADIA: Probably a little of both. 24:10 (RUNNING FOOTSTEPS) Come on, that window is our ticket out of here. 24:24 TEMPLAR SOLDIER 2: Halt, take another step andwe shall reign death upon you. 24:30 ELIO: (Out of breath) Archers. NADIA: Of all the cursed luck. The escape is right there! ELIO: Hold on, I've got this. NADIA: What are you doing? 24:37 ELIO: (Grunting) Firestorm! (ROARING FIRE PROJECTILE) 24:43 NADIA: You - you missed them! ELIO: Missing them was the point. (SCREAMS) 24:50 NADIA: They're retreating. ELIO: You don't always have to kill. Now, how do we get out of here? NADIA: Follow me. 24:56 (RUNNING FOOTSTEPS, RAPID BREATHING) NADIA: Hold tight. We're going down this rope fast and hard. 25:03 (SLIDING DOWN ROPE, GRUNTING) 25:13 NADIA: Are you okay? ELIO: Yeah. NADIA: Elio! ELIO: We are gonna have a long talk as soon 25:18 as we get back to the estate. NADIA: No. No, they'll be looking for you. We need to go to mine, to Dock Town. 25:24 ELIO: (Out of breath) Okay. (MUSIC) (SHIP BELLS RINGING, CRICKETS CHIRPING, FOOTSTEPS TRUDGING) 25:38 NADIA: (Panting) It's not much further. Just up...(grunts) 25:43 ELIO: What's that glowing in your bag? (MAGICAL HUMMING) It's this, the Eye. 25:49 ELIO:I told you that thing is dangerous! Why would you take it? NADIA: Because in case you didn't notice, we're both outlaws now. 25:57 ELIO: (Sighing) They're not gonna stop, are they? NADIA: (Sighing) I'm afraid not. 26:03 And I will make up for that later. But right now we need to get some coin and plan our next move, which means we're going to finish this deal. 26:10 Danger be damned. (FOOTSTEPS) NEVE: I'm afraid I can't let you do that. ELIO: You! NEVE: Hello again, Magister. 26:17 NADIA: Who's the hat? ELIO: This is Neve Gallus, private investigator. 26:23 And I presume the one who tipped them off. NEVE: Tipped who off? ELIO: The Templars. They ambushed us in the Archives, 26:29 swords drawn, talking treason. NEVE: That explains the light show. all of Minrathous just saw on the rooftop. 26:36 ELIO: Was it you? NEVE: It wouldn't really be good for my business if I earned a reputation for tipping off the law. 26:42 But I suspect I know who it was. NADIA: Mind sharing that information. NEVE: Have either of you ever heard 26:49 of the Dread Wolf? (GROAN FROM THE SHADOWS) ELIO: What was that? 26:54 NADIA: Show yourself! (GROANING, PANTING, FOOTSTEPS) VIK: Nadia! (COLLAPSING, EVERYONE GASPING) 27:00 NADIA: Vik! (COUGHING, LIQUID GUSHING) No! No, no, no, no, no. 27:06 ELIO: Who is this? NADIA: His name's Vik. We're old friends. He works for the guy who gave me this job. NEVE: He what? 27:12 VIK: They're coming for you. (WHEEZING, DEATH RATTLE FROM VIK) 27:17 (ARROWS RAINING DOWN) NADIA: Take cover! Templars found us! NEVE: Those aren't Templars. 27:23 ELIO: Assassins! (SPELL CASTING) 27:30 ELIO: Frost magic? NEVE: You're not the only mage here! (FIGHTING, CLASHING) 27:37 ELIO: Neve! Behind you! (FIGHTING, BOULDER SLAMMING INTO GROUND) 27:43 NEVE: That's a nice trick, Magister. ELIO: Stonefist. One of my favorites. (FIGHTING, MAGICAL HUMMING GROWING LOUDER) 27:49 NADIA: Uhh guys, the Eye thing is being weird. Is this bad? It seems bad. 27:55 ELIO: Nadia, not now. NEVE: Elio, stop. Don't draw any power from the Fade- 28:04 (SONIC WAVE BOOMING) NADIA: (Grunting, panting) 28:12 Elio. Elio! Elio, wake up. ELIO: What happened? NADIA: The eye went boom. 28:20 Now come on. Here's our chance. ELIO: What about Neve? NADIA: Let her figure it out. (CLIMBING ONTO BOAT) 28:35 NADIA: Untie that rope. I'll raise the sails. ELIO: So this is the boat you never let me see. 28:40 NADIA: (Grunting) Now is not the time. (PULLEY RAISING SAILS) Come on, already. Damn blasted pulley. Hurry. Push this off. 28:48 ELIO: Right. On it. (Grunting) (SHOVING BOAT AWAY FROM DOCK, WAVES LAPPING BOAT) NEVE: Come back! 28:54 You don't understand what you're doing! NADIA: Bye-bye, now. NEVE: I won't let you leave! 29:00 (SPELL CASTING) ELIO: Maker's breath! She's trying to freeze the bay. 29:06 NADIA: Shit! Grab an oar. Help me get this thing moving. ELIO: I have a better idea. (BLAST OF WIND) 29:13 NEVE: The Eye will destroy you! NADIA: Hey. 29:19 ELIO: Hey what? NADIA: You're amazing. Thank you. (KISSING) 29:27 ELIO: So, uh, where to now? (WAVES, SEAGULLS) NADIA: To find this buyer of Olen's. 29:34 He said he's an elf with a fancy tongue. ELIO: Oh, great. 29:39 (MUSIC) 29:52 (HORSE TROTTING, WAGON WHEELS) 29:59 NADIA: Elio, we're here. How you feeling? 30:05 ELIO: (Grunting) Like I've been left out to rot in the sun. 30:11 Oh, the Silent Planes, as barren as ever. NADIA: I don't know. 30:17 It's prettier than I thought it would be, peaceful too. Nothing at all like Minrathous. 30:22 ELIO: Yeah. Well, I don't suppose that'll be a problem anymore, seeing as neither of us can ever go back. 30:29 NADIA: I said I was sorry. ELIO: I know. I just... All those relics, the history, the knowledge. 30:36 NADIA: Elio, I didn't know what else to do. I did it to protect you. ELIO: What's done is done. 30:44 I - I'm sorry. 30:49 Look, when I proposed, I told you all I wanted was to be with you. 30:56 Now I have that. So, we'll figure the rest out together. I promise. I just need time. 31:06 NADIA: Me and you, Elio. ELIO: Me and you. What's that? NADIA: What's what? 31:13 ELIO: That glimmer. Is that- NADIA: Your grandmother's ring? Yeah. ELIO: You kept it. NADIA: I did. 31:21 NADIA: But you wear it around your neck and not your finger. NADIA: Got to start somewhere. (HORSE WHINNYING) 31:26 Whoa, whoa! Shh, shh, shh. What's got you spooked, girl? ELIO: Probably just that ominous looking chap in the road 31:32 just ahead. Is that your guy? NADIA: I'm not sure. Hood's up. I can't see his face. 31:38 ELIO: Think he's safe. NADIA: Let's go find out. Keep an eye for bandits just in case. 31:44 (HORSE TROTTING, SNORTING) 31:49 You! Stranger! Do you know of Olen? 31:55 SOLAS: Nadia, I presume. I am Solas. And I am, I believe, the one that you seek. 32:03 NADIA: You have the gold. SOLAS: If that is what matters most to you. NADIA: It's what matters to the world. 32:09 (COINS JINGLING) SOLAS: Perhaps. NADIA: Looks good to me. 32:14 Elio, give him the eye. ELIO: (Whispering) Are you sure about this? NADIA: What other choice do we have? 32:21 ELIO: One moment. (MAGICAL HUMMING) 32:27 SOLAS: Steady yourselves. There is nothing to fear from this relic. 32:33 NADIA: You didn't see what this thing did back in Minrathous - unleashed a wave of energy or something. 32:38 Tore the ground up. Almost killed Elio. SOLAS: I will demonstrate. (Speaking strange tongue) 32:45 Ar dirthan'as ir elgara... Ma'sula e'var vhenan... 32:52 ELIO: How did you do that? SOLAS: The eye was made from a rare gem mined here in the caves beneath us. 33:00 It was crafted centuries ago by a powerful dreamer. ELIO: So it's connected to the Fade. 33:07 SOLAS: Do you feel a connection to the fade, Magister? ELIO: You know who I am. 33:13 SOLAS: Among other things. I know you well. NADIA: What is this? What- what game are you playing? 33:19 SOLAS: I do not play games. But if you seek answers, then come. 33:26 (FOOTSTEPS THROUGH ROCKY DEBRIS) (FOOTSTEPS THROUGH ROCKY DEBRIS) 33:40 NADIA: Maybe we should turn back. This cave has a dark energy. I don't like it. (BATS SQUEAKING) 33:45 SOLAS: Energy is neither dark nor light. It is just energy. And it is not the cave responsible for what you feel. 33:53 It is the Fade. The veil is fragile here. ELIO: I can feel it. 33:59 SOLAS: What about the eye? Can you feel that too? NADIA: You said you had answers about what happened. 34:05 Tell us. SOLAS: (Sighing) I suspect that when Elio summoned his magic back on those 34:10 docks, he unknowingly formed a bond with the eye and it amplified his powers. 34:16 (BLADE UNSHEATHING) NADIA: You better choose your next words very carefully. ELIO: What are you doing? 34:21 NADIA: We never said it was at the docks. SOLAS: Kindly remove your blade from my neck. NADIA: You start talking. I'll decide if I move it. 34:30 SOLAS: Do you think the threat of a knife brings truth? NADIA: The knife is just a promise. 34:35 ELIO: Nadia, put it down. 34:41 NADIA: Fine. (BLADE BEING SHEATHED) SOLAS: I heard word that the Venatori had plans for the Eye. 34:47 I hired Olen to retrieve the relic before that could happen. (WIND HOWLING) 34:54 ELIO: Why would you do that? SOLAS: Because they do not understand its power... or yours Magister. 35:03 ELIO: Mine. SOLAS: There are things in motion that neither of you can fully grasp. 35:08 And it is up to me to ensure that we arrive at the best possible outcome. But in order for that to happen, yes, I will need your help. 35:17 ELIO: Why me? SOLAS: Because you are a powerful Rift Mage and your bloodline is tied to this relic. 35:24 The dreamer that forged the eye bore the name of An'Dante. ELIO: My family created it. 35:32 NADIA: It was no accident that Olen hired me, was it? SOLAS: You are sharper than you let on. 35:37 NADIA: It's a gift. SOLAS: It's a frailty. ELIO: I was told that the eye would end the world 35:42 not mend it. SOLAS: Some people confuse a reckoning as an ending. ELIO: So you seek reform? 35:50 SOLAS: I seek regeneration. NADIA: I've heard enough of this dreck. 35:56 Let's go, Elio. Elio! ELIO: I'll do it. 36:01 NADIA: Umm...can I speak to you for a moment? (FOOTSTEPS) (Whispering) Are you crazy? 36:07 There is no way we can trust this guy. ELIO: (Whispering) I understand your concern, but my purpose in the Magisterium was to help the people, 36:14 to invoke change. I can't do that now. That life is over. 36:20 This could be my last chance to make a difference. And to find out that the eye was born by my ancestors' hand. 36:26 I - I have to do this. It was fated. 36:32 (MUSIC) NADIA: Why must you be so noble? ELIO: We are who we are. My love. 36:38 (FOOTSTEPS, MAGICAL HUMMING) 36:48 NADIA: What is this place? SOLAS: An ancient chamber, once home to unspeakable acts. 36:56 Many were sacrificed on these grounds and the blood that was spilled weakened the barriers between our worlds. 37:03 ELIO: And the eye will help us fix that? SOLAS: More or less. NADIA: And you're sure this is safe? 37:10 SOLAS: As safe as we make it. NADIA: I don't know. I've got a bad feeling about this. 37:15 ELIO: Would it help if I told you that ring around your neck is imbued with a protective spell? NADIA: Maybe. Is it? ELIO: Maybe. (Nadia laughs) 37:25 SOLAS: The relic is ready. Prepare your mind. Begin. 37:33 SOLAS & ELIO: (Chanting in Elvish) Heruamin litirien. Alai uethri maeria. 37:40 Halurocon yalei nam bahna. Dolin nereba maome... NADIA: Guys. Guys, this is not the right. 37:46 SOLAS: Silence, please. SOLAS & ELIO: (Chanting in Elvish) Ame amin. Halai lothi amin. 37:51 Aloamin Heruamin. Heruamin oh lonai. Imwe naine beriole... (ROCKS BREAKING, CAVE CRUMBLING) NADIA: Elio! Elio, I really don't like this! Elio! 38:00 ELIO: It's working, Nadia. I can feel it! SOLAS & ELIO: (Shouting in Elvish) AME AMIN! HALAI LOTHI AMIN! ALOAMIN HERUAMIN! 38:09 ALOAMIN HERUAMIN! ALOAMIN HERUAMIN! 38:17 NADIA: Elio! ELIO: Solas, something is wrong! SOLAS: Keep your focus. 38:22 ELIO: Solas, please! We must stop! SOLAS: Keep your mind steady. 38:28 ELIO: I feel something. What is this? NADIA: Solas, you have to stop this! SOLAS: This is all to be expected. 38:35 Remain firm. ELIO: I can't hold on! SOLAS: If you let go now the Eye will explode. 38:42 NADIA: Elio! ELIO: I'm here! NADIA: Where? (Elio screaming) (CAVE COLLAPSING) 38:48 NADIA: Elio! Elio! SOLAS: We must flee. We must flee. Now! 38:56 Hurry! NADIA: Elio! SOLAS: Nadia, here, take my hand. 39:04 NADIA: Save Elio! SOLAS: He has crossed over. NADIA: Elio! SOLAS: We must escape. I'm sorry. 39:32 (BREEZE RUSTLING) 39:38 (HORSE WHINNYING) 39:43 NADIA: (Grunting) Elio. Elio, are you there? 39:49 Elio! Solas! Hello! 39:58 No! (CLOCK TICKING) 40:06 NADIA: I will ask you one more time. Did you know about the Venatori? OLEN: (Choking) No, I swear. 40:12 NADIA: And Solas. Did you know of his plan for Elio? OLEN: (Choking) Who's Solas? NADIA: What do you mean, "Who's Solas?" 40:18 He's the guy you sent me to meet. OLEN: (Coughing) We never met in person. My contact only referred to him by title. 40:23 NADIA: And what was that? OLEN: The Dread Wolf. NADIA: Son of a bitch! 40:28 (FIST SLAMMING TABLE, FOOTSTEPS) OLEN: Nadia, please. NADIA: Where can I find this wolf? OLEN: I don't know. 40:35 NADIA: Well, that's too bad for you. OLEN: Wait, wait. (Coughing) I over heard my contact speaking to another about his plans 40:41 to visit ancient burial grounds in the Hinterlands. But that's all I know. By the maker, I swear! 40:52 NADIA: There's your antidote. Careful not to choke on it. (GLASS VIAL ROLLING ACROSS TABLE, CORK POPPING, CHUGGING) 41:03 OLEN: I really am sorry, Nadia. Truly. (COINS JINGLING, THUNKING ON TABLE) NADIA: That's for Vik's family. Make sure they get it. 41:09 And if they don't, I'll be back. OLEN: I shall, on my grave. 41:14 NADIA: Then we never need to see each other again. (DOOR CLOSING, WIND BLOWING) 41:22 (HORSE NEIGHING) NADIA: Shh. Easy, girl. 41:30 We got a long ride ahead of us. 41:35 (SMALL, EERIE RINGING) ELIO: Nadia! NADIA: Elio? ELIO: (Screaming) Nadia! NADIA: Elio, where are you? Are you okay? 41:42 ELIO: I can't escape without you. You must - you must find a way! NADIA: Don't worry. Don't worry, 41:47 I'm coming. What do I do? Like - like how do I get to you? ELIO: (Screaming) I'm here! (Words echoing) NADIA: Elio! 41:55 Elio! 42:01 Don't worry my love. I'm coming for you. Hyah! I only suspect Bellara right now, honestly. But wouldn't it be a little obvious, though? That's the part that gives me pause... 🤔 If I'm wrong about Bellara, sorry girl (blame BioWare!), it's nothing personal. I'll send you some flowers and like a gift basket and some scented candles. maybe that's the plot twist they're going for? "you're expecting that we wouldn't make Bellara the traitor since it'd be too obvious? ok then, she's the traitor!" but if there is a traitor in The Veilguard group, I suspect it's Neve not a "muahaha evil plan character", but maybe she could have a hidden motive to be with Veilguard?

(CORK POPPING) OLEN: There's no time for that. And I'm plenty drunk as is. 3:33 You gotta get out of here. I damn near thought I was being followed home. 3:38 NADIA: You set that job up. Now I want to have a drink. So we are going to have a drink. 3:45 (BOTTLE SLAMMING ON TABLE) OLEN: Alright then. One drink. Hyah! In DAI, everyone is a member of an organisation, so I'm guessing relationship level betrayal might be a thing. But we do not have any apostate in the party...we do have Morrigan and Solas making a return thought. Do you mean DAV? From what they have said, you may annoy companions enough they will leave for a time and just go back to doing whatever they were doing before you signed them up but will return at some point because the plot demands it and they want to save Thedas. However, they also hinted at one point (in 2020) that companions can die, so I don't know if that will be a factor but Corinne said something about a decision at one point being "heartbreaking", so make of that what you will. Perhaps they don't die but you kick them out or something (perhaps because of some sort of betrayal) and their lover is torn over it (because they can form relationships with one another if you don't).

Yes, DAV, tiny typo.

Can't wait to visit to the Vows and Vegence episode after work. I thought those episodes will be short, about 10mins each. Beyond excited to get a weekly dose of new Dragon Age content

I feel like if there's a traitor it almost has to be Harding because everyone else is too obvious. We're used to being betrayed by Mages, everyone's going to be suspicious of the elves because of Solas and the Evanuris, and they just did the Qunari betraying us last game. That just leaves Lucanis and Harding and Lucanis turning on us would probably feel too much like the Zevran betrayal route in Origins for them to want to go there again. So my prediction is that there's no traitor(s) this time. That or we're doing a wild twist on the formula and it's possible for Rook to betray everyone else. (I would love that. Wouldn't do it first time around but I'd definitely make a character who'd go for it at some point ...) *whispers* Rook is the traitor. Or Inquisitor

Finally got around to pre-ordering Veilguard - got the physical deluxe edition. Now let's just hope there isn't another freak snowstorm preventing me from picking it up from the store for several days while trapped at home with nothing to do. At least this is releasing a couple weeks earlier in the year than DAI.

I would like to tell them that there marketing isn't effective and very confusing. I think it has hurt more than it has helped. And at the moment they are to closed up. Only marketing on their platforms. At the moment only ME or DA fans are on it. They will need more than the fandom.
The real question is "do Biowaer feel anyone outside of the DA fandom willbuy it?" Because wih us they know the ycan ge taway with how they'v edone hings because the yknow w eknow them bettr than that. I thin ka lot of casuals just saw tha tfirs ttraile rand thought nope don't want a Fortnite clone. We know Bioware better than that as I said but if you aren' tinvested or know Bioware that well then chances are Veilguard won't interest you. I know Bioware better than tha tand s od omost here I think. I d oagree ha tthe yneed more than jus tus t obuy it especiall yaft reAndromeda and Anthem. Bu tgiven tha tBioware has sinc ebeen downsized to a smaller studio it's hard to say wha tthey're expecting and whether EA has just acvcepted that Bioware are best just lef tto their own devices producing Dragon Age and Mass Effect games from now on ever ys ooften and to sta yout of it especiall yafte rAnthem. It wouldn' tb elike EA t oacknowledge it but it ma yb ehow the yfeel. As Bioware's mos tsuccessful games have come whewn EA has generally lef tBioware to it. The problem is the money. They need at least DAI numbers. But as the fandom stands now with some DAO fans that will not buy the game and other that aren't sure because of the grafic. I think they need more than the fandom. And for the casal american gamer i am not sure how many will give this game a change after the negativity.
I can see this game beeing a good option for Japanese RPG fans. It isn't so far away from JRPGs. The game will have syncro for many countries so why not try to get people to know it is coming out.

I believe Bio is very much aware of how to target the right gamer demographic. The studio designed the game to play well on low end PCs on top of the PS5 & Microsoft hardware. From a hdw point of view, they've expanded and therefore increased potential sales.
Marketing is key, of course and the awareness of DA4 must be pushed out. Bio may start the marketing campaign in earnest shortly... ahem.. soon.
I would have said that as well, before the marketing has started. But as someone from the marketing myself and a gamer, i only can say who the hell makes the decisions. Because some decisions looks like a marketing choice as example the xbox showcase, but what was shown wasn't a marketing choice at all. I don't know everything, but i can see the game got hurt from the first shown trailer. And if they don't start in september to get the name out in positive light, it might be to late. Because a big company like EA look at the first numbers on release. That may be a bit exaggerated: But it feels like someone is sabotaging the success of the game.
A big epic trailer on the xbox showcase and many people would have talk different. Because of the many positive comments. Edit: One reason why DAI got it's numbers.

As we allways have a traitor and a lier (not allways 100% fit but you know what i mean)
I would say Bellara or Davrin is the lier. I can see one of them not telling us something. The traitor is more difficult: Emmric or Taash maybe but i am not really sure yet.

Can't wait to visit to the Vows and Vegence episode after work. I thought those episodes will be short, about 10mins each. Beyond excited to get a weekly dose of new Dragon Age content I really enjoyed it, I hope you do too!

I personally wouldn't call all those instances people characterize as betrayals as actual betrayals, but things stemming from disagreements about actions that the character thinks need to be taken, even if it means going against ideas or wishes of others. And IMO this is where betrayal from Inky or Rook could stem from - they either have an idea how to solve things that put them in deep disagreement with others, or act upon some sort of knowledge they may have not shared with others for whatever reason, thus becoming an obstacle, even if temporarily.

Another one of Solas plans failed yet again, why am I not surprised

Wouldn't do it first time around but I'd definitely make a character who'd go for it at some point ...) STOP SUGGESTING THAT MY LOVE IS A TRAITOR!
