I don't think so, previous games haven't bothered to do so. So, how are people knowing when Act One ends or Act two ends etc? We know when Act 1 end because the devs revealed that information at the preview event. For act 2/act 3, it's probably as colfoley is saying, there is a change in the narrative so we can guess it.

Depending how far you are you may not even have the dagger yet. There's a whole quest to get it If you mean The Darkspawn? Yes, I finished that quest. You don't use the Lyrium Dagger directly in combat. You will begin collecting Runes that can be slotted into it. Those runes can be activated to grant boosts with a cooldown. I forget precisely where I found that first rune, but it was after I'd already had the dagger for a time.

Like 90K on Steam for a Dragon Age game done by EA is super impressive and is the most successful game EA has put on that particular platform.

Baldurs Gate 3 had 870k+, Cyberpunk had 830k+ Even Dragon's Dogma a niche game had 220k+ players So Veilguard really should have had at least 250k+ if not more wouldn't you agree? I guess you can hope that it has somehow done very well on consoles because the steam number is objectively bad for an AAA game that had huge marketing

What the players think about success of a game doesn't matter anyway. Only EA and Bioware can in the end decide what's a success for them. We don't know which goals they set themselves internally. They might have accomplished goals already, or they will, or they will partially, or not at all. We do not know, so this is all moot.

But I highly suspect that even if it had a million concurrent users on Steam, the kind of people who suddenly care about concurrent users would just move the goalposts. So, whatever.

I am specifically talking about the lackluster player count on steam. Whether people have fun with the game or not doesn't concern me, I am sure some also had fun with Concord or Anthem & another flops. Its not looking good for this game. At this point only strong sales on consoles can save it.

The games a hit and the chuds can't handle it so they fall back on bogus player figures for other games which they pull out of their butts.
This is a terrific game and I am having a blast 25 hours in!

This is a terrific game and I am having a blast 25 hours in! None of those player counts are "bogus" (look them up) but it seems like fans of this game are coping hard that Veilguard can't even beat a niche japanese game (Dragons dogma 2) and is a complete joke compared to other popular RPG games What a fall from grace if you think not even 90k players are a good thing. You better hope the sales on consoles are crazy good, otherwise EA may shut down Bioware

What a fall from grace if you think not even 90k players are a good thing. You better hope the sales on consoles are crazy good, otherwise EA may shut down Bioware Whether or not BioWare as an entity gets shut down probably has more to do with how the next Mass Effect is looking than how Veilguard does. (How Veilguard does will determine if Dragon Age gets any more installments in the near future, though.) Anyway, we have no reliable way of knowing if the game is doing great or terrible or somewhere in between right now - Inquisition sold mostly on consoles, I expect Veilguard will be the same and we've got no figures at all on those platforms.
I'm only through Act One at the moment, but I have to say that if this does turn out to be the last Dragon Age game it seems like a much better place to stop than any of the previous ones. Many of the big lore questions are answered and it seemingly does not end on a horrible cliffhanger like DAI. If we had to stop here it seems like a good spot.

How about we don't make this into a 'Which game is better than this and that?' war Good advice fraggle . journey95 , you've more than sufficiently shared your point. It's getting repetitive now. Please take it to the skepticism/criticism thread or off-site.

Hmm. A number of these entries are coming in on the Steam DB, I wonder if this means a patch is incoming.
