I still don't see the Disney humor that people keep talking about.
If anything it's the whimsical music that sometimes plays whenever spirits are involved, like Neve's wisps trolling her and Emmrich's shenanigans.
It feels pretty intentional, denoting how spirits *are* whimsical creatures which mirrors how Arlathan as a whole has a high fantasy vibe to it... until you look beneath the facade and see some truly eldritch horror shit like the wooden... sculptures... you see around Arlathan.

What does whimsical music have to do with Disney humor?
And those wisps are adorables! At least my Mourn Watcher Rook said so. But I totally believe it too!

Hey I'm not mad about it. I thought it was adorable. It was definitely whimsical and that's what's tied to Disney humor generally. Like Neve wisps trolling her and the "fairy magic" music popping up.

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth Astrobot Metaphor Black Myth: Wukong (I think the global like for the game will probably propel it as a nominee)
I think GotY is normally 6 candidates. There was a Yakuza game that reviewed quite well, so it could take a slot. I've heard about this game called Balatro that's also been talked about in high praises. I don't think DAV will make the list, but if it does, I do think it will be the least (or second to least) voted choice.
Taash, too. Much to my surprise, I thought that when I first saw her. But actually my previous comment I was talking about Belara. She is my Mage's romance.
But definitely....my Rogue, Cressida, is going to romance Taash. I thoight about Neve at first...But I changed my mind. Im gonna go for Taash with my Rogue.

Beat the game after nearly 100hrs of playtime on Nightmare. I've got thoughts, but I'll post them in the appropriate thread when I have time.
Man, I bow to someone with your skill.
I'm a completionist at heart. Ubisoft trained me well lol.
I planned on leaving this for my own thoughts/review. While the early game on Nightmare can be a slog, once you find a rhythm for your playstyle choice, and how to properly build a character, it's quite easy to chunk enemies for large amounts of health. I went with a Stagger build focused on sustain and increasing my damage whenever I gain an buff. Worked out pretty well for 2/3's of my playthrough.

As a heads up, the final "Point of no return" part of the game is longer than you might think. So if you're hoping to go through it in one-sitting, be prepared to put at least 2-4 hours away.
Playing on Nightmare made combat and builds a lot more fun for me, especially with a no reload personal rule. Had to use Revive twice (final Act 1 boss and final crossroads boss after I trolled) but o/w it went pretty smoothly overall.

Is anyone able to explain what is going on with the below?
John Epler is posting these things on bluesky and initially I was worried he was having a stroke, but other people seemed to be clued in as to what is happening?

And I realise it is some kind of code or translation, but I don't know of what.

I think Weekes has done this before. I can't remember what the code is called though.
