not to spread misinfo because we just dont know yet, and not being alarmist; and yea I know DAI had separate non-mandatory MP that didnt detract resources from SP; and yup I know live elements/post launch stuff doesnt automatically mean an mmo/anthem-style post launch shared world support (and so forth) - but boy, gosh, do I everrrr still wish BW would stop saying "Dragon Age 4" and "multiplayer" in the same sentence lolol I seem to remember an announcement by one of EA's bigwigs that all games would have some form of MP. If the Bioware team keep to a similar implementation, I would have no problem with that. The cooperative approach worked well, and I see it is still going strong. separate standalone coop like MEMP and DAmp or even separate standalone pvp is fine and cool heck even a nice bonus. but blehhhgghhh at the idea of an anthem style shared world or there being no true SP (playing an mp game solo doesnt count). nope nope nope

And I don't think they'd go 'full Anthem', because Anthem's shared world is built specifically to be updated and modified for years within one title . But switching on and off some events on map? Randomizing events on it like the appearance of rifts or seasonal/unique bosses? Mixing things a little bit on server side so open world would be more varied? Doing something fun with the Fade that could work if hooked with some sort of multiplayer? ...Why not?

Curious about something: how many people here have played Ghost Recon Wildlands? And do you think that kind of MP could work for DA 4?

Hey, notice that none of the possible scenarios I mentioned really involve other people Also - for multiplayer that doesn't really involve other players, check out Dragon's Dogma pawn system.

Ringo Leonhart @rinjirenee But this begs the question: Who are the BEST Dragon Age dates?
Natalie @stumpynat LELIANA. Okay, so, we never actually go on a date with her, but I bet it would be AMAZING. Followed in close second by Isabela, though I suspect that would likely end up in an arrest by local authorities.
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby Josephine. Who knows every exclusive venue in every city in Thedas and can not only get you in, but has probably been planning extravagant and elaborate dates for a fun between diplomatic meetings.
Natalie @stumpynat Oh, my god. She's probably super thoughtful and finds the BEST little gifts, not too expensive, but just PERFECT for you. You know, the ones that make you feel bad for not paying as much attention to detail as she does.
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby I'd also pick Dorian for Best Date in Thedas. Who, even if you wound up somewhere terrible would make the most of it.

He is the terrible kind of high school relationship you both regret as well as remember with vague fondness, but can only speak of positively in a "Thank You Next" kind of way. Mind you, isn't that every romance in DA2? Mary Kirby @biomarykirbyIn retrospect, maybe we should not all have listened to Bad Romance on repeat while writing DA2.

Does no-one see this? As I said in response to his Lord Pissiness, the article is about dating skills, not long-term relationship prosepcts. Alistair picked a rose and carried it half the game just because it reminded him of you. Naturally, his dates would be likely be somewhere romantic; the worst thing he might do is put a little TOO much effort into it.

I'm fairly sure they're just having fun ripping their darlings to shreds for the lulz, not necessarily treating these as super-accurate or only viable takes.

I mean, going to the liquor store with Fenris and then back to his place sounds like exactly my kind of date. And I don't even really drink. I guess that's why he's my favourite BioWare romance!

No Anders? Surprising but Leliana is Nr. 5? What about Sebastian? I would argue he is more annoying with his church stuff then Leliana could ever be.
