To be fair... I don't see any psychoanalyzing going on? At least not in the posts above yours. No one really came to any conclusions about the quality of the product, they just expressed their concern and feelings and questions about production. Which, with such a tumultuous production involving a full reboot, a pivot in direction, and multiple departures - who wouldn't have concerns, feelings, and questions? I get what you're saying, but there's a huge difference between that and the usual doomsayers.
Yeah, I didn't mean to point fingers at anyone in specific, mostly just thinking aloud (Or, thinking in post?) Which, in hindsight, maybe wasn't wise when there was no immediately preceding post that warranted such a response. I just wanted to get my thoughts out - apologies if anyone feels called out for it.
To provide some further clarification on my thinking, though: tbh I don't really pay attention to positive or negative news on DA4 anymore. At least, not if it's about employees leaving or another BTS video. I know we don't have much to go on right now, but I'm just tired of gossip and marketing speak. I'm hungry for substantial news, of course, and hoping we'll get some soon. But any news about DA4 that doesn't directly expose what the game is or looks like? Meh.
I view DA4 news in a similar way to my applications to medical school. We just keep getting ignored, confused, and gaslit if we focus on it. Best to just pretend nothing is happening and either be A) greatly disappointed, or, in the less likely case, be B ) happily surprised by the big pieces of news we get. All the little things are like chaff in the wind at this point.
Carly Hibiscus @carlyqueue i mentioned not drawing much this week and that's because i started my new job at bioware as a world animator on dragon age ! Two hearts so thankful for all the support over the past few months and im so excited for this new journey

Wearing a skirt and not shaving your legs? I am as progressive as the next person but.....
TBH I like the recent trend toward more body hair in art. We’ve spent a long time trapped in this really strange societal feedback loop: more work to draw/render body hair -> artists often omit it from drawings or CGI characters -> we see a bunch of seal-smooth fictional characters -> the smoothness starts to read as “normal” to our brains, making everything else look dirty -> artists draw it even less.
To the point where it’s hard to even find hairy guys in cartoons or videogames, unless their entire aesthetic is “bear”. And even then, it’s usually chest or arm hair… heaven forbid they wear shorts.

Jess @ jess_Anim Block in --- Accountability post Don't mind my gameplay camera, its just to give me an approx idea.
- I'm reluctant to read too much into a publicly made tweet, but she is an animator at BW, and it looks like an Anthem helmet on the figure.
Just my little thought: I would love a return to sword and dagger instead of just double daggers for rogues.

Same! I do like all the dual wielding mixing & matching you can do in AC Valhalla, though that may not be practical here...
I'd be already happy to have the rapier-style blade to use as a rogue (pirate/musketter style) like those the crow lady have in the artwork. Not gonna hope for spears, but those would be great too! As much as I love DA's weapons, some variety would be great.

Compared to some of the stuff I've seen on other forums we are pretty tame here to be honest. There are places where if you ask people for help it's almost guaranteed they will ridicule or insult you. When I've needed help with for example modding people here have been super nice, spending quite some time with me just to make my silly game work properly.
