I'm returning to a Soldier Shep run I was playing in ME1. I noticed that I have the "Throw" ability. How is that possible? I know things can change in ME2 but how does Soldier Shepard have biotics and ME1?

Yeah you picked it as a bonus power. I am doing a soldier run in ME 1 myself. My current bonus power is sabotage (decryption) but hardly put any points into it. I have a rule for myself that I never use a biotic bonus power on a non biotic class.

Yeah you can just not use the bonus (or even invest in it if you don't want the stat increases).
Decryption is the throw away bonus I tend to put on Soldier, too.

I prefer Electronics for the Soldier myself. Shepard obviously knows something about machines regardless of class and it improves defense.
