I know it's too late now but I haven't yet played mass effect Andromeda and I need to know how to install it. Is it like me 1,2,3 that the save files of all the previous 3 games need to be available to import the character or is it like whole new story. Do I have to have me 1,2,3 installed while installing me andromeda?

Also, before you start, after the game is installed, check out some of KrrKs' bug fixes. I finally completed my last achievement (Hang Time) yesterday, using one of his mods (they're easy to install). Other mods (having finished all my intended SP runs) are not relevant for me, but would be relevant to you, since they will fix some of the dialog and visual bugs … both those that are merely aesthetic as well as those which might interfere with game progression of certain side quests.

No just install and enjoy. It's an entirely separate story with just some vague references to the trilogy dotted here and there. But I think those references were there for those that did enjoy it. TBH you don't really need to know what happened in the trilogy though to enjoy Andromeda
