I'm somewhat acquainted with the floating points, but all the other shit still doesn't mean much. I've always found it as a buzzword for Sony/MS. "Our console has more tErA fLoPs more=better" The DOOM without Denuvo was actually semi playable, you needed Beth accounts and yadda yadda, ain't no pirate have time for that. Reports of crashes mid way and hitting walls were also mentioned. Rumor has it ID might have done it on purpose, like they did for RAGE 2 (???) as a way of not showing support for that garbage of a DRM. I'm playing BL3 and honestly it's hard to tell if the game average performance is due to Denuvo tanking the living fuck out of the PC, but I wouldn't be surprised. It eats through an i7 like acid after all, and whenever you loose connection to the GBX servers game hangs for like 5 seconds after returning to normal. In any event, a scene group has properly cracked the game yesterday. Wonder if the DRM free had something to do about it... probably. Denuvo is a bitch after all.

Here's hoping AMD secretly works on something similar, they already have "Radeon Image Sharpening" and "Radeon Boost", just mix the stuff with some AI, easy-peasy

Unfortunately the direction I have seen at AMD is mostly catch-up and not innovation.

Samurai Shodown is now EGS exclusive. archive.vn/GwXQcMany think it has high chances to fail because of the small fighting games market on PC, and the fact that it won't have cross-play, also unlike Steam the EGS doesn't have native controller/Linux support.

Unfortunately the direction I have seen at AMD is mostly catch-up and not innovation. Competition is good, and I'm hoping AMD will come up with something of their own. I am surprised how good DLSS is already, and we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg with ray-traced lighting. Though it'll be some years yet before we have the hardware to really do it justice.

TBH I don' tthink I should have gone to AMD in the first place. Bu tlesson learned.

Unfortunately the direction I have seen at AMD is mostly catch-up and not innovation. It will definitely take a lot to get me back on Team Red. I bought an R290...X? I think that's what it was, anyway, to replace a well performing AMD card whose designation I can't remember now in preparation for DAI. It was useless. Kept hanging in games and causing a buzzing sound. Replaced it with another card of the same under warranty. Same issue. Went to my retailer a second time and they asked what I'd like to do. I told them I wanted a GTX980 and would pay the extra. Never looked back. In fact, it was so good - at the time - that I went and bought two 980Ti's to run in SLi and had that setup for several years until I bought my 2080Ti at the end of 2018. Although, I will be glad to see Nvidia pressured to improve their service if AMD can get their shit together hardware wise.

Back in the day my friends that used AMD used to try and convince me to buy AMD hardware by saying I was paying a "tax" to use Intel or Nvidia hardware, but over the years they have switched away from AMD for one reason or another themselves. Its going to take something major for me to go back to AMD as well and right now I don't see it happening, but then again I never really saw myself using Nvidia hardware either, but then AMD bought ATI.

I have mostly bought AMD CPU/GPU (100% CPU/50% GPU) since 2000 and never had to return one of their hardware. Even my recent 5700 XT, considering to be trash hardware by many, isn't causing me the amount of issues people claims they have...and I bought the worst one going by what people are saying online (note: didn't know about the issues before buying it). Issues with game developers only developing for Nvidia though. A lots. Pretty much every games that shows "Nvidia the way it's meant to be played" at start up will have issues with AMD GPU/CPU (that include games from BioWare and The Witcher 3). Games that shows "AMD" run awesomely on everything.

Can't comment on that card myself, or what you're upgrading from, but the difference between 2x 980Ti and 1x 2080Ti was...out of this world. Shadow of the Tomb Raider would barely run at all on my old setup. And when it did run, it was awful. The 2080Ti runs it at 4K, with most everything set to max/ultra.

Intel ma ybe more expensive but sometimes you ge twhat you pay for so being moer expensive isn't always a bad thing.

B8ut it doesn't hav era ytracing or things like that. It's jus tthe mos tpowerful card that my current mothreboard can take so I need a whole new system if I wantto upgrade whicvh is why I'm getting one. Most of the games do run fine on i tbut I will say I do sometimes get a bit of a slow down in framerate in busy areas like in world hub ssuch as the Nexus in Andromeda or Patiti in Shadow. I think htat's partly down t omy CPUas well as it is quite old as well as an AMD as it's an FX8350. My new computer is going to be an Intel i7-9700kf. But having a compute rtha tcan run nice and smooth without resetting itself every 5 minutes will make a nice change. That's a bi tof an exaggeration but it does feel like it as it has a tendency to do that a lo tespeciall yearly no tlong after being powered up. Onc eit's go tthrough tha tit's often OK bu tit can be a pain when you just want to get in and play.

Persona 5 Royal has strict streaming guidelines, one of which is "Stick to normal streaming guidelines, such as do not slander the game or other players.", possibly to copyright strike people complaining about the censorship, which is against fair use that allows criticism/review of products. archive.vn/Njd2L

Yeah just rtied TR2013 earlier on my ne system and it booted up at max without even breaking a sweat. Makes me feel reall yglad atm that I've made the jump now. I get the feeling though that the real tes twill come when I start installing and playing my frostbite games though ME Andromeda and NFS Heat and possibly FIFA as well though FIFA is a little lower spec so might not push my machine as hard. Though I suspect my F1 games will push my machine quite hard. Time will tell though.

Pete Hines @dcdeacon Given the many challenges we're facing due to the pandemic, we [Bethesda] will not host a digital Showcase in June. We have lots of exciting things to share about our games and look forward to telling you more in the coming months.
(I'm assuming this isn't an April Fool's Joke)

(I'm assuming this isn't an April Fool's Joke) Given the rep that Bethesda has as of late, I hope for their sake. I want to see Fallout 76: Wastelanders!
