Well, if Musk wants to put his money into making AI slop ... I guess there are technically worse things he could be doing with it?
I love the 'games have pronouns now because they're owned by big corporations' as if Microsoft or Sony as corporate entities give a single shit about trans or enby people. Or as if independently owned Larian doesn't also let you play as a they/them if you want to.

Cyberpunk passes the 30 million sold mark WOOOOOO Those numbers always seem both bigger and smaller than I expect them to be. Thirty million is obviously a lot, but it still feels weird that on a planet with over 8 billion people, only 30 million know what I'm referring to when I talk about Cyberpunk 2077 (which may actually be more people than know what I'm talking about when I mention other geek stuff I'm into... O.O)

Not purchasing the game will be considered a violation of his free speech rights.

There's also a rumour floating around that Musk is thinking of buying Hasbro, which would be extremely inconvenient for me personally. Never mind D&D, I don't want to know what he'd do to the toy arm.

They better hope CDPR doesn’t screw them over next time.

Not purchasing the game will be considered a violation of his free speech rights. As opposed to Disney which blames everyone who didn't watch their latest show of being a [insert word]phobe when it fails? You either make a product people want to buy or go out of business, this ain't a charity.

Never mind D&D, I don't want to know what he'd do to the toy arm. Hasbro has been trying to kill DnD for years even without any potential Musk intervention, including trying to implement a far more restrictive license before it got leaked and a huge backlash came about. Their toy division has been losing a lot of money. And even though Magic only makes about 20% of the overall revenue for Hasbro, it's practically the only reason it's staying afloat because Magic stuff is extremely cheap to create.

They better hope CDPR doesn’t screw them over next time. Stupid behemoth GTA. It tracks favorably with Skyrim though, Skyrim having sold more than 60 million but being out for 3 times as long. GTA is on another level. I think the switch to Unreal Engine 5 will help them there. The thing about proprietary engines is everyone you bring on board has to learn it, which costs time. With Unreal Engine 5, as a studio, you can bring in people when you ramp up that already have the knowledge which should help the game release in a more timely fashion. Also you don't have to spend resources building an engine. Bioware's doing the same thing with Mass Effect 5 which is an incredible move. Also the hype generated from the Witcher 4 teaser was Bethesda ES6 like, even though it's years away.

The Motherland's take on War of the Worlds.
Interesting premise, serviceable gameplay and a nice allegory to the chaos that was 1917. Ambitious indeed, maybe there is hope for Russian VG studios.
