A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @machinegames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @lucasfilmgames. It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!
Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games have announced a collaboration on a new Star Wars game. Development on the project will be led by Massive Entertainment whose expertise and talent will be used to create a story-driven, open-world experience within the Star Wars galaxy that will also utilize the studio’s cutting-edge technology and advancements, including the Snowdrop engine.

"This is the beginning of a long-term collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm Games, and we are pleased to be working hand-in-hand to build upon the incredible legacy of Lucasfilm to create a game that we know Star Wars fans will love." Hope they're not trading EA exclusivity for Ubisoft exclusivity.

After my experiences with Division 2, this is going to be a faster pass then Battlefront 2. At least Battlefront 2 I saw the game before I decided to pass on it.
To note in my 007 example - the license remained exclusive, it just shifted owners. Since Activision obtained the exclusive license, EA couldn't legally sell their 007 game if they finished it
They also didn't think it was worth spending the additional budget to strip out the licensed elements of the game to release on its own, which is why it was cancelled
None of this applies to the recent Star Wars thing (as far as I know) - the license in 2023 and beyond hasn't been noted as exclusive, and you'd think that would be something that Ubisoft would want to advertise were it the case
This may be a stupid question, but does "XBox exclusive" really mean "not on Playstation" these days?
For example, while definitely not every game on that list rings a bell, I'm pretty darn sure that I already wishlisted Warhammer 40k: Darktide on Steam.

Yeah, and vice-versa, but esp. for XBox. If it's a game on XBox, you can assume it'll also be on PC. We've also had PS exclusive announcements that we know will also have a PC version. Though they may/likely be timed exclusive.

What Hrungr said, Microsoft consider XBox to be a platform that include PC. Microsoft pretty much force devs to release on both now. The app you use to play the Gamepass games on PC says Xbox in the title and use the logo even.
archive.vn/YjmLi Damn gamers!, we can take over congress but we can't even go to EA HQ and make them remove the lootboxes?!?!, we have to get our priorities straight. I bet the people that stormed congress didn't like DA2/ME3 either.

Sony is starting to want more PC games as well.
Yeah sounsd like it I'm hopin that's a good sign fo rth eHZD series given it wa srecieved well on Steam and I think I'd like to play Forbidden West eventually. It' sdefinitel ya series I could get into on PC anyway. No ts omuc hon PS as I'm not very good with a controller.
But yea hXbox exclusive pretty muc hmeans Xbox and PC these days especially thanks to Microsoft's apps in Windows 10 such as the MS store. Hav an accoun ton there mysel fin fact as that's where I've got m yForza and Halo Wars games from.

Yeah, its funny with the amount of people "rejoicing" that EA has lost the exclusivity license. In reality they haven't it just looks like from what I am seeing that Disney wants to have more games come out and in the current state of development that is going to take more publishers making the games so they won't have an exclusivity license going forward. Personally I don't see this as any great improvement just because I am skeptical that the hope that a smaller developer would be able to make a Star Wars game would be able to afford the demands Disney would put upon it. After playing both The Division and The Division 2 and Massive being the ones developing this game I don't see it being without the same level of controversies that EA has had. I think if Massive was part of EA I think the Division franchise would be criticized and a punching bag just like Anthem from how its been handled and buggy the game continues to be.

Yeah I think it's more they'er just giong to allow moer people to produce sStar Wars games in tha tboth EA and Ubisoft can now make Star Wars games. Just like EA and Konami can make football games. Not sure how I fee l about Ubisoft gettin ga license tbh as th egames I've got from them don't always run tha tsmoothly on my system. EA's games generally on the other hand have ran fine even Basttlefron t2 and Jedi Fallen Order do. We'll hav eto see what they come up with before I decide it's wort h my time though.

MauroNL @mauronl3 More details about the next game by Playdead (Limbo, Inside) can be gathered from a new job ad. A Technical Director job listing describes it as "a 3rd person, open world, science fiction adventure built for multiple platforms on UE and published by Epic." Two new artworks:
Not much else is known about this mysterious game, but it is confirmed to be (partially) funded and published by Epic, as was announced in March 2020. Limbo was released in 2010 and Inside followed in 2016. Playdead does not apply crunch as is stated in another job ad:
"At Playdead, we are a team of 50 creative professionals. Our approach to development does not include crunching towards arbitrary deadlines - instead, we look for people who enjoy managing their own schedule and thrive on working within a friendly collaborative environment"
