I just checked online, what materials it takes to craft some of the items

weird thing I noticed - for example the Advanced Adept Enhancement (I could need that for the pistols of my Smuggler & Merc):
- 45 (rating 228 - which I can craft myself) just needs some grade 10 tech parts, underworld metals and assembly components - no problem there
- 46 (rating 232 (?!) ) already needs a Void Matter Catalyst - I don't do operations and I guess it will be rather expensive to buy on the GTN



I will check tonight, what I could need from your list @damion
definitely need some stuff for my Jedi Sage - she was very unlucky with the RNG so far (NO set bonus pieces while my lower GC-ranked JK has 4 and even my Smuggler, rank 7 already has 2 ... I think BW really hates the sages - they also got nerfed pretty badly in 5.0 )

Loved playing my Operative in my guild as a heals, but that story... just not my cup of tea. Alas, for the faction imbalance, I loved my Pubs way more than my Imps, but I played Imps all the time. Well, I played some of the Pubs on the Ebon Hawk, but they were not actual story characters, just toons.

Oh, I know. Most players like it. I simply have a different taste than most.

I haven't played all male voices yet (except Euan Morton's Sith Inquisitor) or really explore all class story (ie: strictly LS/DS). For now, I like all class stories to really have favourites (I generally like all force users stories more) but that's probably due to my preferences to play whatever and however I like... so I don't get bored easily. So I'll do a little review instead.

Jedi Knight

Pretty basic "Chosen One versus Evil" story that reminiscent Luke Skywalker and the Emperor. Some parts reminds me of KOTOR, but its not Revan. I like that DS can be pragmatic and aggressive but most of the time the whining reminds me too much of teenage Anakin. I have a love-hate situation with Kari Wahlgren's performance, she have this really sunny Gossip Girl-ish voice and not really this powerful martial artist that I want her to be.... so conflicted... wished it was Laura Bailey instead.

but its a class that Bioware recommend for everyone to experience especially hyped as THE Outlander because according to their data, its the top class EVERYONE play... but story-wise it flail... especially Knight significance with Vitiate's post-SoR as it make the ending of Chapter 3 frustratingly irrelevant... also I romanced Doc... urgh...

Jedi Consular

Famous among the playerbase as being the most boring, dull and "throwing rocks??" class. But... I like it. Consular certainly feels more like a Jedi Master than Knight; bookish, intelligent and bridled with Jedi lore and code etc. Also its fun being a Jedi Seer Sage in the first two chapters. I actually like being the politician and also understand how you can be a corrupted even if you have the best intentions. Years later, I'm still uncertain about bringing any toon onward past class story....I love both my neutral-LS FemSage and neutral-DS FemShadow... but I'm a bloody completionist and perfectionist...

Smuggler

So far I'm only done with my Captain Twi'lek; she's awesome, spunky, great-great-great-grandniece to Mission Vao. Like to sleep em' and leave em' and despise Corso Riggs and pretty glad that we never see him again. Currently happily running some of the trade routes and playing both sides and being happily rich!

Other than as my backup heroics toons, I really have no other plans. Everyone talks about how Smuggler story get shafted and didn't make sense in the new stories... I like Smuggler being the way she is... not save the galaxy like a watered down Han Solo. 


Trooper

While I could barely stand Mark Meer as Male Shepard, Brian Bloom as Male Trooper fills the void nicely. I could listen to him reading a phone book out loud and he would layer it with a touch of sexiness, mystery and raw masculinity. Brian Bloom would be amazing as Shepard, alas, that didn't happen. But I just started rolling male Trooper fairly recent so it will take a long time for me to focus on building his story.

I love my main Mirialan Trooper but somehow whenever I start playing, I find its hard to not just replay Mass Effect trilogy over and over again... I love Hale, I don't really feel she's amazing as a Trooper than as Satele or Shepard. Playing her made me miss seeing Shepard's vulnerability, miss the camaraderie, miss Kaidan.... hmmm...

Sith Warrior

Personally, Sith Warrior's class story is really average sith backstabbings and countless betrayals but the overarching storyline build up slowly and by KOTET, its like everything is connected. Also I love accidental anti-heroes without the "savior of the galaxy" nonsense. While its fun being a bloodthirsty Sith Lord terrorising the Republic, its just as fun proving that you're unlike any other Sith... having free will and no chastity vow is a plus. 

I adore Natasha Little, the voice actress for female Sith Warrior (her real voice is a lot softer though). I actually have two more SW females that look the same as my main Wrath, mostly as spare heroic characters (because I love credits) and the idea of deleting my Asaj Ventress gives me hives.

Sith Inquisitor

I love how superbly talented both actors can be with the role and how versatile it can be; you can be either a former slave trying to prove their worth, a warrior with a code, a hungry Sith with lust for power, recognition and knowledge, a tyrant, a psychopathic former child sex slave who hate men, a saint, a brat, a chav.

But I know its a fan favourite... I thought the story itself was predictable and you need to do a bit headcanon to make most things work. I particularly hated the idea of a bunch of creepy dead dirty old men inside the head of a girl....  eurghhh....

Despite being a mirror to Consular, I find Inquisitor's politics of power is quite one-dimensional. Everyone worship on your feet and was at awe at your power but to what end? Pissing off Thanaton? Laugh at Zash's failures? But I love Valkorion's comment about you being a lone Sith bloated with power.... because that's a good description. Frankly, it does feel so much fulfilling to be a power-hungry DS as Inquisitor than as a Warrior.

Imperial Agent

Another fan favourite with talented people like Hawke and Jonathan Strange abandoning magic for Bond-like espionage and conspiracy and arch-nemesis and multiple outcomes. Much like Trooper and Shepard, Agent have military background but not enough to turn you into another boring Pierce and Jorgan. 

At first I have fun being an Imperial loyalist until I was railroaded into wanting to be free and not following order and rules, the sith are corrupt and so was the imperial intelligence and politics and more crazy siths and super weapons... and I do think Rogue One is the proper expansion story for Imperial Agent.

Bounty Hunter

Similar to Smuggler, you are being railroaded into this big game while indulging a semi Bobba Fett fantasy. But since you do have various connections with Siths, from Darth Tormen to Darth Marr to Valkorion to Arcann to Vaylin, it actually make sense that... you're really moved up. Or not. 

Okay, another class I won't push further beyond Ilum. My Hunters are fine men and women who don't give a rat ass about Malgus or Makeb or Revan or Vitiate or bloody Zakuulans. They're happy with their friends in a ship somewhere, terrorizing the galaxy as they should and death marks on seven systems.

So, instead of spending hundreds of dollars gambling on hypercrates, you can now buy items directly! Just $60 for one lightsaber!

AND YET.
I've talked to several people in the game who bought it.
More money than brains, as my dear mother likes to say.

See, I want to encourage direct sales. Death to RNG! But I most certainly do not want to encourage the stupid price gouging RNG has created. Not even a little bit. Hundreds of millions of credits or $60 bucks for a shiny? They can sit on it and spin.
