Missions + NPCs
Corrected a variety of typos in Mission descriptions.
The Nar Shaddaa Weekly Heroic Mission will no longer auto-complete upon pickup.

The walker required to complete the [HEROIC 2+] Shiny New Toy Mission on Dantooine will now always spawn as intended.
Corrected an issue where the Balmorra and Taris Conquest Objectives were not able to be completed during the Pirate Incursion Event Conquest.
During the Bounty Contract Week Event, using the Interrogation Probe will no longer make Shady Characters invisible
Players can once again reach Grim Tooth to earn progress towards the Monsters of Makeb Achievement.
Aric Jorgan can now be returned via the Companion Locator Terminal in all situations.

but I think you are right - looked like Scourge & Kira to me
I never finished the macrobinocular-Shroud-quest-thing - but I usually accept the missions in order to get the macrobinoculars & digging thing (useful for the GSI-stuff as well)

I never finished the macrobinocular-Shroud-quest-thing - but I usually accept the missions in order to get the macrobinoculars & digging thing (useful for the GSI-stuff as well)
Where do you pick up the shroud quest? I’m not familiar with it. I know there were quests to look for hidden spy bots ages ago? |

You are thinking of that right things, but there are a few things that aren't quests that requires them in-game (mostly spotting things for achievements) and in those cases you need to have one of those quests that grant them (they are in the quest item tab). I haven't checked the new content yet, but needing to get the macrobinoculars to find the mysterious observers was mentioned on Reddit so I mentioned it here.

Kira and Scourge, I hope there will be a good story along with it as to why they didn’t participate in fighting the emperor etc.

you need to lure out and kill 2 officers, yes...
on the right you see the Yavin Dailies listed, the second from the top is highlighted (you can see the scan area on the map, south of the training camp) - so, as soon as you accept the daily (in the coalition staging area) you have the macrobinocular on your inventory under mission items

There was a SWTOR SDCC cantina presentation last night. I didn't watch it because I was paying attention to the Marvel (crazy) announcements (both comic and movies) and I had guests at home. Others did though and we got some concept arts and a telephone stream video. edit: Forgot there is a month long of double rewards from July 23rd to August 20th. They also announced that once Onslaught launch, F2P content will expend to SoR. |

MMObits provides some very useful and interesting guides for the upcoming Onslaught Spoils of War gearing changes that are currently live on the PTS: 6.0 Operatives6.0 Snipers
here is an overall list of all the set bonuses - there are some general sets as well: 6.0 complete set bonuses list
remember, this is all subject to change
my personal impression so far (on gearing and other potentially coming changes) - put them in Spoilers if you want to find out yourself: - set bonuses, tacticals and what not: a bit overwhelming - there is so much to choose from now
 - but are there some gems - one can only hope that there won't be too much of a nerf hammer
- there will be a seperate crafting inventory (you can drag'n'drop farmed materials into it - quite nice QoL change!)
- RE (reverse engineering) has also a seperate window where you have to drag'n'drop the things you want destroyed - quite nifty as well!
- high end crafting on the other hand is expensive to do now, takes lots of materials, grade 11 missions take long and are expensive...
- the cost for materials that the little jawa scrap vendors sell now scales with grade (aka 1 green/blue/purple scrap per grade 1 material, 2 green/blue/purple scraps per grade 2 material and so forth) grade 11 materials is 200 scraps each - hope they change that but you do get jawa scrap from RE'ing so maybe it will be ok

I only really looked into the Assassin and Scoundrel stuff since if I give in and come back, I can only really see myself playing my two mains at this point. The Assassin Hatred Tacticals look...confusing (and one references Force Storm, which as far as I know is Sorc only?). Like the one where using Leeching Strike buffs your next Leeching Strike, but stacks 3 times...does that mean you have to equip 3 of the same Tactical, or what? And does it increase the Force like it suggests? I'm all for variety in builds, but it feels like I'd have to completely relearn everything with some of these. That's pretty nuts.

Classes and builds have less or more stagnated since 4.0 was introduced 4 years ago this December... As for your question about the tactical item, it means that the Hungering Blade effect triggered by the tactical item stack 3 times. To achieve that you need to crit 3 times in a row with Leeching Strike during the duration of the Hungering Blade effect. The increase in force cost is clearly to balance out the cooldown reset and crit chance increase. But keep in mind all those things are subject to change before the expac release (and probably after too).

It's not bad. But for some reason it's not what comes to mind and says Star Wars to me. I might grow to like it but that'll take awhile I think.
