Well its been almost a week without playing Anthem. I think about it a lot, watch vids about it, but just haven't played it in awhile. Was binge watching Stranger things for the past 2 nights and playing the new content on BL2. I just want to know the game will be supported. EA's CEO came out now for the 2nd time since E3 and mentioned the 7-10 year window, but it'd sure be nice to know for sure. If they're banking on drawing people back with Cataclysm I wish them luck as that won't do it based on what I saw of it during the live stream. Anthem will be an after thought to most people once the fall games come out anyway. Do those of you still playing only play Anthem, or Anthem the majority of the time? I may currently be an Anthem addict - there is really no good reason for me to log on and do tasks for coin daily, but I do, over and above other games. IT'S WEIRD!!!

I'm usually playing only anthem at the moment. I go through binge phases of playing 1 game on repeat for weeks (months 😂) at a time. But I'm not playing every night, or for more than 2 hours at a time. It'll probably continue for me until cyberpunk 2077 comes out.

Today in Anthem I changed my Interceptor's armor and mixed it up with 2 pieces of different armor sets I recently bought. ALso played some legendary contracts solo and just finished a GM3 Tyrant Mine which took pretty long because the team wasn't very strong overall (my Ranger included - compared to my Interceptor that is).

When you start free play, pick the strider closest to the fort. Upon spawning, go toward the Arcanist tent to the north, on the edge of the cliff … jump off the ledge to the Arcanist spot below (careful not to land on the grabbits) … turn to the right (east) and across the falls, there is a space below you … often an Arcanist encampment, sometimes other things. Maybe half the time, it will spawn either an Arcanist or a Sentinel collectable.
For Dominion … got to the farthest northwest strider … the one Brin's contracts typically take you to … go fight the Dominion spawns in the area … look for the Dominion intel that spawns after a fight … almost every time.
For the Scar, go to the eastern most strider, fight Scar … like Dominion, find the intel that spawns. Also, for the strider closest to the fort, a Scar spawn exists just to the west … another opportunity … to the north of the strider location, past the falls, but prior to the next big series of falls … two Scar encampments (if you don't want to take on the Scar in their big eastern enclave).
For Outlaw … Honor Valley, Howell's Tower areas (the terraces) … great spawn points for Outlaws … head west of there for another Outlaw spawn point … after you've done those three, go do a world event, then return, the Outlaw spawns will most likely have reset.

The wife and I went out to dinner last night and the whole time I'm thinking "when I get home I'm going to launch Anthem and do the Legendary missions until I get a lime", as I currently have NONE. Before I get home my buddy calls and wants to play Destiny 2, to help him level up in the new season. 6 hours later it's 4 in the morning and I haven't played ANY Anthem, sigh!!! Oh well, there's still today I guess...

That's what I used to do with Destiny up until a few months ago, everyday I'd log on and do the daily tasks and then wonder why I'm subjecting myself to this ridiculous grind. Destiny still calls to me when I'm playing other games. It is weird how games do that to you.

Tried this tonight, was very helpful thanks! Luckily I've only got 2 groups left so hopefully wont take too much longer. I managed to grind out a few rounds before anthem caught on to me and only wanted add to that terribly large grind collectible . Played a couple of strongholds with some good teams until the tyrant stomped me...that was embarrassing.

I'm letting anthem rest for a while and playing mainly ESO now. ESO and WoW. Those two have been severely neglected for a time so it's only fair.

Played a lot of freeplay last night. Finished off one of those intel rubbish collectibles. 1 to go...only 14 more 😂. Anyway made a new friend who followed me around for a bit until I pulled a bit of a mean move by doing a sneaky u turn and lost them. It wasn't on purpose, I just realised suddenly I was going the wrong way 😇. Did a couple strongholds, had to solo the first room of sunken cell (what a pain in the ass!) until another player joined in and kinda hid from all the enemies. Luckily someone else came a bit after in time for the puzzle rings otherwise I probably would have given up.

I got in a couple hours today and did 2 Legendary story missions in GM1. They were not easy but I did have one other person helping. My Storm is so damn weak, armor wise. I didn't get any lime's. Question. Is getting lime's totally RNG or do they come from certain activities. I had thought I'd get one for doing the Legendary mission but did not. It's a whole new world of difficulty moving up from hard mode to GM1!!!

It's a whole new world of difficulty moving up from hard mode to GM1!!! It is RNG. I sometimes went for over a week without one, and at other times got one every stronghold. Developers still don't understand that RNG isn't a good distributer, because - opposed to natural randomness - a computer's randomness is actually that: random (and kind of not, since it's a PC and can't "choose" random numbers, but that's astory for another day). As I said before, do legendary contracts on GM1. There, you'll get guaranteed masterwork components. Once you have a couple of these, your flimsey-ness will improve. Finally, as a storm main, I can give you the tip of moving. Move move move. Even when hovering, always move. You're the most light armored javelin of all. Imo, for rebalancing, they should up the shield bonus you get while hovering, but ah well. Also, equip any +X% shield weapon/gear you have. I would go for anything between +100 and 200% shield (don't buff armor, it's useless on storm, instead, equip emergency power; that way, everything you get hit out of your shields and your armor goes down, it's meteor time!)

Speaking of Storms being squishy... a couple of days ago a friend gave me a link to a video and that Storm was basically invincible on GM3. I think I built mine the same way then (even though I mostly have masterworks instead of legendaries) but I really can't get into playing Storm. Last night I played some GM3 freeplay with close combat focussed Storm who used melee a lot. That looked like way more fun than hovering around all the time. Maybe I need to try that.

It's not that difficult to build an invincible storm, actually. But it is more of a single-target build, and I prefer mass destruction Equip the radiant fortress and acid slugs, this way, you can both debuff, prime, and regain shield. Equip hailstorm's renewal, so that you can kill an enemy and regain 75% shield, and freeze an enemy. Equip glacial spear (or burning orb, whatever your fancy) for detonations. I'd also use ranier's blaze so you can still do the fire-ice continuous combo's if necessary. The trick here is that you single out enemies one by one, and stay more on the ground as your weapons / gear is more suited to close range combat.

Hmmm, I need to find Legendary contracts then. I did Legendary stories and thought that was what you were talking about previously. Hovering in "hard" is definitely a cake walk compared to GM1 and I do find myself moving and getting in cover a lot more than I did before. I'll check and make sure I have shield bonus's set as well. I'm pretty sure I was doing the opposite and buffing armor. I have no lime components yet so have to wait for those. I watched the vid of the Storm in GM3 wrecking crap all over the place and his super recharging almost instantaneously after using it. RNG is not good to me, yet that is. I have 8 MW weapons but no MW components.... Update: I just read up on how to get Legendary contracts to pop. I'll have to see if I've completed all the agent contracts, which I guess I have not yet. Thanks for the tip!!

In the mission selection, pick "Change Mission" … it will bring up the map, pick one of the purple toilet paper (banners … ) contract … you'll get three per day. One down close to the fort … that's Yarrow's contract … typically outlaw focus. Then one near the center … overlaps a yellow toilet paper contract … that's Mathias' and typically the easiest of the three. Finally, in the upper NW corner of the map, the final purple toilet paper … Brin's contract … often the toughest one and lately, seems to have the three events divided up between outlaw, Dominion and Scar ... but hers mix it up quite a bit. Once you complete the three LCs, if you pick Random Missions in the mission selection, a lot of times the random mission will end up being a legendary contract. Of course, since they're random, they can be regular contracts, legendary missions, story missions for folks doing the story … but well over half are folks doing legendary contracts. You'll get your MW components up to speed in short order. Legos are … another matter.

I discovered those armor and shield bonuses from weapons REALLY matter the hard way. Swapped out one of my guns to get some extra luck, and wondered why suddenly in GM2 Strongholds my Interceptor kept getting quickly offed. Looked at the armor bar after a couple of completions and realized it had relatively fewer segments. *Scratches head* "Wait... Isn't that bugged anyway?" *Shrug* Swapped out a weapon, and mostly am now back to normal. How does this game not yet have a statistics summary screen to display your javelin's current max armor and shield amounts?
"Mostly" back to normal, because on Interceptor I seem to be unable to triple dash (unless I start flying as well), which is an annoying restriction when facing the Sunken Cell boss.

So I put together what I had for the Storm, then headed into GM3 freeplay. Then did a GM2 stronghold and after 2 more legendaries dropped in here I ended up solo in a GM2 Temple Of Scar and did the whole thing until someone joined at Scelos. It kinda felt like cheating compared to the Ranger and Interceptor to be honest. If only the whole movement and animations weren't so wonky and weird. Also don't like the sound and that stupid cape. Is there any way to get rid of that? Any armor set without it maybe?

The cape is 95% of the storm’s attraction!!!

Sorry, don't wanna hate on Storm players, but I'd like him better without a cape. I'm playing with 2 primers + weapons and only melee as detonator right now (might change depending on drops) and the cape looks kinda silly and would be more of an annoyance than help. Might be different if there was some special move like with the Batcape which temporarily can knock enemies back or stun them. I don't know... I want him to be more of a kung fu mage, so more combat oriented looks, less fancy cape stuff

Although, I'f you're going more for the support style, then I'd see something like ice storm and shock burst being useful.

Thanks for the info I checked the map and found a Legendary contract for Yarro. I guess I have to finish the other 2's regular contracts for them to become Legendary. Anyway, I went out on the Yarro mission in GM1 and got my first ever MW component, Tome of Precision, power 61, and raised my overall Storm level to 478. It boosts my elemental damage by 40 pct for 10 secs after I kill an enemy. Not the best I'd imagine but my first.

In the mission selection, pick "Change Mission" … it will bring up the map, pick one of the purple toilet paper (banners … ) contract … you'll get three per day. Update: the best one is the one that adds lightning damage to your combos. Combine that with the lightning strike’s mw property of increased lightning damage when hivering and...voila.
