No cosmetics.

But I guess they may be tied to some challenges and they can only be erned in season. Is this not true? I've been playing the hell out of BL3 and haven't checked in in awhile.

You can still play the cat, but the crystal world events, storm anomalies, etc. are gone.
Some of the cat story missions are now showing up in legendary missions.
The cat-related daily and weekly challenges are gone.
The seasonal store reopened, plus the crystal currencies reappeared on your screen while in the fort.
Given how bad the pugs got toward the end, not sure I want to pug a cat, but doing one a day, with friends … that might be okay …
And a way to slowly flesh out missing lego weapons, gear and support gear (with decent or even god-like inscriptions).

Yesterday, my luck was ON FIYAH! Don't worry, I'm still quitting, but I'm just slowly winding down. And before I quit, I did wanted to get my thicc boi a bit up to legendary status like my storm and ranger are now. Them combo 'splosions need to be at maximum strength! I'm learning to play as a colossus more and more. And liking it too. Anyway, I did a cata on gm2 first. But it was only me and one other guy. Was a okay run, we netted 6.6m crystals, but it immediately made me feel so bored again, that I couldn't do the cata anymore, even if stronghold rewards are less. From the cata, I still needed a couple things at legendary: - earthshaker for colossus - transmuting volt for ranger So out of those 11 boxes I could get, I got both of these from melee chests!!! And the inscriptions were even okay-ish! And I even had 5 crystals to spare XD I was pretty happy with that flash of luck I still needed some support items so I tried for those, but no luck anymore. I still needed a lemon voltaic dome and some lemon components for colossus, so I just did quickplay stronghold. First one dropped me in tyrant mine. It's hilarious to just venom storm EVERYTHING! 1 drop: a +325 damage renewed courage!! One of my favorite guns and a crutch for my ranger (due to badge of devastation and focused freeze)!! Super stoked about this one. Second one dropped me in heart of rage. Only one lemon, from the monitor. A GODDAMN VOLTAIC DOME! Shoop da woop! Had to quit after that, but it was a really good haul last night And enjoyed playign as colossus. I'm learning the more intricate gameplay of the javelin (like using the primer fire melee to prime and immediately shield melee to detonate, or starting venom storm from hover and then falling down to cover a much larger area). Good stuff. Only the interceptor I can't seem to like :/ Which reminds me, hey XCTPNL, did you ever make 20 mill?

Which reminds me, hey XCTPNL, did you ever make 20 mill? We didn't really try anymore the last evening before it ended. Pretty much because it also seemed highly unlikely to get over 20 million without farming turrets. As far as I know the top group are the only ones who did that (a run over 20 without turrets) and it was before the JW nerf although with the Last Show Inversion and some good Shard Storms it could have been done again maybe. I got some more tips and was shown how to get Vara into her faster spawn cycle by skipping some of her attacks. But farming Vara wasn't my task anyways and mastering it to perfection in just a few hours was nothing we were looking forward to.

Played some more collossus this weekend. Got some new stuff like a 200% damage ralner's blaze which was long overdue. Oh, and a softened blows with like 80% armor and shields, that was nice!
I mostly played quickplay gm3 strongholds, which almost always immediately finds a game. But even so, I do have the feeling the playerbase is winding down a bit. Rightfully so.
I should stop as well... but I CAN'T. STOP. VENOM STORMING!!

fired up Anthem this weekend and it took forever to load into FT ... but my PC was probably shocked to see me again I checked and no more prison door indeed so I just bought some war chests (got 2 limes I didn't have) and large crystals (what a pain to convert them one by one ) but the store was kinda bugged - when I got impatient and clicked somewhere when the store was still handling my purchase so to speak I got thrown out of the seasonal store and put into the "normal" one and the seasonal was greyed out ... had to close and re-open then it worked again... weird. haven't launched any missions/catas/SHs though - yet - maybe I will later this week

The population is definitely taking a nosedive. Whew. Even quickplay stronghold on gm3 is become rarer and rarer. On the other hand, I found a lemon endless siege, which is now my favorite (anthem) gun... ever, even without inscriptions What an absolute monster this must be at god roll!

sooo today in Anthem I finally got a legendary Varra's Wraith - even with 225% elemental dmg - which is good me thinks?! I've been sifting through my open challenges - cudos to all of you who already finished the Champion of Tarsis challenge! I am not even close it looks more like I just started anyhooo - the Challenge of Might is almost done and I was wondering if you pros could point me to a location in freeplay (an area, a cave...) where there are lots and lots and lots of elite/legendary outlaws (the only faction I still need to complete)

Personally, I like the Yarrow legendary contract … a lot of times, you will get a challenge (like helping arcanists in trouble) that involves a hack objective. I stay out of the hack circle and farm outlaws … works for elites, works for the weekly factions … but lego outlaws? Not so much … usually a very limited number of legos on GM2. OBTW … set your lego contract to private … both to keep all the outlaw kills for yourself (bwahahaha), but also so your teammates don't defeat the tactic of staying out of the hack circle to farm elites, mooks and the rare lego outlaws. Sadly, some of the objectives (like destroying outlaw caches) don't spawn infinite outlaws. Freeplay:
A friend of mine likes to "mine" the Necropolis. I've used it before, but once you tap it out, you have to go a ways to find another outlaw spawn. However … it IS a good source of at least two lego outlaws per episode.*
A place (places) I go to are the terraces … there are two outlaw spawns … one on either side of the stream … plus one that is west of the terraces. I just look for the purple markers to show up in those areas and farm them until the targeted outlaw is killed and the spawn ends. Then I go to the next location and repeat the process. After completing the third location, I go look for a world event … that seems to reset the spawns and I can go back and start all over again. Terraces are east of the Tarsis mission start point (which displays as a strider, but isn't). Fly past the Korox shallows, bend 45 to the right, fly up the falls … the first outlaw camp is there, with the other two just a bit further to the east. The two on either side of the stream sometimes spawn an outlaw/skar mix, but the third spawn point to the west is almost always pure outlaw.
Another outlaw spawn point is north of the Tarsis start. Just east of the river, prior to the falls that form the southern boundary of the emerald abyss. Just prior to getting there, you will pass a scorpion spawn point … and if you go too far … you'll hit another scorpion spawn point, just prior to the falls.
Finally, the Academy ruins generally spawn outlaws.

I use Necropolis as well to get the Outlaw kills. It's right next to a strider so pretty easy to get this going quickly.

Today in Anthem: Anthem had begun feeling like a job , so I started playing 'Thronebreaker'. Something completely different, but it feels so refreshing. Thrilling, even, simply to use my brain and to experience storytelling again! After this, I have Hellblade, Quantum break, Inside, Technomancer and Destiny 2 new light all lined up from free games with gold or super cheap sales that I bought earlier. And maybe by when these are finished, GoW5 and MHW iceborne will be on sale or something. Goodbyyyyyeee Anthem (for now)!

Yeah still on the fence about technomancer. If I play it, it's only because it was free I'll see when I get to it. maybe checkk out a gameplay vid first. Edit: Checked out a gameplay vid, it's kinda mass effect meets dragon age at first glance. Seems very janky and a bit aged? Maybe I'll see if the story captivates me at first and if not --> scrap it from the list.

Backtracking in the second half is the worst part of Technomancer indeed, so skipping some fights is a good way to go I only discovered it was possible on my second playthrough, but at least now I know it's a possibility and used that in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

The last few days I've been grinding out some of the remaining challenges. Completed the last weapons challenges aside from Autocannon and Grenade Launchers, then did the 2 remaining gear challenges for Interceptor and then proceeded to do all of the remaining gear challenges for the Ranger. It really isn't much fun and rather tedious to to so much freeplay to get events done. Yesterday I finally decided to do Colossus challenges and what a pain in the ass that is. He is soooooooo slow, can't even dodge, the abilities are mainly just things that cause you to not see anything anymore and even with a super shitty build he is just op as hell and requires absolutely no tactics or thinking.

Fly in, get tickled, hulk smash, repeat. EDIT; OR: don't fly in, don;t get tickled, venom storm, repeat. Exactly. Requires no strategy, no thinking, no health management (how do people actually manage to die in this?), no gameplay skills whatsoever - it's just totally stupid and on top of that people also use macros so they have to do even less. Every other Javelin requires a variety of skills depending on playstyle, gear and build. But this one... I'm even more tempted to put every Colossus I see on my ignore list from now on. One of my RL friends started playing months after release and plays Colossus and now I can understand better why I was able to drag him through GM3 so easily to level up faster and get more loot quicker shortly after he started playing.

Yeah the unfathomable was a beech the first time I did him as a colossus. There was a lot of janky flying sideways and shield holding and praying pleasedontkillmeplease.

I did the same thing months ago, coming back to Anthem for a bit to play Cataclysm's story. I've been playing Borderlands 3, Gears 5 and Destiny Shadowkeep since then. I still don't feel I got what I wanted out out Anthem and maybe some day I'll be back, but if Cataclysm's player base is like it was a few weeks ago I don't want to play it anymore. I'll just stick to Free play or other activities. I thought toxicity only existed in Destiny, but damn, I was wrong.
