Today in Anthem

On a positive note, I see my decision to come in to work today was the correct one...

I played for two hours, then had some issues, but now I'm back in. On PC. The first time it was daytime in the game, but now it's night time. Also insde the fortress all the little lights are now on.

I did some mission stuff, then tried to freeplay. But as soon as you pick up a quest or smaller event while freeplaying, the game comits to that one and won't let you free explore anymore.

I also did some customization, which is pretty cool because you can not only choose the color of your armor, but also the material. Nice touch.

Combat isn't my cup of tea so far.

I've managed to make it through 2 missions now...2nd one was crazy fun and way more challenging than I anticipated. Same problem loading back into Tarsis at 95%. Probably going to have to kill it again and suffer through multiple attempts to get back in.

People on Reddit are reporting starting COIN from 100 to 3800 and everything in between. Looks like either some debugging code didn’t get disabled or RNGesus is looking out for you.

I am, however, beginning to question my PTO of Feb. 22nd. 

But on the other hand, a Friday off work is never truly a wasted day off.

However, I'm thinking I'll only make one token effort to try and log into the demo after work, then move on to ESO. I have a guild auction to conduct later tonight anyway, so perhaps tomorrow will be a better demo day...

haha. I wish I had something to press. My destiny characters are all at 645 power level. Might have to actually log in and grind powerful engrams to get to 650. Was hoping to wait till after the demos so I had something to do.

Well, I can see that the only thing that IS available in the demo is "infinite loading screen".

Made it through #3.

I kind of feel for the infrastructure guys at Biower today. No doubt they are working all weekend for this demo and I can only imagine the kind of pressure they are under.

Then again, I remember that it's EA and suddenly don't care as much.

Just posted by Xbox support on twitter. They were retweeting EA help. "Our login services are recovering and we're seeing improved stability. We are still looking into other service issues for Xbox One users, and we'll update you here when we have more info."

Few more tries for me then I'm going to bed. Hype totally gone for now. The disappointment is real.
