I very rarely see higher level players using storm pact, more people seem to wear urgency. I get that it's probably safer, but is urgency considered to have the higher dps output?
What are you wearing if neither of those two or health?

Pact belts become less effective with high willpower, so at one point you will deal only 10% more damage, maybe even less. They are are for people with lower willpower since they can almost double elemental damage IIRC (calling Silversmurf to elaborate since sis willpower is so high) Urgency is good on Reaver, Legio, Katari, Silent Sister and Skywatcher if you can maintain guard. Arcane Warrior can also benefit from it since he can maintain his barrier with higher stats, with other mages with barrier it can be a bit tricky.

I only get an extra couple of hundred damage per hit when using pact belt now. Not worth it. Extra speed is much better dps for me (and feels more fluid and fun too) Plus you can really add to EXP tagging everything quicker, more frequent chain lightning for example.

Interesting, I suppose the devs saw that people with thousands of willpower would be one shotting bosses with auto attacks and decided that was a little too much.
Happy to say that the pact belt is still nearly tripling lightning attacks for me, so I'll stay squishy.
Instead of making another new thread, I'll ask here while I have your attention. Is there a resource for calculating xp? Say I have 12k left to promote, I'd like to know how many perilous/nightmare doors I need.

Is there a resource for calculating xp? Say I have 12k left to promote, I'd like to know how many perilous/nightmare doors I need. No need to over complicate it. Just find the amount of enemies you need (not doors) Eg. If I needed 12K. Each HB mob is 225xp (+75exp) with barrier. Divide 12k by 225 to get number of enemies you need. Then just watch your killstreak, then die. I'm so lazy now I just count roughly in my head 1k 5 enemies, 5k 25 enemies etc. Not exact but suits me. Or use a calculator if want to be precise.

Thanks, counting enemies is the obvious way to do this with some accuracy. I'll have to make note of the xp per mob on perilous and nightmare as hb just takes too long for me (if I survive).
Downloading Anthem demo now, soon DAIMP will be nothing but a happy memory!

Downloading Anthem demo now, soon DAIMP will be nothing but a happy memory! Everyone comes back... You are correct Sir! I get sidetracked by other games (new season of Diablo) but I do gravitate back to DA just to kill stuff. The grind is over but the game is still a solid pleasure and in my opinion the best multi-player game available because of the variety of characters and their abilities...nothing can match it!

Urgency, that is the one where lower health means higher damage correct? no wonder that one guy kept yelling at me for always using the healing font for him.

Something like that, at less than 50% health you attack faster (unsure how much faster). I use it on my Legionnaire and have probably not yelled at anyone, much

Was slightly embarrassing to be killed by a single arcane horror barrage having cast chain lightning to kill a pot. Risk/reward. I'm just grateful that at least one of the fat little dwarves could be bothered to pick me up

I tried a lot with the urgency belt. On AW i prefer stormbelt. because more xp with the storm belt. I see the different very good when i Play with a friend.

More exp cause it's slower casting and more enemies get to hit you BUT that can work in your favour depending on your levelling strategy I just drop to a Blizzard's Path and Urgency Belt. Loads of exp.
