i don't even know how you guys solo Plat. I managed another Gold tonight with the Drelldept which i had never done before. CMSG with AP ammo . I also normally use an Adrenaline mod but i put on a cyclonic this time . Did it really help i dunno, i still finished with 4 gels left ... and zero missiles since i got targets on wave 10. Devices on wave 6 got dicey at some point ( a static drell dies so fast ) and i had to nuke the area clean . Cyclonic on a drell character is pointless.Use power amps or adrenaline module.On an open maps AM and on closed use PAM.Also,soloing is something very different.Some people around here love to solo(me  and some other guys and gals),but most of the players don't like it.If it steals your fun,just don't do it,'cuz the games are for fun.When the game was released back in 2012 i was just like you, thought that i will never handle plat difficult even in a team game. i was doubtful about the Cyclonics but tried it anyway. Cyclonic on a drell character is pointless.Use power amps or adrenaline module.On an open maps AM and on closed use PAM.Also,soloing is something very different.Some people around here love to solo(me and some other guys and gals),but most of the players don't like it.If it steals your fun,just don't do it,'cuz the games are for fun.When the game was released back in 2012 i was just like you, thought that i will never handle plat difficult even in a team game. i was doubtful about the Cyclonics but tried it anyway. For instance, I know I will complete more Platinum solos in the future, because I have been training for it. That said, I would never do the N7 series on Platinum - I cannot stomach that much practice. i don't know if "everything" is possible but many things are indeed. And i admire the guys who do. Still i doubt i will ever practice enough to attempt Plat solos. to quote Muahmuah the fun factor is the prime reason to play and trying Plat solo would bring forth my filthy mouth demon more than i like. |

Using a cyclonic i did "next of kin" first take!! you see, i was ready after dying on all the attempts i had before using my usual adrenaline module.
In solo it did a slight but crucial difference i did not want to believe to.....
Wont use it on team though

I finished a difficult solo yesterday. N3.3, Gold. The day before, I had played one game, and failed the same solo on Wave 8. Yesterday, I was determined. I knew I had time to play one game only, so failure was not an option. Wave 3 devices, didn't need a gel or ops pack. 5 waves survived. I died stupidly after finishing the hack on wave 6, which almost made me ragequit, but I calmed down and remembered resolve. Got lucky with Pizza on Wave 10, and played ok afterwards despite using my last gel. Used last ops pack on 11, and then ran around like an idiot until the timer ran out. For 183 Pushups, I used the idea of resolving to do another pushup. That analogy was helpful to an extent for this solo, but I had to abandon it as you cannot kite on Jade like you can on Rio. So, muahmuah quoted Clusum and I found what I needed. "Kill them dead." It worked. It is a kill or be killed solo. Satisfying to finish it. |

Wave 1, wait til you deplete the budget. They all go melee mode. Kite them in a nice loop to this place. They come either this side or from the right. Good luck I know about berserk mode, thats when i try it, they are just so damn aggressive with me Spot is no easy to go without getting hit in that beautiful moment, but works better thanks. Well wave 4 is already a worse issue anyway  btw, when/why do an atlas replenish its health i never found an answer Wave 1, wait til you deplete the budget. They all go melee mode. Also check docsteely 's N7 thread, recent pages have a bit of overall strategy for that challenge, stars aligned there with 3 of us finishing it off not so long ago.

Thanks mate. Not done yet, haven't resumed my tries after that day but will soon By far the most difficult i've done till now, can't imagine the rest of the challenges push me so much, even with those w10 needed I've seen couple of the best playthroughs, but doing it yourself is another story. Oh and im doing it wintersoldier style  |

Successful :/ 42mins and change
I had a very nice N4.1 going, 5 waves survived, Pizza wave 3 was ugly but no ops pack, wave 6 was targets so easy with Drill Javelin... But I got happy with a Marauder and Banshee and maybe 1 other, and got downed. So much for my first 10WS in the series.
Wave 10 escort was a mess, but overall this was another very easy solo in the series, just took too much time. Oh well, I move on to 4.2.
GI is also, alas, OP.

Pug refused to gel on wave 11, so I rageleft and start a platinum solo instead. Quarian Female Engineer/Adas/Disruptor Ammo, preset White/Collectors, first time with Armored Compartments. Wasted 2 gels on wave 2, then 5WS medal until wave 8 were I trapped myself between Primes and other enemies. Gelling was pointless, so Hackett sent me into mission scrubbed land. Easy escort on wave 3, targets on wave 6. I bet RNG was ready with devices on wave 10. The Adas is quite bad against Praets  |

They are coming... I do these Krogan (and a Mission 10 Juggy fail) plat solos to clear my head of the N7 Challenges... Glacier/White is so simple, Reegar is point-and-click, just gotta watch out for Phantoms otherwise the biggest challenge is good spawns for rockets. I have a couple wave 10 fails with the AJA fairly recently, but I really am focus on the N7 series right now. Speaking of, I just failed N4.2 for a second time on wave 10 after successful objectives (escort, unglitched hack) where I ran out of goodies. My build is bad for soloing, have to respecc again for this series  It is good though... Testical Scam blows hairy balls. |

I'm a bad person, double posting. I have reached N4.2, just finished that damned Hydra in 30:49. Wave 3 Targets, I get the 2nd Prime clustered nicely and let it rain Boogie Grenades That switched the target to Rocket Troopers, which spawned nicely nearby and lonesome. Pretty darn good. Then 5 waves survived. Wave 6, Devices. I say, ok. One ops pack. Wave 7, they got me once or twice. Wave 8, they got schooled. Wave 9, they got rocketed (very effective, but no ks  ) Wave 10, Pizza, both spawned near LZ. Got to rocket kill the double Primes to close the wave. Wave 11 typical shenanigans, but I got out with a few gels and that's a good day. Also, one of my better times in this series  Edit: oh crap. Four Gold Medals.... I better check on that, frakk. Edit 2: Hooray! headshots, kills, tech kills, and pistol kills. When I finish N4.3, I'll upload submissions again. |

I got killed. Should have been my first 10WS in the series. So much cover, so much shields, so much Raider.
Teh Stunlox got me, maybe wave 7.
5WS/2KS/3WS/Gold Completion/Full Extraction
5 Grabs, 50 Melee Kills, 75 Kills, 20HS, 75 Shotgun Kills, 10 Biotic Kills
I guess I'll be doing that one again.. it is another gimme in this series, and I'll take them where I can get them!

Melee drell guard on glacier First vs reapa : that was a public lobby but nobody joined, is that a common feature on gold now or a lolorigin problem ? (that s my first lobby in months). Anyway, that was going well until a destroyer pug joined which made me waste my last consumables on obj waves . second vs cerb: i was not going to make it, but at least i got my melee badges faster than the biotic one... Meleing ravager/brute/banshee to death is fun but tedious . Got no pug again |

Broke my machine?! ???   I loaded up Windows fine. Started playing a solo, N5.2 to be exact. Felt confident and a little drunk, it was gonna be gud. Recording is on, video is incredibly laggy and just so bad, I'm like wut am I on MPApr2012 's host doing this solo Reboot.... Uh oh.... CPU overheat! 3 keyboards installed ??? I did just install a new keyboard, but I uninstalled Razer Synapse, entirely, before any of this, as I upgraded to a G513. Neat.

EDIT: I have repaired the rig.
My CPU radiator was clogged as hell. Looking at it after trying to blow it out, I decided @fuckit and bought a new cooler.
Total PITA to install, as the instructions screwed me by prescribing a stupid build order. Remind me again why I read those damned things? :rage:
Anyways, my system is running very quiet and cool again, which is nice. Now, I have a bunch of Phantoms and Goons to troll, so I'll come back with a new post if anything good happens.

Hi, I am the scrub that posts here Wave 9 fail, Cerbie Reactor Hazard Gold. Too many bad choices. 35:26, would have been a decent time. 5 gold medals, 3 waves survived (part of the problem lol) and 1 killstreak on 8. Had 4 rockets left for possible wave 10 Targets, just couldn't stop dying too regularly. Not bad for the first try in a couple days. I'll give it another go in a little. Gotta eat. Edit: today's fail - unglitched hack successful, mission 10 failed with 2 rockets left and 2 ops packs. 39:30, all mission objective achieved. FML. Pizza Devices Hack. |

N5.3 5 waves survived. 10HS, 10 Melee kills, feels good. Die to a stupid Phantom DR-flip-to-palm blast, followed immediately by a Nemesis to the knee. No problem, I gel and kill them, Phantom with classy melee. Feels good. Wave 7.... Yeah, I've been running and gunning in a big circle, all game. Abusing muh Blades. The Engineers said lol. Fission Mailed. Many more attempts. Just now a wave 6 fail, rolled Devices on 3 & 6, finished the last device and was done. I should have just quit. Got stabbed on wave 9 in between. Good times  This is both an easy and hard solo... Blades dominate, so does an uncamp-able map. ************* Days later, I have a lot of near misses. Most frustrating was a Phantom stab with time running out on the last wave 10 device. 34:20 had a gel, 2 rockets and an ops pack left. She kinda just came outta nowhere I have had Devices Targets Devices, Devices Escort Devices, and Targets Devices Devices. RNG, lol... |
