Just wondering everyone's thoughts on Origin Premier. For the $99.99 a year you get all releases free, and sometimes early. I mainly game on Xbox One X, but am always looking for more reasons to use my MSI Laptop. With Anthem coming out soon, and many other titles available with Origin Premier, I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the service.

After doing some math on the price of EA games I am going to play in 2019 and previous EA games that I want to try but never felt the price was worth it, I got a year subscription. To me it's a good deal for 8 bucks a month and I already have a good number of games I tried and many that wait their turn.
The library gets bigger regularly although many of the old games they add are probably not optimized for current OS. It would have been an amazing nobrainer deal if they worked on old games like GOG does.

It's a gamble. You don't know what you get. How good it is. It kinda makes sense if it includes old games you might want to try out too. For the future releases this is basically early access without having early access. In essence it is just there to keep you on their platform.

I would say it depends on your playstyle. For me I generally only buy BioWare games from EA and play them on and off so I think still buying a copy is best for me. If you are a person that plays a game for a month and then stops I could see having a month by month membership and cancelling when you are done with a game. If you buy multiple EA games a year then I can see the yearly membership working out for you.

The price difference being a little more than the full cost of a game ($30 vs $100) there's a good catalog of older titles that I never got around to trying. I don't buy THAT many titles at full price, but I'm totally willing to have access to a the older titles. If I just play a little while and say "eh, this isn't for me" I feel I've gotten my money's worth. With basic I still had both Anthem demos and I'll have 10-hours full-game trial on the 15th.
