I have to admit, I'm actually mildly concerned about the large increase in companion dialogue. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about having even more interaction with teammates.
HOWEVER.
I feel like this could potentially be more indicative of the division of the word budget, rather than a 20% increase in total script size. If that's the case, giving companions more dialogue would come at the expense of non-critical NPC dialogues, leaving us with an unpalatable DA:I situation where the sidequests are boring and empty of meaningful NPC interaction. After DA:I, I think I might be willing to sacrifice some companion content to bring the other content up to par.
Fingers crossed that they just spent more money and we get more of both.

Just a piece of advice, but these threads would really be improved if you would post as small summary of the points in your video, for those of use who don't have time to sit through it all. Good job though.

When you mentioned about having romances with characters that weren't squadmates in the trilogy, you forgot to mention Steve.
Regards to all the extra dialogue for squadmates. I like to see more dialogue for the crewmembers on the ship that aren't squadmates as well.
About the trophies. I like for any online trophies not be required to obtain the platinum trophy

Remember that he had compared it to ME3, where squad\crew did not have much lines to say, so the increase in 20% does not sound like a huge amount, really. ME3 has enormous amount of 'unseen' content (potentially dead characters + their backup characters), but during the game there's not much to see\hear from those you've got. And most of the times they don't even switch to the dialogue mode.

Bear in mind, he said that the character with the fewest lines in Andromeda has 20% more than the character with the most lines in ME3 so that would be more than a 20% increase over all.

Re: trophy & achievements suggesting work is almost done and the game is being polished.
Your speculation is contradicted by sjosz's tweets, which suggest he's actively working on level design and development. If the game is in polishing phase, new levels wouldn't be in progress. Unless they are DLC.
Re: Initiative patches
So do you think the Andromeda Initiative is a new patch of a separate initiative, or is it the replacement for the Pathfinder Initiative? A later iteration? That's what I think, they changed the name over the course of refining the story and made a new patch to match.

Not sure what you mean -- unless you are just repeating my own point, which is, sjosz's tweets about working with a writer on a level could be for a DLC. But more recently, he's been tweeting about fixing P0 issues. Assuming P0 is the highest priority, that means they are issues that are fundamentally game breaking, like crashes. That's not polishing. The game isn't working right yet. And reading between the lines, he has a lot of P0's to fix.

Ah, yes... the famous Word Budget. I expect it to be increased in specific areas, such as the romance arcs or in the squad mates dialogues / banter. Also the top quests will be propped up with back stories and dialogue.
Then again, the game will be cut to pluck out the independent DLCs. So maybe we won't be suffering from a "War and Peace" story telling syndrome.
I guess it depends on the initial difficulty selection before the game starts.

The game isn't working right yet. And reading between the lines, he has a lot of P0's to fix. The gaming industry seems to like to refer to bug fixing crunch time as "polishing" though. I know someone who worked at UbiSoft's QA during the development of the first Watch Dogs game, and when that game got a six month delay for "additional polishing", it was actually crashing all over the place. "Polishing" sounds so much nicer than "we're doing overtime because more bugs than Klendathu". It's probably better for shareholder blood pressure, too.

Fair enough, but fans shouldn't buy into or use that same misleading language. Biofan saying "being polished" and implying the game is almost done is going to unnecessarily disappoint fans who get their hopes up for a Christmas release. Despite Bioware sticking to early 2017 consistently. We're several months out, according to the best guess ship date. If it ships March 21, submit for certification should be about 6 weeks before that. Which means we're almost 4 months from the game being done. I don't think most fans looking at the video would translate "polishing" into 4 months.

Witcher 3 was "content complete and in QA/polishing" for six months, so it's not completely impossible, but I agree with you. That is what I meant to say with my post, maybe not very eloquently. Don't think "polishing" means "it's practically done and we're just making it extra shiny".

Thanks for posting the video. Really looking forward to N7-day I like the family in DAII so it will be fun to have the family-experience again, we will see what they make of it. Since companions is one of the things that I really enjoy ingame I am happy that they will be given more content.
