New player, Asking for Tips!

You can find lots of good suggestions and builds by digging through the threads. There are also dedicated threads with builds and tips.

Few things were nerfed; Walking Fortress is most noticeable because it doesn't give 1 second cooldown on hit anymore, but it is still good to use on Legio. Other nerfs aren't game changing so builds are still good to go
Saarebas is the same as she was when she was introduced. I wrote detailed offensive build as well as detailed support build:

I don't know where you're located, but I play pretty much every day at all sorts of hours. Shot you a friend request.

For Perilous and below you can go with Spirit Blade/Stonefist, Chain Lightning, Pool of the Abyss and Fade cloak.
With that setup you can survive, deal nice amount of damage and be good crowd controller.

If you want to bring him to Nightmare, then take Chain Lighting, Fade cloak, Stonefist and Dispel/Fade Step.
Dispel can do wonders against Venatori; it will help your melee teammates since it will dispel all mines casted by Spellbinders. Qunari can be problem since Assassins and Saarebases are immune to spirit damage.


You can go DPS, support or mixed with Zither. Which one you prefer more?

I'vs been wanting to use stonefist and pull of the abyss but i havent found a way to use them. Right now im using Chain Lightning, Fade cloak, Fade step and Spirit Blade. Going to try out Chain Lightning, Stone Fist, Dispel, Fade Cloak soon. I want to try out the combo. EDIT: Not really liking Dispel, maybe im using it wrong? Traded out Dispel for Pull of the Abyss..it with Chain lightning and stone fist is just so much fun!

So far ive tried DPS Zither. I've loved it but i die pretty fast haha. I feel like if I get some heal on kill rings ill be just fine im not sure where i can get them/ increase my chance of getting them to drop.

Build with Dispel is more oriented for Nightmare runs with low stats. It is more effective to dispel barriers from enemies than destroy them with attacks, not to mention dispelling Spellbinder's mines. Chain Lighting followed with Stonefist is great crowd control combo since it will put multiple enemies to sleep when they are clustered together. You can then use Dispel on them for nightmare combo.

Thanks everyone for all the tips. Just finished my 1mil xp for mages now onto Rogues! If anyone has a favorite class to play please let me know im still trying to pick. Assassin seems fun so far Alchemist is also cool. Im playing the Hunter the most right now. Also the Duelist seems crazy strong.

Mainly looking at learning to build Alchemist or Hunter right now If i had to choose, I just love Elemental Mines.
