Long time no see, nice to hear from you again. You would be surprised how many people still plays this game and how many non cheating newbies is here. Huh, you're right. Just downloaded the game again and started a quick public perilous run. Had three people join in by stage 2.
Anyone up for grinding nightmare dragons? Still don't have that Hakkon greatsword. My Origin-ID is Cirvante.
I'd love to grind some nightmare dragons with ya but I wouldn't be much help haha!

Not new, but sort of feel like it since I started playing again. Figured I would just put some questions here instead of a new thread. I have tried searching for a perilous game a couple times and haven't seemed to find one. Don't know if it is my ISP since I have moved and have a different one since the last time I really played. How easy is it to find public lobbies in the US (Eastern) time zone? I had been killing time just leveling the Silent Sister in solos, but that is kind of slow and inefficient. I played one solo with the Reaver (Level 15 or 16) and I had forgotten a couple things that bothered me on her. First is that her movement speed feels too slow outside of Rampage, especially if enemies are panicked. Or if try to be lazy and not panic, jedis like to block nearly everything. I was running Dragon Rage, Rampage, Combat Roll and War Horn. Do most use War Horn, or is it more popular to keep Devour or Mighty Blow? I don't have much in the way of end game gear, so no Physical Immunity to let me skip Roll. I had been running her with the Dragon Maul since I could use crafted accessories on it and it has the highest base damage of my 2H weapons, but that lead to another irritation with the maul swing speed and hit characteristics. Wondering if I shouldn't go with an axe or sword. Edgewise is the highest base damage edged 2H I have. I don't know if it is worth it to lose Dragon Rage damage though.
I had the 200HP belt on her with double Crit dmg rings and Stamina amulet. Not sure if there is a better way to equip her (I have an Urgency belt I think). I only have 47 ish Con (120 will, 103 cunning).
And although not a real question any new player might have, I don't suppose anybody managed to make a mod that lets you select the enemy faction did they? Getting certain factions 10000 times in a row isn't fun.

War Horn is great with Deathblow passive for players with low cunning. Deathblow passive will grant you crits against panicked and sleeping enemies. I would suggest you to use this a bit more, ditch crit chance rings for crit damage rings and you will kill faster. Like you said, Combat Roll is good for people who don't have PI amulet, since it will interrupt negative effects such as stun and knock off; it isn't mandatory on Perilous and below, so you can keep Devour. Devour is nice to have against shielders, you can kill them with it only by hitting their shields and because you didn't hit them it won't trigger cooldown, so you can use it multiple times until you kill them. Belt of Urgency is nice speed up, but I wouldn't recommend you use it still. It will only speed you up when your health is below 50%, so it is better to use Rampage/Dragon Rage combo with Flow of Battle passive, since it will reduce your cooldowns 1 second by critical hiit and since you auto crit on panicked enemies when you have War Horn and Deathblow, you will have all your active skills off cooldown by the time Rampage expires.
There are probably less players now that Anthem is out. Also, no mod for choosing a faction, so you are stuck with RNG.

Yeah I was running crit damage rings on her. I do generally go with the build as posted earlier in the thread as far as passives.
Yeah Devour is good for shield guys. I sort of had to get all their animations down to do the solos with the SS though, so I am sort of just used to baiting them to swing at me. Of course if you Panic them it isn't a huge deal.
Also was messing around with the Lego a bit, but there is another one where I can't really settle in on a build. I have the Hakkon sword, which along with Siege Breaker change made me want to drop Walking Fortress, but I haven't really ever found anything I like to replace it. Counterstrike seems like the duration is a bit low. I like to keep Shield Wall on for animation canceling and support XP. I don't really like Lunge and Slash as much as just upgraded Payback Strike and Shield Bash.
***
I didn't really contribute much besides questions, but going back I do have some comments about some of the other builds.
Besides something relatively obvious like "arcane warrior" for low promote, there are some things I remember about being low stats with crap gear as it relates to some of the builds.
First off is the Archer, where Longshot is thrown in there. Really the best thing it does for a low promote player with a low damage bow is aggro half of the map. I guess if you have high promote team mates it doesn't matter, but maybe consider skipping it for Knockout Bomb. Also Caltrops aren't too bad in the current state of the game. Of course since this guy is sort of squishy, probably better with halfway decent crit, and a whole lot easier with something like Heartstring.
I don't know about Reaver for low promote, low gear. But I had halfway decent gear after they buffed it with heal on hit. People said things like "better tank than nerfed Lego with Edgewise" but you have to have Edgewise.
Arcane Warrior is probably the safest bet, seems like if you can pick up Heart of Pride relatively early it will be nice. I think I played him a long time with Fury of the Veil though. I would probably just go Chain Lightning, Fade Cloak, Fade Step/Stone Fist/Blade skipping PotA. Especially if you are grinding promotions because PotA is too far down. I run the CL and Barrier rings on mine since I have only really played solos anytime in the past couple years, don't know how long it takes to get those on a new account.
Also, although Sleep is nice, would point out that might be worth it for early players to avoid that and open with Stone Fist to weaken groups before hitting them, at least with the restore mana damaging weakened targets passives since you need to spam more abilities to kill the mobs when damage isn't there from low staff and low will power.
I just run Silent Sister with Throwing Blades, Charging Bull, Hidden Blades and whatever. The whatever often is War Horn, but it can be Spinning Blades. I did notice that roll is not needed to level her up for me solo so I skipped it. Of course I can spare Healing pots if I really need to get up, so there is that. At low level a CC cleanse would be nice, but can't really afford it. She is a lot more tanky after the first guard passive and Bear Mauls the Wolves of course. Especially since BMTW reduces all flanking melee-range damage to 1.
Hunter Build already posted was something I ran a lot when I started out, and I thought Hunter was cool. He seems to have gotten a little left behind after the buffs and new characters though.
OP probably already got it all sorted out though, so my rambling probably wasn't necessary.

I used it a lot when I was farming NM FC in my early days. OP probably already got it all sorted out though, so my rambling probably wasn't necessary. New ideas are always welcome. Even old ideas from new perspective.
