Went gold pugging, but left the first lobby I found because the people had too low of CPs, too bad of weapons, and no equipment whatsoever. Waited around a while, then tried again. Guess whose GIP I landed in? Yeah. Yep.

I spawned in on the first wave, just after the others had all died. The first wave. I thought, "This isn't gonna go well." But I had the Valkyrie TGI and a Cyclonic IV, so I decided to see how much luck I would have carrying.

I can tell you the exact moment I realized how much of a chore this was going to be, though: right at the start of wave 3.



So yeah. Any gold game that ends with me scoring over 200k is a game that has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

To their credit, while the pugs were incredibly good at getting killed by Phantoms and Turrets (and Centurions, apparently), they at least avoided getting missiled or stomped by Atlases. Also, they were mostly victims of the Phantoms' ranged attacks, not their sync kills, so that was at least fixable. But mostly I was just glad that one of them survived through wave 10 while I took care of the device objectives tbh. And we ended with a full extraction! That was a pleasant surprise.

Nobody is going to believe me but I'll post it anyway, because it was that weird. I was pugging last night, and the 4th to join in GIP was Alientech, on w2 iirc. S/he didn't participate in any missions, BUT, and this is the one you won't believe: he did not go around shooting at teammates! Instead, just sat in cover at the LZ of Glazier for the whole match, and even shot enemies. Not much, but saw some killfeed, and bronze kill medal. And didn't play juggernaut, either.  I was so surprised that I forgot to record a video of it. 
So, this is now the 2nd odd-encounter where he plays differently to his usual MO. The previous similar one of mine was the one some months ago, that he actually put a jugg shield in front of me while I was doing a device on Dagger (yes, I remember it that well!).
And, this time he even stayed for the full game, and extracted.

Then he was probably playing N7 Destroyer. That was his "somewhat decent" mode, as opposed to those times he's playing his Jugg and shooting other teammates. Haven't seen him for quite a while, though.

Started to search for a random lobby. Somehow ended up as a host. Welp.. works for me. Started the session nicely, coz eng59land was there to help. Bugz got freezed and reaved. Nice and smooth game.

I know that belongs to a different topic, but there was a guy, who stayed for another round. We landed on Rio, where Cerberus already had their party. We found out that they didn't have a licence for alcohol, so they had to be shut down immediately. They didn't even have credits for paying the fine! Oh you sons of submariner - we thought..

then we started our dance.


Cerby had some smooth moves too. Gotta give them dat!


This is proper teamwork! One is disabling device, other is protecting. Take that fraggle!


And the most funny thing. iOnlySignIn tried to join our party several times. Sadly Rio got Condor'd and nobody could fill the 4th spot.
When I told my companions that it's bugged, my fellow Volus said - I know, I just want my revive medal.

Joined Plat lobby with my CAR wielding TSent. Host was No7Germany or maybe I got that out of order... Playing a nice Reegar Jugg built for survival I guess.

He tanked the field, I sploded the things, the other PuGs were ok and turrible (strange wave 9 ragequit as we had been reviving it every wave (Council Race revives thanks to you kid)), but we managed to get through pretty painlessly considering my low DPS gun.

I am on this path, maybe one or two challenges left, wave related. Talon is one of them, I despise the kit.

Vanguards and Engineers are now at ~ 103 promotions each, while all other classes are at 107 or completed in my version of N7 Mastery, at 108. Like you, pugging off-host Vanguard waves go a little slower due to fear and loathing. Engineers I guess I played so much before the challenge system that I just have played the other kits more since. Engineer was my crutch, Vanilla Female Human Engineer Carnifex is love, is life!

IIRC, Talon waves were the fastest to finish. If you preset White, a rare game lasts longer than 15 minutes on gold and usually under 20 on platinum regardless of pug effort. That is with thermal clips of course. This character is completely broken overpowered. I think, I finished the waves within a couple of days and never touched him again.
