Just one quick pug game, with random people, who apparently came back to the game after some time (or are still playing it!). Despite being laggy (even to the point of having teleporting enemies), I had a blast with this match. Well, maybe a couple of days off had something do to with it Anyway, big shoutouts to Modeus555, visiteurdufutur1 and scristini! that's some real hard to spell names

PS. It was actually even more fun, after some, so called BSNers (sic!), told me that they won't play with me, and in short - I should go love myself instead!

Could be true. Maybe someone who hasn't played the MET find it entertaining.

I don't want to be too critical about something I've only spent an hour on but I will say it all feels very generic with no character. Where is the screaming Banshee and chest pounding Brute? The exploding Atlas and abomb? Taking casualties, amateur, textbook, kssk loosing pressure and asarigasms?

All the fun things we enjoy in ME3MP are lost. As I said, I only tried it for a short time but I found nothing to replace them. The vertical maps and jump jetpacs probably have some potential but it's lost too if the most succesful tactic is camping.

PUGGERNAUT!!!!

Dropped my Turian Sentinel on Cerberus/Condor, as soon as I enter I noticed that IdjitHunter was carrying the match. Things went fine more or less, then on wave 8 the whole squad died except the Puggernaut. Of course he meleed everything on sight, he did a good job until the Atlases. He trapped himself near the LZ.



At this point I was thinking "well, he will use a missile now, right?" Wrong. He meleed them for 5 minutes at least, SpaceDogAttack left the show, same the other pug who pugged us back right before wave 9, lol.
Wave 10 was hack on the open spot near the LZ, the krogan charged 2 Phantoms and, of course, he never came back. Me and the juggy managed to complete the job but it was a mess. But this time the Puggernaut spent some missiles to clear the circle!
We got a full extraction.
Back in the lobby, I noticed that both the juggy and the krogan were low manifest with no equipment whatsoever. They readied up again, a Turian Saboteur joined us, I took all my gear off and readied up with them. Sported the Salarian Infiltrator/Black Widow since I was ready for a fast wipe, turned out that I'm not so bad as a sniper and the turian pug was pretty decent. Nothing much to say about the match, Cerberus/Giant is not a bad combo. The krogan died at the very start of wave 11 and right before the extraction something strange happened: a Phantom sync'd me but after a second I was alive again without the Ops Pack trick. An Atlas near me fixed that, though.

Exasperating.

First match was spent carrying some low-level PUGs on Goddess (which is always where things go wrong for me) vs Cerberus. They died constantly, seemed to have no concept of prioritizing enemies (if I spend all my time shooting Atlases I'll get more points, right???), let turrets get set up everywhere, and to top it off this godforsaken volus (I'd name and shame if I could remember their handle, since they always play this kit and always suck) kept spamming SB every three seconds, even when no enemies were in sight. That includes between waves, y'all. Then we got to w10 pizza delivery, where everyone kept dying and I was forced to completely change my route to the opposite direction, but was cut off when the PUGs brought the enemies to my side of the map, presumably trying to help """escort""" me. Got ten feet from the LZ before getting stunlocked and then stabbed. Last remaining PUG finished the objective and immediately died. Great.

So then I decided to cleanse myself with an easygoing bronze match (not really intentionally--just set the difficulty to "any") where I did nothing but melee some geth and inconvenience my teammates by venting the reactor core whenever possible. That was pretty relaxing.

But after that... I wound up in a GIP again with the same fucks from before, minus the inept volus. I decided it wasn't worth my time to take the match seriously, so I continued going around and punching everything, because that's where my heart guided me. The PUGs were doing better this time anyway, which made me wonder if they just suck against Cerberus specifically.

Except then they had the nerve to get executed by Banshees, forcing me to do the one thing I didn't want: take the match seriously.

As if they hadn't annoyed me enough, during w10 devices they kept running over to me while I was doing the objective, because apparently the concept of not leading the enemies directly to your singular useful teammate completely escapes them. I'm amazed I didn't get annihilated by Banshees or Brutes.

I'm a simple girl. All I want is to rocket punch some mooks and elbow Banshees to death. But these LZ-camping PUGs are so incompetent that it makes me feel an unwanted sense of responsibility to keep the team from wiping.

pain...as in a pain in the brain as in my usual thing i bitch about in this game, use of missiles.

Decent team gold, cerberus, giant. last objective wave, devices. one guy get phantom gibbed, i used i think 3 missiles, all of us go down except the geth prime. He completes the last objective but essentially melees about 40 enemies. We get to extraction and of course the missiles come out.

Chaos.

Booted up for the first time in what feels like a year to empty lobbies, almost no one playing on Gold, and those who were playing quit when the going got tough or simply didn't belong on the difficulty. The only good Gold match I got in before throwing in the towel was against the Geth on Firebase Jade, and even then I must've gotten around twenty revives due to people not keeping their heads down. I miss the days when I could reliably get into games with people who knew what they were doing.
