*****Your last Pug in one word*****

A lot of suspect modded games that I hear of these days: one-shotters, invisible players killing stuff, etc. Why would anyone want to play the game under those circumstances?
I don't get it...

This is not going well. Coordinates are Noveria, Collectors are pushing hard. They are everywhere. I'm stuck with teammates who are on their very first mission. Who assigned me in this hellhole?! Someone who wants me gone, for sure. My thoughts are now so loud in head:
"Hey you, buddy, turn on the distress sig... nevermind, he's dead"
"No, don't use powers on flying Preatorians!"
"Shit, intercoms are down, I would tell them newbies how to get into uploading circle or how to use medigels"
"It's an op wave, please everybody get up, can't save all 3 of you at this moment. No? And another one bites the dust"
"You and me are all who are left alive, cadet. Do NOT shoot that A-bomb, I'm going for the last pizza"

What on earth are they doing playing on plat? Even I score better than that.

Just played that last post video and then realised that someone next door is having their very first trumpet lesson - it has to be their first, nobody plays that badly ever again. Anyway, ooops, they've gone quiet.

The rolly pollies are good on gold with no fitness and AMIIIs, which is generally what I'll use on them. Good positioning, cloak, and a good weapon is all you really need to get by on Gold. Occasionally I'll use a PAIV on the Engineer because he's a beast and you can get a lot of debuff going on with Recon Mine and Proxy. For Plat I'll use a CMIV. I generally use light, strong weapons on them like Arc, Wraith, Piranha, Lancer, etc. Others work well too like PPR, Carrier, Venom. There's a couple for the fun of it builds I do as well like:

Spitfire Volus or CLAYMORE Volus or Typhoon Volus, this one is courtesy of Voluptuous Volus and a lot of fun, especially if you get Geth. There's also the nut puncher Volus, but I have yet to use the Protector.

I hate Platinum.
Got into a Gold GiP with good players, extracted, then went to change my character to Slayer (with the suicidal Charge/Talon/PD build) and missed the moment when lobby got changed to Platinum.
Thankfully, the players were so good that they managed to carry the game despite me falling victim to "gunned down - got revived - got immediately sync-killed" routine around 3 times. I did my part, of course, mostly setting off biotic combos, but it was a dismal experience.

Regret

Haven't played in forever and even though I should be asleep I foolishly decided to play one final game with underwhelming PUGs. It's bad enough RNG stuck a broom up my ass with Collectors / Hazard Dagger, but neither of my teammates seemed to want to kill anything and were more interested in eating dirt. Had an Asari Valkyrie teammate who had a very daring strategy of running into a pack of bugs, clicking heavy melee, then dropping to the floor. The other PUG was AFK half the time but I didn't notice when they weren't tbh.

I get us to Wave 10 to make some money and both of them decide to treat medigel like toilet paper in Australia and hoard that shit at any costs. I was capping the 2nd device solo when a Possessed Crab phased a few missiles through one of the buildings, killing me right before I could finish the device.

I didn't even let the game finish and take us back to the lobby. I just Alt + F4'd out immediately.

Holding (the line)

No matches to join so I hosted, loaded up a solid build, and figured I'd solo a bit on Silver. Took my Salarian Infiltrator + Viper. Originally spec'd for the Black Widow, but hadn't taken the Viper in a while, and I wanted the extra power recharge speed. Landed in standard Ghost vs Collectors. Solo'd the first 4 waves without issue. Then the fun started.

1st player spawned in, a volus adept. I was in the sniper spot on the upper level at the back of the map. The volus decided to try to hold the landing pad. Was downed in seconds. Whoever was playing him hung around for the start of wave 6, was downed almost immediately and I didn't run the whole length of the map to revive him so he quit.

2 more players spawned in on wave 7, a human Vanguard and an asari infiltrator with the sniper rifle that the Nemesis uses, forget the name. They also decided to try to hold the landing pad. Down they went. I tried to head there and revive them, got downed in process, so I was like "f--- that" and resumed my hit-and run-tactics. Wave 8, the Vanguard charges right into the middle of a spawn of two Scions + troopers, novas twice, then gest melee'd to death.
The asari tried to hold the intersection above the landing pad, so I joined her figuring maybe the two of us could do it. Nope. Got downed by a possessed abomination. Gel'd, then ran away, soloing the round again. Waves 9 and 10 were a bit better - the Vanguard wasn't playing very smart, but the asari was learning fast, only went down once in those two rounds.

Then wave 11 happens, and - you guessed it - the vanguard wants to hold the landing pad. Died almost immediately. The asari had hesitated at the start of the round, but when she saw the massive amount of Collectors at the landing pad, came and joined me. We spammed missiles en route to extraction and both got away successfully as two Scions and three Praetorians were closing in. About a 32-minute match.

Don't know who those two were - I assume from the way they played that they were fairly new - but that asari player was holding her own by the end. 

Just a honorary mention to Bixo's 200 Hz host (even added it was running at 350 Hz!!!) and his brother watching Netflix the same time :-P

Well i can remember you mentioning it, but some time before because i have already forgotten it, there's a chance i might not be in maso mood  :-P

As for the solution i would search between the fullscreen/borderless window mode and your graphics driver setting for V-synch

I still believe we were capable enough and lag was the main issue. Both issues are too much :-P
