Sigh Tired of MEAMP disconnections, fired up ME3MP. Nice quiet solo, you say? Nope, fuck you. Not only you, ME3/Origin was acting up around the time you posted that, I tried to play and got ME servers offline message when trying to sign in, quit and restarted still the same error, waited 10 minutes and it was okay. Arkhne Yes I would say this is related to Origin, on PC I've had 6 game breaking issues and 2 of these were after the update yesterday. 1 servers offline (yesterday), 3 endless loading screen (1 yesterday) and 2 disconnect from game during host migration. That is in a total of 202 matches played. In terms game breaking errors switching to PC, I can only speak compared to X360, that the error rate in my experience is much lower on PC. How common it appears is part of biased reporting, people are gonna complain about that one time the game screwed them, not the 100+ games played in a row without issues so it paints a skewed picture. Like myself, I have never played it on PS3 but the stories make it sound like Collectors are literally unplayable, and the game freezes as it sees fit. That could be once ever 10 games or 100 games for all I know. I also know the PC superiority rhetoric gets old quickly, I've had most consoles since SNES was new and my first PC was a Commodore 500 (I start gaming young) not a lot of objective discussion happens between the two, and it ultimately doesn't matter as long as we all have fun with our chosen passtime right!

This is probably not news to you guys, but I'm just throwing it out here because I keep reading about strange combinations of N7 level / amount of character points and level of gear: You can't really rely on what you see in the lobby, it's often false. I'm not talking about gear level, I'm talking about N7 level / amount of CPs. First of all, there's the thing where someone leaves the lobby and the bottom players will move a place up. When that happens, the character points and N7 level of the person who occupied that spot before them will be displayed instead of their own. So if you move a place up, you will "inherit" the level/points of the person who used to be in that spot. Sometimes, it updates to the correct amount after some time, but not always! However, that is not the only instance that the wrong information is displayed. It also happens seemingly randomly. It happens to me often that I happen to be the last person to join the lobby, and what it says under my name is just dead wrong. A few days ago I started a new lobby, I was the only person there, nobody had left or anything, and it was just randomly displaying wrong numbers. I can't really explain it. Maybe it has to do with connection problems. Bottom line: you can't really rely on what you see, unless you saw it on N7HQ. All of this is probably old news to you veterans, but I just had to put this out there, because I haven't seen anyone mention this phenomenon. I'm aware of this phenomenon. It will correct itself after a certain amount of time; if you wait long enough in the lobby. However, I have observed the odd low N7 / CP players coming in with X (rare) weapons while waiting for players in the lobby.

Sigh Tired of MEAMP disconnections, fired up ME3MP. Nice quiet solo, you say? Nope, fuck you. I feel like this is a PC/Origin issue. I hear about connection problems FAR, FAR more from PC players than console players. I've also had barely any (nixing actual connection loss due to ISP) in my almost 2k hrs on PS3 (plenty of hard freeze and lolps3 crap though). Anyone else notice this trend? Perhaps the issue is with Origin itself, we know they like to fuck that up with their updates. I'm the odd one out I guess. MEAMP, when I played it, was the most problematic and most irritating. Along with lag, MEAMP has the worst I might add, I usually DC in the middle of matches. ME3MP, not so. Through the years I've been playing it, the number of DCs I experienced is less than the fingers on a hand. I'm on Origins / PC btw. *** Hamster Run Reaper match in tiny map. Luckily, no dumb seeker plague around. Unlucky, one was a asari infil, the other two cannon fodder so I ended up having bosses on my tail all the time in the second part of the match. It was a frenetic dodge and run around the bludy map, like a mad hamster, shaking loose the bosses, frantically kicking marauders and the rest out of the way before bosses caught up to me. I had geth scanner so my TSent didn't die. Most of the time I escaped by the tiniest second from the banshees, trying to run and having glued my butt to some cover. Other times I rely on sound. Brute was approaching but I wanted the marauders out of the way so I simply moved forward several steps while shooting at them. Brute went over my head since I was on the stairs. Bird Perch Collector match in reactor map. Saw the host perched like a turian bird near by the door of the reactor. I don't know how and what he did to get up there. It's not at the door, it's one of the pillars near the ammo box at the reactor entrance.

So if you move a place up, you will "inherit" the level/points of the person who used to be in that spot. Sometimes, it updates to the correct amount after some time, but not always! When that happens scroll right so you can see loadouts and scroll back left and it'll correct itself.

Claymoaaar
Honestly I started using the claymore again after getting tired of the reegar and was reminded why the claymore is one of my favourite guns. Using claymore is just so satisfying. I even used it on the turian soldier and turned the claymore into a sniper and got 1st place with it.

I ran a reactor hazard today where 2 players were trying to kill me inside. Not only did I repay in kind, with interest..... at one point I had a third innocent get stuck in there as well.

Honestly more like why would you not want to roast your teammates in the reactor Wouldn't be surprised if I ran into pugs who were trying their damnedest to get me killed in the reactor, even if it's more impossible than trying to convince bioware on a gofund me page and attempting to raise a million dollars to remake ME3's terrible ending.

Hmm... I just had an odd experience that contradicts prior experience. After concluding a successful game, a host migration occurred in the lobby. When it finished, there remained myself and the new host. I will assume I had my equipment on at this point, but I'd have to check to be sure. Later, after another player joined, the game started. It finished without incident, unless by "incident" you mean "everyone wiped before finishing wave 6 objective" in which case it finished with that incident. When I returned to the lobby I still had the equipment I started with. I know this because I had exactly 1 SMG II left, and since it was still there, the equipment either was not consumed, or was restored. Now, I've seen that happen, but with caveats, one of which is that replacing lost equipment during host migration consumes one of each from the player's storage, with no equipment registering if the player has no more remaining. I have encountered the migration process often enough to know that when equipment appears to be restored, it is in fact still consuming remaining resources. And yet, if I had one left before, I shouldn't have one left after. Especially when the host migration happened before the match even started.

UhhhTeam!?!?! (I don't know to describe my last pug in one word) I swear to god this team at wave 3, it took them an entire minute to figure out, there's this mystical thing called a hacking circle. Like I don't know what kind of game they were playing before ME3 MP. But I know for a fact leaving the 1 guy in a 4 man hacking circle isn't effective And credits just don't come out of a volus's asshole as much as they're greedy bastards, I'm sure as hell they're aren't gonna spare any amount of credits to my other 3 bronze level teammates who may not have figured it out by now that doing objectives gives you credits. Still managed to survive the 11 waves at least.

Played 2 couple of gold and plat games, in which SenorTomate and Attractive_Toast joined. I don't think these 2 are here on BSN, but they surely know their shit.

FeelsTechMan :rage: <---- (Daily reminder that this is the best smiley emote on the Citadel)
Tfw when you wanna play a human sentinel trying to do biotic explosions and stuff like this happens: I warp and try throw for a biotic explosion except: Arc grenade thrown from the heavens. Scumbag sex bot jizzing her snap freeze everywhere and has disruptor ammo. An incinerate comes your way and you get a fire explosion.
I don't know what went through my head, thinking "Today is a great day to play the human sentinel and get lots of biotic explosions"

Carnage. Team got three killstreaks by Wave 3, and only one using a missile. The PUGs had low-level weapons, but compensated with excellent play. Lineup: Volus Sentinel, Flamer GT, GE, Demolisher

Ragequit.
Host ragequit wave 4 and I cleared out the lobby on host selection. "How are you doing that? Are you cheating?" "You're killing enemies in one shot with a Talon." *One or two shots on most mooks with a clear shot at medium range. I told them, "Drill Ammo, Marksman, Geth Scanner. It's easy." *Also, 2 headshot multipliers, max weapon damage from passives, ammo mod and heavy barrel on Talon, Talon's innate 1.5x damage on shields/barriers, and the Talon shoots multiple pellets to bypass shield gate. Guy was following me around at the end.
Look randoms, I don't want to hear any shit from you when you're bringing overkill classes to Gold. Ultra rares at X, Incendiary Ammo IV, A- and B-tier classes with suspiciously low CP (7K and 15K with apparently maxed manifests lol). I was even ignoring pockets of enemies and fighting solo so they would have stuff to kill.
I was playing this class.
Lobby preset to Giant/Cerberus/Gold.

Suspicious
Played at unusual hour, felt like I was playing in glue in a Reaper match, everyone made it out in wave 11. Then I played a Collector match on Rio map which was slightly less laggy. This one, I suspect, had some deliberate fiddling by the host. I was playing a AA with stasis. Generally, normal or possessed abominations frozen in the bubble would not explode if their hp is full or barrier is still up.
I was on the other side of the map, among the large crates, keeping that area clear. In spawned several abos which all immediately exploded when I hit them with the bubble. I never shot at them so I expected them to freeze so I could get clear. No, the moment I bubbled, BOOM. I died of course and gel straight away. I smelled a rat so I was more cautious when more ran in.
Later the match became more intense, I deliberately stayed at that side. When the action came my way, the host and the other (both infils) were forced into my area. When I bubbled the abos, no immediate boom. It was all normal. I can only conclude the host was being an ass with me. Everyone got out at wave 11.

Joined a lobby with a HFE and Volus Merc Sentinel. I've been neglecting the human engineer for a while so this was a good chance to do something about that. Stun locking drones and fire explosions everywhere - great fun.
Had 2 games vs. Cerberus and Geth. Nice to get some payback at those turret spamming engineers and giving the Primes a taste of their own medicine.

Rio definitely has a few areas with weird physics. There's a stretch of the upper left walkway near the middle where I've had quite a few mooks fly sideways off the walkway or even back towards me when I hit them with a ragdoll power. Mass Effect fields!

Some things never change,
I'm amazed to see that ME3:MP still after more than 5 years keep attracting new players, there are plenty of inexperienced and under geared pugs trying their luck at Gold and Platinum.
Tonight I got to play with for example the N7 Fury that didn't seem to think that AF is worth using and that seem to think that camping next to me out of cover while I was doing devices were a great idea, I got knocked off the same one twice from Atlas missile splash damage before he/she finally seemed to understand what was happening.
It still feels like ME3:MP have the potential to stay active for a long time still, the game simply is that good.

Decent!
I've been hosting a silver lobby all day (no friends on, and I don't play gold with pugs), and pretty much everyone was okay. Helping with objectives, reviving teammates, etc. There was the odd Krogan who wouldn't medi-gel a few times when it was needed, but oh well. I had reset and rebuilt my Volus Engineer, who now also uses recon mine, which is fun.
