I searched for data or anything about that yesterday but failed, Any chance some of you guys have values or links on that ?
i ll summon capn233 again, sorry mate, cause you once gave me a formula about that RoF and pellets, IIRC
(just to be clear i m speaking specifically of tech bursting Disruptor ammo priming, and FE with Inci rounds. In the second case, i remember priming is effective after a certain amount of ammo damage)

Disruptor can definitely stun mooks, but I'm clueless as to the formula.
At one point, I was told that incendiary primes on a delay, with the delay being shorter with each incremental level of the ammo. In my experience, this seems to be true. Incendiary IV seems to prime in a reliably short time frame, while level I ammo takes longer on average.
It also seems to be true that the weapon makes a difference. The Graal, GPS and Acolyte are all very reliable for priming with a short window.
But I've never seen a chart or anything with numbers.

I haven't seen any method to determine priming in-game so I guess you have to rely on personal experience (like pedro). It doesn't even explain how the Scorpion primes on direct fire. The Valiant is indeed a good primer no matter if you hip fire or scope.
The most reliable primer imo is the Reegar (and probably why it's OP). It's actually hard to fire 2 shots or less with it. Even so it seems to prime armor or non-shielded enemies immediately every time with inc IV ammo, making it easy to exploit the inc glitch.

Chance = AmmoRating / BulletsPerSecond
BulletsPerSecond is basically the ROF/60 but is ROF/60*8 for shotguns.
Disruptor and Cryo Ammo are the chance based ones, Incendiary is dot damage based.

and ammorating is like 15% for DIs Ammo 1 and so one ? Chance is for one pellet application ?
so it s not depending on the weapon at all ?
my brain is unfuncionnal atm, so that prob * second / pellets doesnt make sense

Weapon determines ROF so slow firing weapons have a higher chance of priming per shot. On a per second basis, no difference in chance based on ROF (taking into account reload time). Above based on capn233's explanation.

^ Yeah that's it.
Think of the ammo rating like the base chance to prime, and then it is adjusted based on rate of fire. Shotguns multiply by 8 because they fire 8 at a time (not all actually do, but this is a per class thing) and it is in fact per - hit based.
Oh and Incendiary DOT needed to prime is 30 damage.
