Sometimes.
N7 Day is where the big info dump comes though. *knock on wood* *rubs his lucky rabbit's foot* *gets out his 4 leaf clover*

They release the game after N7 day.
But in all seriousness, yes (probably), I think we've been told that Andromeda's marketing will kick into a higher gear after N7 day and closer to release. That doesn't necessarily mean we'll be getting a lot of new info nor does it mean we'll be getting it at a regular interval, but assuming ME:A will be coming out Q4 2017 (I'd call that a fairly safe bet), we have a year's worth of conferences between now and release. I'd be surprised if EA didn't leverage Mass Effect's popularity at those conferences.

Yeah, N7 Day is just the kickoff of the marketing campaign. There'll be a steady stream of MEA info/gameplay vids/interviews/etc. right up until release.

Didn't an EA exec outright say the game was delayed to 2017?

A dev (on this site no less) said they were still aiming for Q1 (presumably March, 5 years after ME3), by the way. Here

Personally, I would love it if they just had one big info dump on N7 day and went into a hole somewhere and just finished the game (it won't happen but one can dream). Because we've all seen what overhype can do to a game...(*cough No Man's Sky cough*)

The Dragon Age Inquisition launch had regular additional updates each month running up to launch.
N7 Day gives a reason for a slightly larger release on the 7th, but I would expect further trailers and streams through December, January, February and March.

just hope there's no "leak" after N7 , or anytime really. we know where that got us all last time There has been a leak, but as far as I know it didn't include the script. And I think it's much too late to change it now even if they wanted to. Personally, I would love it if they just had one big info dump on N7 day and went into a hole somewhere and just finished the game (it won't happen but one can dream). Because we've all seen what overhype can do to a game...(*cough No Man's Sky cough*) I'm the opposite Yes, overhype is bad, but so is not knowing anything about the key features of the game and if they're up to par, if they've improved since last game. I want to know if the game looks worth getting, to know what I'll be getting. There can be a middle-ground in marketing, but ME:A is currently missing it by a few thousand lightyears. Hopefully N7 Day and beyond will remedy this.

One of the friends i play with on MP will not read, watch or endure anyone telling her anything about MEA , haha. She's known to switch channel on TS if we even mutter the most trivial thing about Andromeda. She will buy the game nonetheless, she just wants the whole thing to be a complete surprise.
It's valid even though i'm the complete opposite.

Even a company with a great track record can unexpectedly screw something up. Which is what happened to Bioware, so I'm skeptical of them now. But even then, this is only somewhat being done by the same studio anyway, since Bioware Montreal is making it. They're kind of unproven either way. It's hard to say, but that's why I haven't pre-ordered. Oh, and the lack of info

It's been a while since I really went into a game blind and I wish I had the willpower to do it again. I'll never forget the first time I played through KOTOR, KOTOR2, Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age: Origins. I discovered them all at the same time and for all of them I'd never seen a trailer, didn't know anything about the plot or characters, nothing at all. And while I've enjoyed the games that have come after, I never got the same sense of wonder and anticipation as before, purely because I began to go looking for information, watch trailers, read articles etc.
I'd love to have gone into Andromeda not knowing there was a Ryder family, that there's (presumably) an asari squadmate, and whatever other information we get. It's a bit late now but I think after N7 day I'm going to try and distance myself a bit more, because I don't want to know the details. And maybe for the next Dragon Age game I can find the strength to stay away from everything completely!
For me I'm not so worried about checking to see whether the game is worthwhile buying or not. If it's an RPG with the BioWare name on it I'll be buying it, purely because they're the only gaming company I know of that makes the kind of games I want to play. (Story-driven, companion-heavy, able to play as a female!)

Myself, although I was a WoW head at the time., I found the ME2 trailers to be some of the best.
Fight for the lost is prolly the best trailer that I've ever seen.

If it's an RPG with the BioWare name on it I'll be buying it, purely because they're the only gaming company I know of that makes the kind of games I want to play. (Story-driven, companion-heavy, able to play as a female!) I completely understand where you're coming from, especially that last sentence. Bioware-style games are my favourite kind, for the reasons you stated and more, and naturally, only Bioware makes them Though I wish they weren't the only ones who did... So I'll still likely get them, just probably not immediately. ME3 (and how Bioware handled things post-launch) really broke... a lot of things. Trust that Bioware can make a satisfying game, for one. Trust that Bioware actually understands fans, for another, which is more important in the long-term. So I'm a lot more cautious now. These games are rare, though. Very rare. So that makes it harder not to get. Perhaps I'll wait for a sale. But it's hard to go dark about a game for an extended period of time after release, especially if you frequent this forum. I still don't know for sure what I'll do when it comes to ME:A. That's why, as it gets closer to release, I want to know as much about it as I can (beforehand I had mostly apathy towards it). I need to know what I'm in store for, because even though it seems backwards, I think that will actually temper my expectations rather than inflate them. I think if I was left only to wonder about what it would be like, I'd inevitably create an image in my head that would be more ambitious, that had features that probably won't be in the game. Story is a different matter; I don't want to have spoilers. But hell, this is the first time I very tiny part of me is actually considering spoiling myself. Probably not though. Fan reviews are a must, however. I'd love to still have confidence in them and discover everything myself. I also know how cool that can be; I did it with ME1 and DA:O as well. But I can't. Not this time

But I am thinking of maybe stepping away after N7 Day. That way there would still be a lot of things to discover in the game on my own and I'd miss out on any potential leaks or devs deciding to stream the beginning of the game.

I thoroughly spoiled myself about DAI (even reading up on the ending) before deciding to purchase it. And I'll be even more thorough with MEA before making a decision here. There are other companies that make the games you describe, but they're smaller, indie companies. Check out Pillars of Eternity by Obsidian Entertainment and the Shadowrun Returns games by Harebrained Schemes. Ooh, and the upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera by inXile!
