The writing and directing in this game is mesmerizing. I don't think there was even one unnatural or needlessly bloated line uttered in any of the countless conversations so far. And yes, the level of detail can't be understated. There are few linear experiences that can match this level, even with closed spaces. Five tipped hats out of five so far.   |

I'm not to surprised by those numbers, it's R* to begin with and the game itself was so anticipated well before it was out. I can see this game being just as lucrative as GTA 5 was in the long run. At least it's not like CoD Bo4 (where the investors weren't happy "only" making 500 million day one. |

Aye, it is possible for highly anticipated games to flunk out on release because of numerous reasons. I expected it to do well but my last rockstar game I played and enjoyed was rdr1 and I played that at least a year after its release. It was cool to see the numbers though. I expect another little bump in sales once RDR: online releases.
On the Bo4 thing , that amused me, but my guess was the investors were given a much higher estimate and sadly it fell below the previous Black ops games in first 3 day sales or something.

well after playing almost 8-10hrs a day since release, hasn't happened yet. And I do a ton of stuff around Rhodes. lol. Good to know though, it may still happen xD
I've had 3 actual glitches
1- floating bottles or meat, only happened a couple of times and not permanent in the spot. 2- a guy got his horse and cart stuck on a rock in Strawberry. That was pretty funny, glitchy but funny. 3- I tried to pick up a hat and started picking up a body instead so panicked and smashed buttons.. got my character stuck in place apparently "looting" unable to do anything while standing stuck. I could really use a "I didn't really want to pick up a body!" button to cancel that action xD before the animation properly starts - but i'm pretty sure I caused that glitch, not the game, saving the game and reloading fixed it fine.

Hogwash! That combustion is clearly caused by wankerscramp and saddle-friction.
Edit: I agree with the GOTY part so far, all things considered. Finished the whole campaign yesterday and can only think of GOW as a competitor when it comes to directing and storytelling.

Any info on RDR2's online components? I am interested to see what this multiplayer mode will offer.
The first game's version was starved for content and quickly became a ghost town, and GTA's multiplayer was rather boring until the heists DLC dropped.
How will Rockstar improve upon their multiplayer mode in this game I wonder?

I shot a guy between the eyes for his treasure map, fed plenty of people to gators, leave people trussed up in the streets if they're rude to me. But oh no we must protect this one sole npc from everyone aahhhh

If people are so concerned with potential violence and abuse then they shouldn't be playing a rated "M for mature" video game. Clearly the only answer is to remove all characters of that gender and political affiliation from every video game on the marketplace; that way no one has to worry about potential (virtual) abuse.  And people wonder why I prefer the 'alien'/ non-human elements in my fiction. |

Not a fan f the reporter but he has the before and after info and comparisons with other "promoting violence" stuff, basically everything in so m,any videos requires some sort of fighting. It only matters if it's this one specific woman of course the guy had videos of multiple ways to get rid of male npc's as well, but it's only the woman protestor one that got him banned. There is much worse out there on youtube covering violence in video games as gameplay, they're fine.

Onto bugs: other then my floating items here and there, and glitching myself stuck once. I fell through a rock/cliff side today when I was trying to climb it / failing and sliding down it. Still haven't encountered the road of fire  my road section is clean, and works normally. I always feel left out. |

Games journalists etc are NOT happy with Shirakko's channel being unbanned, even though it technically didn't break any rules because video game. here's one of many- www.gamerevolution.com/features/453299-red-dead-redemption-2-feminism-politicsdaily caller pointed out in their article how he punches hitler off a cliff, takes out the kkk etc etc Once again a, oh no can't touch that one woman.. but every other npc is fine kind of situation. Can we just have one game where these people stay away since its obviously not for them even though you have to protect -spoiler redacted- at one stage. lol... Honestly this is the only outrage I've really seen and it's about something you can do to any npc in the game except kids.
I assure you, the game does not force you to do anything to this one npc, you don't even have to talk to her, say hi or anything. You can walk on the other side and ignore her as best you can (she can be heard from quite a distance) but she's not there the entire game. Seems to have disappeared from mine anyway.

of course he is, it gets him views and attention. That's basically internet 101 . though the last couple of videos have pretty tame titles , for him anyway.
I'm not a supporter of his, never even watched any vids except one where he hunted down KKK encounters. Just not a fan of banning for something so completely silly (one sole npc getting killed was their reason). He only did more because it got him so many views *shrugs* that's how youtubers work.
