The infamous retaliation glitch. You start the game with origin enabled but offline and when you are pass the screen you turn online again.
Oh and you wait till it fixes itself eventually !!!

Don't listen to this toaster  This is old-fashioned way. Nowadays you install Mod Manager and use one of the ASI mods.  The only downside to this, is that you won't be able to check the leaderboards from in the game (those are not loaded correctly). You can still do that on your N7HQ profile website. |

Nice, didn't know that MM has so many additional functions nowadays.

I had it happen to me a lot this weekend as well. It is most taxing when it occurs. I did manage to get it workng though, and got in a few good games.
