So I just finished the campaign. Thought it was okay. The main characters (Faye, Owen, Haluk) are generally well voice-acted (Faye stands out more to me), but other characters were a hit-or-miss. I came in prepared about objectives being fairly repetitive, but I'm fairly used to it with other games in the genre. However, what I found to be the disappointing aspect of the game, related to level design, is the fact that BioWare never truly leveraged the flight and hover mechanics. In fact, I'd argue that the tutorial is one of the best missions in the game BECAUSE it leveraged them (during the section where you had to avoid the arc columns).
Considering how much the narrative push behind the game was centered on the flight mechanic, the fact that this wasn't translated into level design is upsetting. There's no flying through small hoops, or "the floor is lava" scenarios that would encourage hovering, or chasing a creature (hell, it could be flying down a shaft if flight durations an issue). During one of Matthias's missions, you engage with a color-coding puzzle. Instead of just activating a object to match the proper colors, they could have made it so that several colored spheres appeared in the area, and by hovering inside of one - and shooting the door with the corresponding color - you could solve the puzzle. I don't know if this will be improved in future updates, but this was something that bothered me the most during my playthrough.

Yup. What drives me crazy is that everybody and their mother has attacks to shut down your flight. And that is coming from someone who plays Colossus main with a short range setup, so I am not really flying during combat that much anyways.
This whole topic is just one more entry on the long list of missed opportunities and wasted potential.

I've been saying this from the start. The game doesn't take advantage of what is probably its strongest asset. It's mind-boggling.

Shouldn't this be in the Anthem Gripes and complaints? Sorry to be the spoilsport... @modteam mousestalker Multiple threads of every and each complaint seems a bit cumbersome.

Finished the game on Friday, 60 hpurs in, Combat is great, grapchics are gtreat, missons design is bad. Story was not on bioware standards at all. I liked Faye and owen but the game needed more screentime with the main characters
