That's right, Arkhne's up to his crazy tricks again. This time, I've revived my older mod, and started tweaking it again. It's a mixed factions mod with an emphasis on mid-tier mooks (You know, those bastards that are always the ones to kill you, such as Marauders, Pyros, Hunters, and Dragoons, and abombs, abombs for days). Unfortunately, as this was an extention of my very first mod, there are many "tweaks" that I've since forgotten, and may need ironing out. A few ammo counts have had to be made more reasonable (Lets face it, a Claymore with 30 spare rounds is more Clay than anybody needs). To that end, I am seeking people willing to test it out in-game and see what tweaks that they can find that they don't (or do!) like. People wanting to help in 3 or 4 people games should add me on Origin (Name: Arkhne) and message me there. However, I am also specifically looking for people who are sadistic enough to want to solo (or even Duo) it. You don't need to be an excellent soloer (the mod is not crazy difficult like my 12 enemies one), and is equally testable on Silver (only Cerberus has any significant difference between Gold and Silver).
Prefered qualities include A ) Not being afraid of Seeker Plagues, B ) Not afraid of Abombs being super fast, and having a SLIGHTLY increased explosion radius (certain "tricks" for surviving them no longer work because of that), C ) Not potato PC, a few of the changes can be a little taxing and cause framerate issues (this isn't really important, but just thought I'd be honest, the performance hit of certain things IS noticable on my not-excellent PC).
One of the main reasons why I am trying to find people for this is that my next step will be to make a combined mod, 12 enemies with mixed factions, but before I start working on that, I need to make certain that my enemy combinations are sound, and that I have testers that have experienced both my mods, and therefor be ready for the challenge of such testing, so thinking of this as your resume run, if you want to playtest such a mod, now is the time to get on board for the experience.
Now, for a few more details, as it isn't really fair to ask for volunteers on such little information. The four factions have been completely re-assembled on Silver and Gold, enemy stats are MOSTLY unchanged (Abomb speed, abomb explosion radius, and Captains always making Plagues instead of Swarms are pretty much it).
- Collectors are a favourite among my friends, they have a few waves of NOTHING but Abombs, and some other surprises like the my first ever all-Guardian wave (this was so popular, my 12 enemies mod received a few of them on Bronze).
The other three factions have been "themed" based mostly on how they perform "generically" in vanilla.
- Cerberus faction (particularly on Gold) is quite good at harassing players, and applying pressure.
- Reapers faction is quite a step up from vanilla where they are laughable, they are particularly brutal in their deployment of heavily armoured troops, Wave 6 and 10 are particularly nasty for certain objectives (my personal favourite is wave 8 though, mucho fun).
- Geth are arguably the least threatening on this mod, and are my prefered solo (Sniper solos against them are damned good fun), first 6 waves or so is pretty easy, but the last few can be quite taxing if you make a mistake and lose control of the map.
This mod also features some of my best and worst extraction waves, while the other mod features 3 minutes of a mostly standard extraction, these are the standard 2 minutes, with very non-standard enemy sets. Reapers and Collectors Extractions of quite popular for some reason, where Geth and Cerberus extractions tend to involve cursing, rage geling, and rocketing the living daylights out of everything after you gel. Good times.
