Does anyone else find the scenes with Mr. Damp and the 'puppets' delightfully creepy? No, just me? Oh, well. Andrei approves.

No just you, but most people seems to use the adjective terrifying instead of creepy. I just use creepy. I can already tell we are going to get great creepy-horror moments like the snuff/horror tape missions already. And if the Patriot park "discombobulation", I posted a gif earlier, is anything to go by, they went to great level (design) to make you immersed into madness too.

I wonder if they'd do that Patriot Park bit just for Malkavians? That's probably too much of a resource investment for something only a slice of players would see but if everyone sees it shenanigans are implied coughLILITHcough.

I rewatched the trailer for the, hmm 10th time I think , and I'm starting to believe there are story hints in it. The trailer shows a representative for all factions but one. - The Baron: Mr. Damp - Camarilla: Prince Alec Cross and his second-in-command (the "goodbye now" lady) - Newcomer: Elif Parmak - Pioneers: Lou As their name suggest, the Unseen are unseen. In the trailer, Mr. Damp is dancing with 4 puppets. I think these represent 4 factions being someone's puppets. There are 2 men and 2 women puppets, but the known faction leaders are three men and one woman. This is were we enter the choices zone, either: - we have to include the Unseen and they have a female leader (among the Council of Three) which leaves Camarilla, Baron and Newcomer as the possible puppetmaster - the Baron is actually a women pretending to be a men (very few kindred ever meet him kinda scream "not who you think") and the Unseen are the puppetmaster - the puppermaster is an external force and one of the faction isn't on a string (I'll go with Unseen as they aren't in the trailer). I think going with "Mr. Damp is doing it = Baron is the puppetmaster" is jumping to conclusions. Mr. Damp act very much like a Malkavian, they just know things. Also, the two women puppet have perfect xmas sweaters.

There was a World of Darkness News stream today. That is Outstar's new job for Paradox. Someone made a summary on Reddit, there are some Bloodlines 2 information. Especially if you are looking to purchase on console. No release date.

Too bad that we don´t know how Penny really is but well atleast we know her voice actress. Surprise surprise it´s also Jo Wyatt (Femhawke and Ciri) jowyatt.com/category/games/Maybe its the Camarilla Lady from the newest trailer. Her "Goodbye now" sounds a bit like Jo Wyatt. But only with this short dialogue it´s pretty hard to be sure that this character could be Jo Wyatt.

Have people been asking to see Damsel? She seems to be the courier on the way to Seattle in Vein Pursuit which occurs right before bloodlines 2 so she'll probably be in it. (Ep 8 51:45) Well this tweet could be just coincidence but maybe it´s not.
Of course Courtenay Taylor could also come back as Heather (i really don´t want that because of her different fates), Doris or Rosa. Rosa would also be cool as returning character but i think besides maybe Heather Damsel was Courtenay Taylors most iconic role in Bloodlines 1. Also according to Bloodlines 2 Senior Narrative Designer Cara Ellison "Damsel was written specifically for Courtney Taylor, because Damsel is basically Courtney - and Brian knows her well."

Sign me up. For what game?
Also everyone "apart from Garrus wants to sleep with you" may be correct for Mass Effect 1 and maybe Mass Effect 2 (Femshep is really persuasive) but in Mass Effect 3 Garrus definitely wants to sleep with a romanced Femshep.
Maybe Wrex would be more correct.

Also according to Bloodlines 2 Senior Narrative Designer Cara Ellison "Damsel was written specifically for Courtney Taylor, because Damsel is basically Courtney - and Brian knows her well." She could also be voicing a new character, but I think Damsel is the most likely option because of Vein Pursuit's event. Also, her beret is part of the unsanctioned edition of the game and I felt that was a bit weird. I don't think it's that iconic compared the stop sign or Jeannet/Jack's outfits. But she doesn't fit the "character nobody asked for", that doesn't stop her from coming back. I get the feeling the "character nobody asked for" is a really minor character. And I hope they have Mary Elizabeth McGlynn in a new role too unless they bring back Ecaterina from Redemption. I don't really care about Pisha personally. Sign me up. For what game? I think the upper cap hint at sarcasm, but it's not the only wrong part (in Bloodlines 1, you can sleep with Jeanette for example). It's about the tonality between the games. It's also missing a "ending" row. ME ending: You are a Legend Witcher ending: You are a Legend Bloodlines 1 ending: Nobody care what happened to you

edit: Apparently this was made by a developer 1] If Shepard was the galaxy's greatest hero, how come nobody went looking for them when they were lost? 2] Not impressed enough to give way without saying anything. 3] Didn't Shep have to make the moves first to make anyone sleep with them? 4] I think everyone would prefer to get on with their lives than sleep around. 5] If Shep did nothing, the ship would simply be a name and number. 6] Everyone sees the N7 logo and adds 1 + 1. 7] Shepard's the quality inspector. Of course nobody can do anything without the stamp of approval.

Outstar made a commentary video on the new trailer. She sent the video to the BL2 team first for the approval stamp (as she now works for Paradox on the VTM brand team and played BL2 already but she can't say "things"). No more speculation from her and it's spoiler free, but she makes a few interesting comments. Like indirectly confirming this guy was in Vein Pursuit as people speculated. Or how Mr. Damp is really not a nice guy. Or that characters in the games are onions. Or that the city is a character. Or that they are currently in alpha locking down level lighting/environments. Or that they changed the thinblood movement related discipline from you having only the one form the thinblood discipline you choose, to having all of them now (thinblood combat abilities are still limited by what you choose). That means everyone can glide, turn into myst to use vent or use TK to unblock paths. This happened after play testing in alpha. Oh and the "oh you" to Elif section of the video are because she can't talk about her relationship with her (she mentioned that on the official discord).

Of course she could voice one or two new characters but could also voice Damsel too. I partly agree / disagree. Her beret isn´t that iconic but her L´Armee Troika T-Shirt pretty is. You are right this doesn´t fit Brian Mitsodas tweet but that doesn´t rule out Damsel. I really don´t believe that we only
get one returning character.
Maybe its the TV Anchor but this would be lame because we already know that he will be back in BL1.
I love Pisha or whatever her real name actually is and it would be cool if she is back.

Paradox main twitter account just retwitted this tweet. Day 3 will have gameplay demos and dev interviews, I expect some Bloodlines 2 stuff there. Also, I never new that Indies publishers were a thing. added: Paradox will have its own conference on June 6th during this "event".

Pisha could be dead by the end of Bloodlines 1. Of course that wouldn't be the first potentional dead character, that was brought back for a seuquel (coughBiowarecough*) The player could also kill all the thinbloods (besides maybe Copper and Julius), Tseng, Flynn Boyle, Fat Larry, Slater or Arthur Kilpatrick. But the big difference between them and someone like Mercurio they aren´t any story reasons to kill them or acknowledgement like Chunk with his brother.
You just kill them because the playercharacter is just a psycho killer and that´s all. If Brian Mitsoda has a possible good story for Pisha in mind why not use her in Bloodlines 2?
Also i know that some DA fans were mad that Leliana won´t stay dead if she was killed in Origins but i am sorry how many Origins player had done this? 1% of the DAO playerbase? So yeah i would totally ignore Pisha stupid and not meaningful death in Bloodlines 1.
By the way the Kuei-Jin ending isn´t also canon.

By the way the Kuei-Jin ending isn´t also canon. I think, we had that discussion on the Vampire board already. I don't think, you have to be a psycho killer to want to kill Pisha, on the contrary: that would be a task for a person with a strong sense of morality (which my characters seldom have). I agree that killing the other characters, you've mentioned, is a dick move, but not necessarily Pisha. She was rash, reckless and evil, when she pursued the film crew, then she messed up and endangered the Masquerade. If the Camarilla would have gotten wind of it, she would probably been hunted and killed. Even with her special feeding habits, she could have gotten about it a bit more discrete and maybe chose at least victims that aren't innocents (Downtown has a gang problem ... just saying...).
And you can kill Copper indirectly by sending him after Lacroix and you can kill Julius during that mission for VV, where you have to find the movie manuskript and it turns out, that Julius was telling the writer about vampires. Both are really evil deeds.
I don't really have a problem with games retconning potentionally dead characters, but in Pishas case, I'd say that a bit more player might kill her than for example Leliana. If you roleplay a good character, you might want to stop her.

I agree with the general idea though: if a character can reasonably die by the choices that a player makes then it's better to just let said characters be. I think there can be some exceptions but in Pisha's case it's a bit more difficult since she's a very polarizing figure in the first Bloodlines. Almost nobody that I know decides to kill the thinbloods in Santa Monica but Pisha is quite a different matter. I'd rather meet a new Nagaraja, as I've said before, perhaps even the real pisha !

If you roleplay a good character, you might want to stop her. I can guarantee that discussion happened... I was there ! I think, Pisha said, that the real Pisha is dead and has no need of the name anymore. But I agree with the rest.

Yeah, they are. I would love to see some members of independent clans.

1] If Shepard was the galaxy's greatest hero, how come nobody went looking for them when they were lost? Nobody could find the body, so everyone assumed they went down with the Normandy.
I'm not sure how canon the comics are, but I know there was one detailing the ridiculous lengths that Liara went to in locating Shepard's body, keeping it away from the Shadow Broker and ultimately accepting Cerberus' offer to keep it safe and maybe bring Shepard back. It does gel with the given backstory for what Liara did between games, her guilt at handing Shepard over to Cerberus and why has such beef with the Shadow Broker that comes to a head in LotSB.

Paradox main twitter account just retwitted this tweet. Day 3 will have gameplay demos and dev interviews, I expect some Bloodlines 2 stuff there. Also, I never new that Indies publishers were a thing. added: Paradox will have its own conference on June 6th during this "event". This is interesting. Nice to see people and game companies organizing themselves to take the place of E3 this year.
