I'd prefer well any of the games other than vampire. Mage, Fairy, werewolf you name it. Vampire was my least favorite in my PNP world. Still the first one had some really solid role-playing for a computer game.

Finally! I'm kinda disappointed that we're playing as a thin-blood (playing as different clan in Bloodlines always felt different, especially if you were Nosferatu, Malkavian or Tremere, as NPCs react diffently to you), but from gameplay perspective, I suppose it allows more flexibility.

Oh god I love vampires so much.  Sexiest thing so far for me is that people now come in flavors and it starts to reflect in you which type you prefer, like with perks and stuff. It sets up a potentially interesting thing where you might be this thoughtful zen vampire but it's only because you prey on those people and that's not thoughtful and zen at all and the vampire who is angry all the time might be the moral one who only snacks on people who are actively violent towards him/someone else. I also kinda like being a thinblood and outside the established hierarchy in the beginning. Mostly because I am VERY curious as to how you become a full blood since AFAIK you can only do that through diablerie which is a big no-no in vampire society. I also really like that there's a background system and you can customize yourself before and after turning. |

First Halo Master Chief Collection comes to PC and now this? Hell yeah! I played the first Bloodlines until 4 AM in the morning for one work week when I first got it (vampire by night and zombie by day), and it is very high in the list of my favourite RPGs and most replayed games ever.
Can't wait!

You get to pick a clan later in the game, it even has a "character creator" associated to it. Going by some of the interviews I heard/read, that affect the storyline paths. They will even add more clans, for free, after release (aka it's Paradox expect DLCs-omaton). Bloodlines is one of my favourite RPGs of all time, so it's a shame I won't be able to play the sequel. (I get first-person motion sickness.) Oh well, I wasn't really sold on the idea of playing a thin-blood. I do too and I'm getting this game, but then I plays a lots of 1st person games after fiddling with the settings. Yes, sometimes I turn green and gets headaches...I don't care, if I'm having fun.

Must just be cheaper to make it FPV, I dunno. There is nothing immersive about being a floating camera with a pair of disembodied hands.

Fuck yeah! Now there's four games I look forward to. I have sort of mixed feelings about World of Darkness setting and RPGs, but Vampire: the Masquerade and Dark Ages from have a very special place in my heart (the stuff from nineties at least, I've had only very limited expose to Requiem stuff, and none on anything made in 2010s), and Bloodlines is one of my favorite CRPGs of all time. Still, it's not Troika and it's the current year, but at least the concept has much potential. Enthusiastic but managing expectations, we'll see...
