I read an article today saying that DA4 was gonna be an Anthem with dragons...that concerned me because of all that talk of a DA/ME crossover...I don't want to see that happen. If it does, I'm out. Done with DA...I still have issues over Trespasser.

So... Mass Age? That would be a great stress reducer. They are connected. There is tangible proof they are connected.
One of the treasure rooms in Dragon Age MP is a tavern. In the tavern are a bunch of mounted heads. dragon, nug, etc and amongst them is a krogan head mounted on the wall.

Oh I bought Anthem. The world is very nice looking, flying is fun as hell. Some of the characters were really good. Unfortunately the rest of the game got boring really fast. I really thought there was going to be tons of different quests and such to do. Epic fail in that area, as in major epic fail.

Bioware peaked with Dragon Age 2. Mass Effect 3 was great, Dragon Age Inquisition and Andromeda were good, I have no interest in Anthem - multiplayer-only games are Satan's spawn.
Honestly, they're pretty good at gameplay, but maybe the stories have got a bit safer?

uh... A Mass Effect / Dragon Age crossover sounds like one of those things which would attempt to get everyone on board but ultimately infuriate everyone. I don't want Mass Effect / Dragon Age crossover. The two are cover entirely different areas by design (Sci-Fi vs Fantasy), and are meant to be wholly independent of one another, spare a few cheeky references. Are there any good sci-fi/fantasy crossovers anywhere? I don't want it. I don't. End of story. As per Bioware.. It might be time to put them down soon. The magic is gone. I've been a fanboy since ME2, but... they have fallen from grace. It seems like they make games for online reviewers to be horrified at and write stories about at this point. Ever since DA2, damn near every release has been a total shitshow. Every one. DA2? Shitshow. ME3? Shitshow. Many redeeming qualities, but ultimately a shitshow. DA3? Not amazing, but many of its faults were glossed over. Looking back on it, it could have EASILY been grilled. ME:A? Shitshow. I had my fun with its SP, but shitshow. Anthem? Shitshow. It was a worthy attempt, but.. no one asked for it. It was made for shareholders and not us. Which is bad. Anthem is the only one I think was a bad deal from a consumer standpoint. The old timers were always a bunch of lefty brats, but they were lefty brats who delivered, and I respected that. Now, they seem to have been replaced by a bunch of self-righteous crybabies working with an engine that should have never been used for ANYTHING that was not an FPS. Also, the industry is changing. There are indie and AA titles that are superior to some of the better AAA's in almost every aspect. Does AAA development even have a right to exist anymore? Would we get better content with a bunch of AA rpgs? Ranting and ravings aside... Let them make DA4. If it is a solid release, give them some space to breath. If they disappoint again... well, my old friends, we know what must be done.

Haven't I heard this about a dozen times before, concerning other developers? Hmm, didn't about 100,000 people emphatically predict this more than a decade ago?

Haven't I heard this about a dozen times before, concerning other developers? Hmm, didn't about 100,000 people emphatically predict this more than a decade ago? Does the fact that they predicted a decade ago make them any less right? The BioWare everyone loved from the past gave all their games loads of DLC.. ME:A got 0 single player DLC... and Anthem is Anthem. To me, the downward trend in post-launch content seems to be an acknowledgement of under-delivering and an unhealthy status. Understand me, I do not want BioWare to die. But if BioWare is a diseased husk of its former self, it has no right to live. (Hence the Old Yeller reference.) Nothing lasts forever. Maybe the time is right for them to fade away.

Maybe the time is right for them to fade away. Just in case you read the wrong kind of spirit and meaning into my post: I've said if not hundreds then at least dozens of times, that EA has the anti-Midas touch, - they turn everything gold into poop. Heck, they turn everything they touch into poop. I am one of those who predicted this shit way back in 2007-2008, when EA took over Bioware. I released a real tantrum on Bioware forum and then left, and didn't return until DA:O was released (ME was published by Microsoft, before EA, and DA:O was already finished before EA, just held up for about a year to wait for a console version to be made, at the insistence of EA marketing. The game was probably changed somewhat as well, to fit console gaming.) No, I'm not surprised at all by the events that have unfolded during this decade. Only thing that raised my eyebrow, is that Dice held out as long as they have. But then there is a geographic distance, which kinda makes the EA marketers' and middle managers' reach limited. But I think we can safely conclude that that studio is also now ruined.
