I have a couple of questions about tools and the installation. Help would be very appreciated! What's the difference between ME3 Mod Manager, ME3 Tweaks Mod Manager and ME3 Explorer? Which one(s) do I have to use?
Me3 Mod Manager is the old version of the Me3 Tweaks Mod Manager. Those are mod managers, designed to help with installing (dlc) mods and tweaks. Me3 Explorer is a tool designed for creating mods and also installing certain types of mods, like texture mods, model mods, and a way outdated .mod format that incorporates both of those.
As for your installation order:
Me3 Recalibrated is a DLC mod, you can install it anytime before textures, and after the Bink files that enable most mods.
I have no idea when the Controller and interface scaling mods are supposed to be installed, but I am pretty sure that MGamerz listed detailed instructions on their specific sites.
As for DLC mods, the installation order does not matter -for the most part. Some of them do have prerequisites that are mostly detailed on their sites. E.g., All EGM expending mods require that EGM is installed. The Miranda Mod for EGM can use AVPen's Alternate Uniform IF that mod is installed first (IIRC the installer checks for that)
I am pretty sure that the Ken and Gabby recruitment mod is included in ME3 Recalibrated. I am also pretty sure that the 'Extende Cut to Citadel DLC' mod is incompatible with any ending mod, like MEHEM.

Thank you so much for the mod tools explanation and other info.
Was able to mod ME1 and ME2 so far to my liking. At least the installs worked and the game start. Will have to see if that holds true after playing trough them.
ME3 is more complex. Had a graphics issue with Traynor having no textures, just all black geometric forms. Will restart the moding with a fresh install.

Hey I don't know if you saw my post on the other topic but your advice helped out alot thanks. Also is ME3 recalibrated a dlc mod and is it compatabile with EGM. What does it actually change? Also: Yes ME3Recalibrated is a DLC mod. It offers some modularity though. As for the list of changes (I just copied this from the last version's install manual): - Joker Teeth Fix – Optional texture (vanilla resolution) that fixes Joker’s black teeth and lack of
tongue. (AVPen) - Echo Shard Fix – Fix for the VFX associated with Javik’s echo shard when
Leviathan and From Ashes DLCs are installed simultaneously. (Kinkojiro) - Bailey NPC Redux – ME2-centric makeover that affects all ME3 content for Bailey including
Citadel DLC. This redux is the best yet and required custom textures. (Giftfish, Ottemis) - Restored Zaeed Conversation – Restores unused dialogue for Zaeed on the Citadel, and turns
the conversation into a cutscene rather than an ambient. (SirCxyrtyx) - Hackett on Kahje Fix – Fix for Hackett’s convo path regarding the hanar and drell. Now triggers
if Hanar Diplomat is incomplete OR if Kahje was saved. (Giftfish) - Garrus on Bridge Fix – Fix for Garrus’s location when on the Bridge with Joker. Base game and
DLC versions. (Kinkojiro) - Kirrahe STG GAW Fix – There was a bug in the previous version of this fix that could lead to a
crash. The assets now apply differently. Kirrahe alive = GAW Kirrahe & STG. Kirrahe dead = only STG. (Kinkojiro) - Horsehead Nebula & Kahje Lore Fixes – Fixes ANN broadcast content about Reaper capital
ships, Noveria, Horsehead Nebula, Kahje, Exodus cluster, and salarians that conflicts with ME3 timeline, potential quest outcomes, planet descriptions, and lore established in all three games. This applies to news broadcasts on the Citadel and conversation content with Allers on the Normandy. (Giftfish) - Citadel: Hanar Diplomat Quest Fixes – Bau’s email no longer identifies him as STG, as there’s
no other evidence in game for this. Terminal navpoints now only display if Shepard enables them via the spectre terminal. Navpoint for the Embassy terminal will now properly inactivate post-interaction. Bau and Kasumi’s dialogue are both be heard during the mission. Kasumi will only comment on Jacob if Shepard doesn’t have romance history, as in ME2. Kasumi will ask about EDI/Joker even if Garrus is alive. Assorted subtitle fixes. Completion glitch addressed by not allowing Shepard to leave the Citadel until the quest is completed. (Giftfish) - New Prologue Escape Bugfix – James and FemShep were missing a line of audio for non-
BackOff users. This has been added. (Giftfish) Accurate C-Sec Uniforms – Bailey’s appearance overhaul necessitated that all C-Sec officers have their proper uniforms restored. This change affects several files and we’ve tried to catch incorrect uniforms, but there may be some files we’ve missed. If so, just leave us a quick comment on Nexus or ME3Explorer (please don’t report it as a bug).(Giftfish) - Coup StandOff Fixes – This encounter and wrap up with Bailey/Council has had a lot of
cleaning up. New and smoothed gestures, fixed NPC locations, improved camera shots and fixes for bugged shots, and more. Plus, Bailey redux and proper C-Sec uniforms. (Giftfish) - Coup Intro Cutscene – More fixes for this conversation in the next release. For now, this fix
removes Shepard’s equipped weapons, as the commander is in casual clothing during as the Normandy arrives at the Citadel. (Giftfish)

I'd add the Ashley Legacy Project to the list of recommended mods, it makes her face look more like it did in ME2, she has an alliance uniform onboard the Normandy, you have the option of having her hair up or down on the Normandy (it's up in combat and down in her romance scene) www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/157/ - You have to be logged in to view the mod as it's classed as having adult content (the mod removes her bra in her romance scene)

Will have to see if that holds true after playing trough them. ME3 is more complex. Had a graphics issue with Traynor having no textures, just all black geometric forms. Will restart the moding with a fresh install. Managed to make all ME3 texture mods work, finally figured out the AutoToc-thing as well as the mount/conflict resolver.
Had to leave out the GUI scalling mod though, always broke the controller mod, but it's not really an issue. Whenever I try to enter Afterlife with the Omega hub mod however, it crashes or even completely freezes my PC. Not even Ctrl, Alt + Delete > Task Manager opens, but doesn't react.
The whole "EGM mods umbrella" is awesome (Miranda Mod woohoo ), Backoff is neat too. ME Recallibrated along with ALOV & ALOT are musts for all 3 games and add so much.
Will soon be able to experience MEHEM mod.
For those who are afraid to mod. I'm no computer wizard. If you are willing to read, at worst try it 2-3 times until you get it right with the install order, it's surprisingly easy. Mostly copy/paste, run an exe. or drag and load some files/folders.
These mods, especially for ME3 add so much cool stuff. It's incredible!
In the future I'd like to see if I can mod the ME2 so I can play all the missions with Legion.

I did EGM as well as bonus power packs HR ARMAX arena armor kenn and gabby recruitment mission Tali romance mod and the miranda one The ashley legacy mod (or one like it.) Admittedly the mods that make liara and sam's romance scenes nude.
And a bunch of others I can't remember right now.

Has anyone suggested Project variety yet? Here's a list of all the changes it makes to the game, some big, some small. The amount of work it does is formidable. Sure, most of the stuff it does, aren't big changes to the game, but holy shit, the level of detail the modder went through to make everything more immersive, with attention to details from uniforms to insignias, to even random datapads, is bordering on obsessive compulsive. There's also some restored content and the Ken and Gabby mod is also integrated.

Does anyone know if Project Variety and EGM for MELE are at all compatible? I am preparing a new trilogy run and am wondering if I can use both of them.

There is a compatibility section in a spoiler in the lower middle / upper last third or so of the page: So if you install egm first and then pv, it should pick that up and autoselect the patch

Oh my god, they did it!!! They released CEM for LE! www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/1018Thank you modding community for porting this gem to the Legendary Edition! I remember playing my favorite OT run with this mod at the end and it was such a wonderful way to end the trilogy. This is the perfect mod for all those who want a less grimdark ending and at the same time think that the Citadel DLC and it's lighthearted tone does not quite fit into the middle of ME3. Can be used with the original (destroy) ending but of course, works best with Audemus' Happy Ending Mod. Thanks again modders! Your are the best!

Just seen the launch vid for this new mod (MASS EFFECT 3: Unofficial Patch 2022) for OG on Youtube. Mod linkAuthor Description"Brought to you by two independent modders Orikon and Hadrorex comes the 2022 edition of the Unofficial Patch for ME3 original. This is an extensive restoration project for Mass Effect 3 on the PC that aims to bring the title to the level of polish of it's previous instalments. The mod fixes a massive amount of legacy bugs, adds curated cut content and more! Also featured in this package is a singularly developed overhaul to the games rushed level of detail. Now level streams are fully loaded in, revealing previously broken and unseen level art with fantastic results. Immerse yourself in the environments of ME3 like never before."
