Well I do understand your point. But is it truly self righteous if one organization had red tape(Shepard doesn't count due to his spectre status; and the Council he is only answerable too) and another organization gotten themselves indoctrination. Keep in mind both System Alliance and Cerberus has a lot of baggage to give people pause if not quit. Yes, it is self-righteous to hold yourself above the rules and quit if you simply don't like them. That's exactly what some here are hating Liam for after doing it once and learning from it and yet when Jacob does it continually with no development apparently it's fine. While Liam was a trash character, i never got the hate for what he did. Like before that happens you bring on Angara diplomats to the nexus who communicate daily with them to fix a diplomatic issue with Aya you bring on civilian Angara who again can communicate daily with their families, you brought on Angara onto your crew and fly their, all the exiles know where it is, you have multiple characters communicating with the exiles if for some reason they forgot where the nexus was. It wasn't a secret

Sure it is subjective, like everything you just aid was subjectively wrong. Especially Chucky who was worse than everyone in ME OG. But, objectively we can see how many people liked the new crew. And well it wasn't many. First of all, now the Andromeda crew is my favourite crew in all video gamedom, ever, so how dare you and secondly, who is Chucky again?

How many soldiers did they feed to thresher maws again? That’s not really terrorism, regardless of the ethics, or lack thereof. The biggest problem is that the Council and Alliance do not have an appropriate response to Cerberus’ presence, and the plot makes everyone extraordinarily weak in order to justify forcing us to side with them. A ship emblazoned with the Cerberus logo should have been put on lockdown, and any operatives aboard arrested (and perhaps executed). But, we gotta hang with Cerberus because The Plot is our god. Even Shepard’s involvement should not have given an ounce of legitimacy to the group in the Council or the Alliance’s eyes, considering their involvement in numerous, forcibly-applied shifts in certain high profile figures. Speaking of traitors and terrorists... If Cerberus are terrorists then the Council is for creating the Spectres, who are just terrorists with police badges. Also, if Shepard and those who signed up with Cerberus in ME2 are traitors then so are the Alliance for abandoning humanity when they got that Council seat. So really, just about all the major fractions in ME are traitors and terrorists.

Also at the beginning of ME2 since the Normandy SR1 is investigating missing colonies when it is attacked.

His actions speak loudly. This isn't surprising since he told Ryder he was suspended x number of times. He's a troublemaker just like he was in the Milky Way. Removing him from the squad will prevent any possible stupid crap he may pull in the future.

1. Those colonies settled in the Terminus Systems specifically to not be part of the Alliance. So the Alliance didn’t betray them because they were not part of them. They betrayed humanity, the galaxy and Shepard. For two years they made no effort to find a way to deal with the reapers. This is confirmed by Anderson when he told Shepard it's up to him/her to find a way to stop the reapers. And the Alliance failing to make any attempt to locate Shepard's body and search for the remains of the SR1. Ah yes, the cartoon that came out in late 2012. How many watched the cartoon? Were they? Can you provide a link?

Once they learned that, they all turned into c**kroaches to scatter themselves all over the galaxy to do things not related to finding a way to stop the reapers.

Once they learned that, they all turned into c**kroaches to scatter themselves all over the galaxy to do things not related to finding a way to stop the reapers. To be fair, if the government itself was essentially taking a staunch position against the threat of the reapers, this handful of randos isn’t going to be particularly effective in doing anything about it. Heck, even Shepard *agrees* to just waste time going on a wild goose chase in the Terminus Systems to hunt down geth. Like, who the fuck cares about them? Shepard does, apparently. The leftovers of the SR-1 wouldn’t have any advanced ships of their own or a proper crew they could go on missions with. They’d just be civilians taking charter flights to wherever or military personnel assigned to some other place. Donnelly spoke out against the claims about Shepard, and he had no effect at all. The best part though is that Cerberus had a team that was in close proximity to an actual reaper all along, and told no one about it, and kept much of their mad science to themselves. Heck, they could have bankrolled a speedier recovery of the Alliance, perhaps putting them into a better position to actually help Shepard, but they didn’t. They just sat on their billions and screwed about with secret experiments.

Again, those colonies wanted nothing to do with the Alliance. If a group of people wanted nothing to with say the United States and then get into trouble, the United States is not obligated to help them and them not isn't them betraying those people. Also a mission can have more than one objective.

There are plenty of other reasons as well, made abundantly clear throughout the games, too. Things such as the Alliance needing to fill in the blanks of the Citadel Space’s fleets after the attack in ME1, the Terminus Systems ready to declare war if Council forced enter their territory which would kill even more, and so on. No, petty is the Horizon colonists being ungrateful snots about being saved after learning Shepard saved them.
