Dragon Age is very special to me, it's been there in my darkest parts of life to bring me joy and comfort. It's allowed me to meet some amazing women whom I consider great friends. DA Origins is my favorite game of all time and in existence. No game is like DA.

It’s officially #DragonAgeDay in Australia now. 1am. This game helped me get my writing mojo back when my good friend @razerathane hounded me to play DAI four years after it had come out. I explained I had played the crap out of DAO years before, to a point...

.... my partner at the time, now thankfully ex partner, was annoyed I was spending so much time playing a game. The world caught my imagination when I was 21(2001), just moved out of home and was in a rough spot. I didn’t know I had anxiety at this point...

... and the game helped me calm down at bit, but it was toxic and obsessive. My therapist had mentioned I just needed to take a step back from gaming so I did. But I never did forget about playing as my Warden, and those memories helped build some coping mechanisms ...

Fast forward to 2016 and I started playing DAI. My first play through was Addar, my soft hearted Knight Enchanter who romanced Bull. I was so excited to see a BDSM relationship portrayed so well in the game, my partner watched those scenes with me and we....

... both couldn’t believe how well it captured those moments, and how it was Safe, Sane and Consensual. It was really important to me, because 50 Shades at this point was such a pile of bile; it was such a sigh of relief. Who ever wrote that romance, kudos 1000 over ....

... and once I had finished the game, shocked to see the mic drop that was Trespasser, my friend then told me to play as a female Lavellan and to Romance that Egg. Well that opened a word I never thought I would step into. My Lavellan was a Reaver....

.... so it was interesting thinking about how a history nerd and a strong silent type would interact, and soon after I started writing I signed up to Tumblr and started my fan blog Dread Wolf Walking. And here we are....
