Um... well... it is set in Dragon Age universe with a few DA characters, but technically it's not Dragon Age fanfic, because it doesn't re-tell the games' story from PC's POV.

Is it? With few exceptions, I see re-telling fanfics, to the point I came to a conclusion I'm doing it wrong. I "grew up" with different fic writing style--original stories set in a universe--which I applied to DA.
And then I saw everybody else writes DAO or DAI.😅

I thought so too, but then I started writing in DA fandom and saw that others re-tell the games. I found original stories since, but there seems to be a lot fewer of those, or I'm bad at finding them 🙂
