I'm socially anxious and under stress of being observed by someone who knows me and subsequently labelled as a generally ineffective player who can only do a few things because of my reckless playstyle and ragegelling/a scorewh*re because of my preferred weapon choice, rational builds, liberal use of nukes, taking the "covering fire" role during revives and infrequent change of characters/one of at least two mutually exclusive cancerous types of SP subforum posters because of my most played races and characters/et cetera. Even the usual greetings are a bit nervous because I have no idea how much I should dose them and if I'm not trying to redeem myself after doing something antisocial during the wave like saving my ass with leaving someone to a "batch consumption of opspacks and medigels". In effect, I prefer playing with random people and only joining friends if nothing can be found. Having a voice chat really helps though but it's not a custom here on BSN.

But still, with the *scrolls FR* 12–14 of you I played with more than 4–5 times, it is, flings of anxiety excluded, always a pleasure of not being alone on the sea of incompetent teammates and outright bad teamplayers, pretty much always reaching that extraction. Some folks I feel specific about:

The first people to recognize me in a game, respond and carry me in my newbie days, leaving good memories that are still alive and make me fully relaxed

Playing with you feels… manly? It might be your age reflecting intangibly in playstyle or our class choices when together

The person who is not andy_3_913 but still leaves after any match

Then of cource pugs like glorysniper, Tecdet, that guy whose name I forgot but he has >2000 hours with Harrier TGI, ignores objectives and still gets outscored by a Shadow, PowerDandy (having failed to make friends with him, I turned to open hostility) or ALIENTECH, people who should be ostracized at best and banned from the game at worst.
I don't actually have anything against igorf33 – he's a good player and I'm assuming that his weird deaths and subsequent leaves is just his PC crashing and the host not noticing it for a moment – pretty sure that this is how this game's netcode works. Notice that he never (?) hosts.

wish i could say something about this guy but he usually quits on me in the beginning of the match. Either my or my friend's host really lags for him or i'm pissing him off for some reason.
