So long as it's not made by BioWare, isn't used as a way to milk more money from the player by EA - then sure, why not. Then I don't want it. I don't trust anyone but Bioware with this story, and even then not much considering how they ruined Revan and the Exile in SWTOR.

Wonder ho w much Disney-mandated f*ckery would be required to be put in the game? The thing I'm mostly worried about is it no longer being a RPG but instead having a fixed story to use for the canon. I don't mind this usually since games like Fallen Order were great, but if that's the case I don't want them using Revan or the Exile. If it's just based in the Old Republic era ut with all new characters then that's fine.

Wonder ho w much Disney-mandated f*ckery would be required to be put in the game? To me Disney interference is a bigger concern then EA interference. I think at times the amount of EA interference is blow out of proportion by internet rumors, but with Disney there has been plenty of upfront things they have done. Now I am not saying that they are going out to make a bad product, but to me Disney has the same problem as BioWare for both companies seem to be making big sacrifices for the yelling chamber of the internet instead of just making a product they want to make.

I just want them to port KOTOR 1 to something similar to the current SWTOR engine. Give Revan a voice and redo some dialogue like Resident Evil 2 Remake and I'll be happy. In today's age however I most likely won't be happy.

If you compared that Novel to the others, you have to realize that He didn't have his heart in it

I would probably rather see Bioware make an entirely new single-player RPG Star Wars game. Whether it's set in the KotOR era or in the new, sequel era doesn't really matter to me.

That would be my concern as well. I'd be happy to see either a more remastered than remade Knights of the Old Republic (still every bit as much an RPG and so forth) or an entirely new game, but - for example - a KotOR remake without character creation or major choices... no way.

After multiple attempts at updating the game, or just installing, and getting stuck on "finalizing" - it works today. No full screen but it's something. EDIT: Sort of works. Can't see the bottom of window which makes choices and even setting up my char extremely difficult.
Sorry, I know I'm super late to this discussion, but just in case you gave up and fancy another try- I could only get it to work on Steam and Win 7 by disabling movies. Bit of a shame it means missing out on cool Star Warsy moments, like seeing your ship fly about and the opening text crawl/music, but all the actual game worked.
